Dan was prompt and extremely courteous as we worked through the Master Bath Remodel quotation process.  During the remodel, he was very detailed and ensured that everything was in place and available or scheduled for completion of the remodel.  The job took two weeks and Dan performed each part of the job with an eye on completion quality requirements. When Dan was finished with the remodel everything was inspected for high quality and there were no signs that he had even been there except for the beautifully remodeled bathroom.   I would highly recommend http://www.goldstarhandyman.com/.

ACactus Valley Homes LLC
We are VERY HAPPY with our decision to select Don and Cactus Valley Homes to remodel our master bathroom. We weren't sure exactly who to choose to do the work, so we obtained quotes from 4 different companies to make our decision. One of the reasons we selected Cactus Valley was because Don was the only one that provided a professional recommendation against one of the features we were considering. That may sound weird at first, but we wanted someone to tell us if there were potential negatives to any of our ideas. We didn't have the expertise and wanted someone who was honest and up front from the start. Having a large window in our shower would likely lead to leaking and mold issues and is overall a bad idea. This was something we thought might be a concern, but Don was the only one that spoke up about it. The other contractors just said it would be fine and brushed it off even when we expressed our potential concerns. Don recommended replacing the window with a small one that was up high and rebuilding the wall so it wouldn't be getting direct constant shower water. He was more concerned with doing it the right way, and to us, that spoke volumes. We also did our homework and researched the heck out of his previous work, license, and looked for any complaints or issues. We loved what we saw, and didn't see anything negative in our research. Don was very communicative both in calls, texts, and emails throughout the entire process. He and each of his workers worked hard throughout the project, and went above and beyond our expectations for customer service. He was proactive in obtaining materials and being prepared for the job. He and his son both had great attitudes and were friendly every single day - even on days when it was super cold outside and their hands were frozen from cutting tile! Since the work was done in our master bathroom, we had a construction area right next to our bedroom, but they cleaned up the job area each evening which made the process less stressful. We had our single shower and tub removed and a custom double shower installed. It is gorgeous!! They remodeled the entire bathroom with a new window (had to rebuild the outside wall with stucco and all), vanity, sinks, countertop, faucets, toilet, and floor tile. They removed an old in wall medicine cabinet, and installed can lights in the new shower. Every step of the project was well planned and timed out by Don and he kept us up to date on what to expect throughout. If you want quality work with great customer service at a good price - this is the company you should hire. I know we will be reaching out to Cactus Valley in the future and have already recommended him to friends and family.

We made an appointment with Lon to look over our project.  He arrived on time and made a good first impression on my husband and me.  He was neat, clean, well-spoken and friendly.  We showed him the room we wanted redone and he asked pertinent questions and answered ours.  He made suggestions that were helpful and gave us an off the cuff idea of what kind of dollar amount we were looking at.  We talked about our budget and what changes we could make that would save us some money.  We asked him for an estimate and he emailed that to us the following day.  Lon was able  to fit in our remodel between a couple of big jobs his crew was already working on.  Our project was mainly cosmetic and took 7 work days to finish, except for the installation of the glass walls for the shower.  The supplier didn't get the glass in when promised, so the bathroom was finished and usable except for the shower after 7 days.  It was another week until the glass came in and was installed. The project included removing wallpaper from the bathroom, retexturing and priming and painting the walls, removing the bathtub and closing up the drain, replacing the cultured marble counter top and two shower walls and floor, installing tile floor and baseboards, installing a new toilet and quality sink and shower fixtures, exhaust fan and lighting.  The glass contractor installed the glass walls of the shower. The crew that labored at our home were real troopers.  They all had worked with Lon for years except for one new fellow.  They were all friendly and polite and patiently answered all the questions we asked.  By the end of the job they were practically family. They did their best to keep the dust and debris contained and always cleaned up every afternoon when they left.  They were obviously very skilled and particular about their work. Lon checked in on the project several times during the remodel and kept us informed about the details of the schedule.  After the shower was finished and we were using it, we had some water seeping out from under one corner of the glass wall.  We reported this to him and he had the glass company out there the next day to reseal it.  Problem solved. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of our remodel and have passed Lon's name onto friends who have seen pictures of the beautiful result.  We plan to have him return and update our hall bath as well as our kitchen. My one complaint about the whole process was that we didn't get a paper or email copy of the invoice during the process when we made some changes mid construction.

Initially we had 3 companies bid on our project, of the 3 Lon Lisbeck gave me the most confidence out of the 3 bidders. Although his estimate came in slightly more than the others, we decide to go with him because he also had the most experience and was very organized. We liked having to only deal with Lon, instead of multiple contractors. His team was very courteous, knowledgeable and hard workers. They answered our questions and addressed our concerns throughout the process, which gave us great piece of mind. The project took about 4 - 5 weeks start to finish. They took out the existing shower and bathtub, installed new fixtures, plumbing and tile on our new walk in shower and bathroom floor. We can say with confidence that his team are master craftsman, and Martin is a genius with tile work. We have plans to continue with remodels in the future and Lon and his team are the only ones we consider working with. file://localhost/Users/Melisa/Pictures/iPhoto%20Library/Originals/2014/Feb%208,%202014_3/Entry-2.jpgfile://localhost/Users/Melisa/Pictures/iPhoto%20Library/Originals/2014/Feb%208,%202014_3/Entry-2.jpgfile://localhost/Users/Melisa/Pictures/iPhoto%20Library/Originals/2014/Feb%208,%202014/Inside_view-2.jpg

Very well. An old-style tub was removed, and in its place CKBR designed an installed a modern spa-like shower. We also replaced the carpeted bathroom with tile, put in new cabinets and lighting, and added a marble countertop.

The design process went really well because I knew almost exactly what I wanted. The tile work was beautiful and well worth what we paid. The cabinets however were not near the quality I had expected given what we paid. I noticed a lot of flaws on the doors and brought this up and the company ordered new ones. For some reason the mirrors were hung lop sided and too tall, we asked for one mirror to be lowered, but instead they raised the other. I'm short and that didn't work for me at all so we fixed it ourselves. They installed a shower head that had black on it, with the rest of the bathroom being white, blues and greys, and it didn't match at all. It was the first thing you'd see walking in to the bathroom. I asked them to change it to all chrome and they did. At one point their painter had painted the ceiling (which he wasn't supposed to do) and when I brought it up to the project manager I was asked what I wanted to do about it. This was annoying because it should have been obvious that they needed to fix it, not ask me what I want to do about it. In the end that was also fixed. In the end the bathroom turned out beautifully. Although it hasn't been a year and the mirrors (paint) have already started to crack. (Planning on calling them when I have time).

After having 5 different contractors give us quotes on our remodel, we chose Todd and Rick. Todd was great at communicating every step from initial quotes, buying materials, offering great design ideas and being patient as I changed my mind along the way. They were very professional, always punctual, and left a clean work place every day. They also do about 90% of the work themselves, so we didn't have a bunch of strangers in our house sub-contracting. I know I will be calling them next year when I plan to remodel our kitchen. These guys are the best.

AINTERIOR REMODELING BY SIMMONS
Great! The quality of work is excellent, the sub-contractors they work with are top notch, they show up when they say they will and the work is done pretty much according to schedule. The crew is polite and concerned about their impact on your working schedule (now that we are working from home).

ASunset Tile & Bath Inc
I will try to keep this short. This company should be an example for all contractors. Mark from the start listened to every detail and nailed it exactly as we wanted. His help in choosing all the products was a great help and Paul on the job was equally as great with suggestions or getting it the way we wanted. If you want an honest and great experience I recommend this company. They have an excellent crew doing the work. Like a couple of reviews stated I had to wait a couple of months to begin, but that means they are in demand and they were definitely worth the wait. Professional, clean and produce a fantastic finished product. What more can you ask for.

Recent Review: Siegler Design Services came up with a beautiful solution that met all our criteria. Naomi consulted with our contractors to get the job done right. She has the unique ability to "translate" the thinking behind her materials choices and to refer us to quality vendors that do a good job. We are saving money for our upcoming kitchen renovation and plan to ask Siegler Design Services to oversee it.

Recent Review: Thank you so much Legacy for the exceptional bathroom and home remodel. My spouse and I had our master bathroom remodeled, including removing an existing tub, moving the shower, a whole new solid wood closet, new vanity, reconfiguring of the water closet, and installation of a steam sauna. We were so happy with our bathroom remodel, we asked Legacy to install quartz topped cabinets in place of existing half walls, redo the rest of the closets in our house, install a new front door, new paint inside and out, and many other items in and around our house. I think that typically when one gets anything remodeled the results usually look very nice, what with new cabinets/flooring/fixtures/paint, etc. However, what really makes a remodel something to enjoy for years to come, is having it professionally designed and built/installed by a company like Legacy. In the end the remodel my husband and I had done was not simply what I was expecting or hoping for, it was better than I could conceive and is a representation of what a team of professionals like Legacy can do. It was not just an exceptional bathroom and home remodel, but a change to my home that makes it beautiful and functional. The Legacy team went above and beyond and their expertise in what they do to make my remodel perfect. Legacy’s design team of Debbie and Jeremy helped me select materials and fixtures that worked with the existing character of my home and really brought all the looks together. The 3-D rendering Jeremy did helped me see how the space could be reconfigured and, in addition to including everything I wanted, added touches that I never would have thought of. And these touches did not measurably impact the cost; they were small items such as a different placement / curvature of a wall and different type / placement of a drain. The thoughtful initial design really made a difference in the final product. Craig was the PM/super who managed my remodel and was fantastic. He handled any issues that came up during the remodel such that I never even knew about most of them. Craig also, in overseeing the day-to-day work and trades, brought up small tweaks that, again, didn’t really impact the cost but made a big difference to the final look and functionality of the space. He really understood what my spouse and I were looking for and had awesome ideas that the professional tradesmen and Legacy’s in-house master carpenters were able to implement right on the spot, such as a different way to light our new sauna incorporating a hard-wired switch, complete with a stained glass effect, and creating a built in look for my sauna. Craig, himself an experienced master carpenter, also spent some weekends working on making my master closet something that really works for my spouse and me and looks beautiful too (solid pine). I really appreciated Craig’s technical expertise and making my remodel flow smoothly. Legacy’s in-house carpenters and professionals were truly hard working experts at their crafts. Scott, Floyd, Steve, and Greg made everything just look gorgeous and also mentioned little things they could do to really make things come together. Scott and Floyd, along with Craig, spent a lot of time creating my master closet and getting the shelving semicircle look/functionality I was going for, including Scott creating a wrap around rod design. Additionally, extra matching solid wood around my sauna was added to enhance the look and even the relatively small tasks, such as making baseboard pieces such that they curve around a wall, were done incredibly beautifully by Scott. I was so happy with my master closet, I asked the Legacy team to gut and redo the rest of my closets. Floyd created 4 more build in closets made of solid wood. They are incredibly strong and maximize the closet space. Floyd also installed my front door and master bathroom undersink cabinets. They look phenomenal and most importantly, work perfectly. You know the frustration when something does not work quite correctly (such as a door that scrapes/hard to open or a cabinet not quite lined up), well, I am delighted to say not in my house. I believe many companies can procure nice materials but, without expert installation, it may not be quite right or not hold up well over time. Floyd really took care of things and his experience was invaluable. The last two in-house professionals were Steve and Greg. Steve was a new addition to the Legacy team over the course of my remodel and was also fantastic. He took great care to make sure things were done how I wanted them, even small things such as hooks at an optimum height and configuration. I could tell he really cared about making everything perfect. Lastly, Greg installed my half wall cabinets and made them look one of a kind with the way he built out the baseboards; they look very elegant. The in-house Legacy experts brought out the materials and design to their full potential. In addition to the folks directly employed by Legacy (their design team, project managers, and master carpenters/professionals mentioned above), they work with a great network of skilled tradesmen. I was really happy with the electricians, plumber, counter installers, and tile specialist who came into my home. Everything looks flawless, especially the tile work around my shower walls, including a bench and built ins. I was really impressed with the expertise of the painter Ken. Ken and his crew painted my home inside and out and made the walls look better than they were before by patching and fixing them, even items I had not noticed before. Everything he did makes my home look polished. Ken also put in/designed a new gate for me that is really stunning as it has an aged wood look. On a practical aspect, Legacy also made sure that the materials were up to their standards. I really appreciated this as my spouse and I are in a very different line of work and many times did not know what we were looking at. Legacy sent my new front door back to the manufacturer twice (no additional cost to me) because it did not meet their standards. It gave me piece of mind that they were making sure things were done correctly, even if they were items I might never have noticed (e.g., configuration within a wall). Lastly, on a personal note, all of the Legacy folks were really great to have in my home and were always very flexible with an eye towards making everything about my remodel perfect. I enjoyed speaking with them and hearing their thoughts on how to elevate my home. They really went above and beyond with extra touches. The knowledge and expertise of everyone at Legacy is not something you find just anywhere. Legacy took the initial idea of what I wanted for my remodel and made it something really extraordinary. Thank you.

Recent Review: Odd to say about a remodel project; but the entire experience really was a pleasure.  The work was very organized and kept to schedule.  There was no wasting of time by the crew members, yet they were very personable and polite. The owner or foreman were always available to answer any questions that we had.  We were always aware of the schedule and what to expect of each day; which was very important to me as my office is in my home so I was always aware of what was being done. As with any remodel, everything didn't go completely smoothly; however, as soon as anything incorrect was discovered, it was fixed right away and never seemed to slow down the progress.   I was very impressed by how much McCurdy Construction made the project about us, rather than just a job. Each time I spoke to the owner, the foreman or the designer, the first question was, "How are you liking it?"  They were willing to make requested changes, along the way, so that the completed project is just exactly what we wanted.   Not only do we recommend McCurdy Construction to anyone we know needing this type of work, we would never consider using anyone else.
