Business Description: The owner of Mike's Drywall Services, Inc. is Michael S. Kochen. He began his career in the home remodeling business in 1978 alongside his father, at the young age of 13. Through the next five years of working with his dad, he discovered that the most important aspects of running a business are to be prompt, reliable, honest and efficient in all the work that you do. This has become the mantra for all employees who work with Michael. We understand that you can't be fully satisfied with the work we've done if you aren't even sure what that work entailed. We thoroughly detail the projects we complete for you, such as roof repairs or other repairs around the home, so that you can be certain of the fact that you've received a fair price and that we adequately fixed the issue. When it comes to the drywall repair for your property, we can also provide you with comprehensive acoustic/popcorn removal services. This service is perfect for anyone in the middle of an extensive remodeling project. If the walls within your property have received any damage, such as gouges, holes or other issues, we provide plaster repairs that will make your wall look brand new. We will also provide you with fixes for any settlement cracks you've discovered in your property. These cracks can reduce the durability of your settlement. By repairing these cracks, you can be confident that the settlement of your home will always be of high quality.

Recent Review: My experience with Scott was wonderful!  I came home from work one evening to discover that the clothes rod in my master closet had come out of the wall, taking chunks of drywall and all my clothes with it.  Before I could install a new closet system, I contacted 3 drywall repair/handyman services on a Saturday morning.  I had to leave voice messages with each service, plus I followed up with email.   Scott's voicemail said that if I sent photos of the problem, he would get back to me with an estimate.  So I took photos of the holes in the drywall and sent them to his email address.  He not only got back to me immediately, but he gave me a reasonable estimate and said he could do the work as early as Monday afternoon!  I didn't even hear back from the other companies I called until Monday!  By then, I had already scheduled Scott.  He came out, assessed the situation and immediately got to work.  He also pointed out some potential problems that might come up when I had the rest of the shelving and hanging rods pulled out.  He was very reasonably priced, very conscientious and thorough. As we suspected, when the installer came the following Saturday to demo the rest of the closet and install the new rods and shelving, we ran into additional problems once the shelves were removed.  The shelves had been nailed AND glued to the wall, so removing them took more drywall out.  And we discovered the ends of the rods were driven into the wall itself by an inch or so, leaving more gaping holes.  So, I called Scott again.  This was on a Saturday afternoon.  He got back to me later that day and said he could come back on Sunday (Sunday!) to make the additional repairs to both closets because he had planned to be in the area anyway.  (He also was aware I was apprehensive about missing more work from my new job.)  Scott came back yesterday and in several hours repaired the holes in the drywall and re-textured the walls and prepared them for painting. (He does not paint.)  Plus, he installed a faceplate over a junction box in the ceiling that had been left uncovered! I highly recommend Scott and plan to call him again when I re-do the remaining closet and/or need additional drywall work done.

Recent Review: He was on time, very pleasant, clean and professional. I had just wanted the doors that were off fixed, but without asking he went from door to door and tightened all of the other ones, which I really appreciated. He was quick and cleaned up afterwards so no mess for me to worry about. Plus, my dog liked him, which is very rare. He does all kinds of handyman work and I would gladly recommend him to anyone!!!

Recent Review: There were pros and cons about the job. They had to come back a few times to fix things. When they removed the popcorn ceiling, they left the house a total mess. They left ladders and rags out. They cleaned up the next day. I guess they didn't think I was living there though. With the painting, there was just a lack of attention to detail. There were thin spots and areas where they didn't patch.

AWESOME - they had it done within a matter of days and the ceilings look 100% better!   You  could not ask for better - got the estimate right away, work done on time, job looked great, no mess left behind, price was exactly as promised (no surprises!). I would definitely use them again!

He did excelent work, very detail attentive and sugested things to make it perfect I had not thought of. He often threw in just a little extra more than his estimate to make the job look better. After the job was done, his clean up was top notch, better in fact than any other workmen I've had in. From the initial meet and estimate app't to the completion of the job he showed up and did as he promised. This is in itself a big deal as there are others you may find that don't. I "helped" with some of the work and found him to be a friendly curteous guy, very knowledgeable in many repairs and major jobs. In short, you can't go wrong with him.

ATWO BROTHERS HOME REMODELING
Rick Mead is a true professional. I have used him on four rentals and my own house. He is a superb painter and great handyman. I really appreciate that he is one of the few small contractors who is in control of his schedule and expenses. He knows how to bid and is worth every dollar! He finishes on time and always lets me know how the project is progressing. I always had assorted tasks as he is working and am very appreciative that he remembers all the tasks and does them properly the first time. I have found many handymen and painters require constant supervision - NOT Rick - he really takes pride in his work.

AArizona Painting & Home Repairs
Our 25 year-old golden oak cabinets needed updating, but we didn't want to go down the expensive road of installing new cabinets. Since Brent had worked for us before, we contracted with him to refinish the fifty-four drawers and doors with a dark gel stain. It was a very long and painstaking process, but we couldn't be happier with the results. Over the years, Brent has removed wallpaper, painted at least half the rooms in our house, and did some of the exterior fascia prep work and painting. When our son bought an older home in Mountain Park Rank, he used Brent to remove the popcorn ceiling and repaint all the rooms.  We have always been happy with the time and attention he takes in his work. He responds promptly and has very reasonable costs.

It was great. I think I found him through Fix it. I really liked Paul. He had a wonderful sense of humor and worked long hours. I think they were here for about 6 days. I was quiet at ease with them. They were efficient too.

AHandyman Connection - Phoenix
The Handyman Connection rep sent Rob to estimate the job and do the work. Rob is a craftsperson, far better skilled than a tradesperson, he did a phenominal job with each task. He was focused, organized, as tidy as a drywall job can be and absolutely committed to doing a fantastic work. No cut corners, no excuses, no "surprises" (which i expected) that would increase the cost, just 100% professional in every way. Handyman is fortunate to have him and i have more work to do and Handyman will be my first (and only) call and will specifically ask for Rob.

BPaul Meade Handyman
He was very professional, available on short notice, very careful with his work, did an excellent job assembling furniture, removing ceiling fan, and mounting tv. He was a very hard worker but a bit slow.  worked 10 straight hours and barely finished the bedroom.  Did a great job assembling but did need several reminders on which side to attach ladder to loft bed and to put doors on bookcase and entertainment center. Extremely professional and nice, very hard worker, very careful.   Did not clean up very well after the job and worked slowly.  Great guy but if I wasn't injured I probably would have done the job myself to save time and money.  I am very glad he was able to help me this time though. I wouldn't mind the $40/hr if he worked a little more efficiently.  I would have given all A's if he worked a little quicker and if he had cleaned up after himself. Otherwise, very nice man who did a competent job.
