Recent Review: Everything went very well.  They weren't sure if they could raise the ceiling until they actually got into it to see the layout of AC ducts, electrical, weight-bearing beams, etc. but we were lucky!  Our house was built in 1979.  We bought it in 1981 and did not like the low (7') ceiling in the kitchen.  We saw an ad for a dome that could be built into low ceilings so had that done.  It was better but over time, looked very dated and I grew to dislike the plastic side panel of the dome. We've used Kirk Development for several other remodeling projects and have always been more than satisfied with their work, pricing and professionalism.  This project was no exception.  The work was done in the time frame quoted at the price quoted and it looks amazing!  You'd never know the new ceiling hadn't been built that way from the beginning.  I only wish we'd done it sooner. We're looking forward to a cooler kitchen this summer as Kirk added one more AC vent and we now have canned lighting on a dimmer instead of several florescent bulbs that give off a lot of heat.

FAST FIX DRYWALL
Recent Review: They bolstered up and leveled the dropped ceiling. Then they replaced wallboard and textured and spackled it. When they finished I let it dry and painted it. There was a visible line where the new spackling and the established spackling was. I didn't see it until I painted it. He took the left over spackling material, threw it in the front yard river rock. It has now solidified around the river rock. I now have to pull it out on my own. I have called Mr. Williams 2 times. The 2nd time he said he would take care of it. That was at the beginning of May and he has not been out to fix it.

Recent Review: When I finally decided the time had come to remodel my almost 40 year old master bathroom, I received a number of estimates. Only one company made me feel it was the right match. Lon, from ShowerAndBath.com came over to my home to review my 'small' project. I gave him a wish list and he jumped on board saying, "We can do that" to every item on my list, including a pocket door and removing the dropped ceiling and false wall in the shower. He didn't hesitate when I said I wanted the shower controls moved to where it was easier to reach. Through the whole process of design and implementation, the folks on his team are awesome. They are professional to the core and it was a pleasure to work with each of them. We encountered a few problems along the way, but not surprising on a home this old, but Lon and his crew took each issue in stride and worked to solve it. My bathroom once felt small, cramped and to be honest rather ugly. Now I love the bathroom! I want to just live in there! Thanks Lon, Gene, Brian, Pat and all the others who worked so hard to deliver the best renovation I could have imagined. Jeannie

Recent Review: Jason and his team not only did an amazing job moving me into my new house but Jason mentioned he also did handyman stuff as well. He installed a few fans for and mounted my TV on the wall, which I have never had done before and I absolutely love it! I asked him if he could replace the garbage disposal and he said yes! I was so pleased with his work and how great his team was I told my dad all about it and my dad hired him to do a bathroom remodel, he took out old cabinets from the kitchen, removed the awful drop ceiling in the kitchen and raised it, since he did that he also installed new light fixtures and cool dimming switches! He also replaced the toilets in my dad's house and cleaned out all the drains and faucets from all the hard water build up. This company can pretty much do it all!

Recent Review: Mike very willing to work to our schedule - and still perform very well.  "Easily" worked around my messes. Got the work done sooner than expected.  A little over spray in kitchen dropped ceiling - but I was repainting any way.  He did extra area for no extra charge because it wouldn't look right not to.

Recent Review: Doug McKenzie was referred to us by a family member who was well acquainted with him and his capabilities.  We called and set an appointment to discuss a couple of projects we wanted done at our house.  Doug came over and we discussed what we were interested in doing. Arrangements were made to do the initial projects discussed at the meeting.  They went so smoothly and exceeded our expectations that we then discussed the various aspects involved in making the house more energy-efficient (Insulation in attic, better windows, and insulating stucco wrap) on our house built in the early 1970's.  Doug handled each project efficiently and with attention to detail. Still very pleased with what he had done - we moved on to a total kitchen remodel. The Kitchen was a dark, small, cramped room with a dropped / lowered ceiling and recessed lighting. The project called for raising the ceiling replacing the cabinets, better lighting (including under the cabinets), and essentially redoing the kitchen from the bare walls. He asked questions, provided samples, and took the steps to make sure we were comfortable with the choices available and always made sure what he was doing was in accordance with what we ultimately wanted. The Kitchen project was huge - and his understanding of what we wanted to achieve, providing samples & ideas, taking the time to locate what he thought we wanted, and directing us to the location to check it out (or bringing samples to us) insured we ultimately got the cabinets, granite counter-tops, and paint colors we wanted.  Then there were the special touches like the crown molding, vent pipe cover, and spice rack which brought it all together. One thing progressed to another and after the kitchen was finished, we proceeded to each room of the house - removing the ?cottage cheese?ceiling, texturing the ceiling, painting the walls, and renovating the concrete floors. We decided to stain some of the concrete floors and purchased wood flooring to install in the rest of the rooms, hall, entry, kitchen and family room.  The floors, while a lot of work, turned out great. Each room of the house now has its own feel and positive energy. We very much appreciate him taking the time to show us how the concrete floor stain would look in advance. The installation of the wood flooring we liked was very well done. His knowledge of available products, compatible trim, and the attention to detail made it all come together. It has been about 2 years since the projects we requested were completed. The house stays cool from the added insulation, dual pane windows and stucco wrap which were done first. Energy savings were noticeable on the power bill almost immediately. We appreciate the time and attention to detail on each of our projects, in order to understand what our ultimate goal(s) were while we updated our 1972 house. While there was sweat-equity involved, Doug provided guidance with helping us to do what- we could - and doing what we didn?t have the knowledge and/or expertise to do. Lastly, he worked with us allowing ,us to utilize sweat equity where possible and working around our living in the home while every project was planned and completed.  This helped us keep the costs within our budget and gave us a completed project we will love and enjoy for years.

lMichael Becker is a true professional and was vastly knowledgeable and experienced in installing 38 soundproof windows at my house. Prior to the installation date Mr. Becker came to my residence and took meticulous and thorough measurements of each window and promptly submitted them to the window manufacturer. As soon as the soundproof windows were delivered Mr. Becker promptly arrived at my home to install each of the windows as well as the frames. He took great care and attention to ensure that each window was properly fitted and installed. Mr.Becker also ensured that each of the 38 windows were tightly sealed and also repaired any and all existing cracks discovered around the windows. Mr. Becker provided me with a very reasonable written estimate that included a scope of work narrative and wriien guarentee. I quickly discovered that My House Dr. stands by their work when, shortly after the window installation, I encountered a problem with one of the windows. Mr. Becker immediately returned and corrected the issue without any additional cost. I would highly recommend Michael Becker. He did a fantastic job installing all of my windows and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Michael was very easy to contact, by phone or by email. He was quick to respond and always professional and courteous. He was highly recommended by the soundproof window company that we ordered from.  They said, "you will not go wrong if Michael Becker installs your windows." He did detailed measuring and was careful not to disrupt the plantation shutters that were already in place. He was extremely knowledgeable and I felt confident that he would do a good job from our first meeting. He gave us a "not to exceed" estimate for the installation at the time of the measurement. When the windows arrived at our house, he made every effort to come to install them at our earliest convenience--even coming out on a Saturday morning. We are extremely happy with the job. Couldn't ask for better service.

The workers arrived on time (even early, if I remember correctly).  We left and spent the day, night, and next day elsewhere  They were done on the second day at about 4:30 PM.  The house was left very clean.  I wanted the ceilings smooth, not textured.  The ceilings look beautiful!  There is a 30 day free repair period.  Mike came out and fixed 2 small cracks and a few other minor things. I was very happy with the job.  The kitchen ceiling had been raised previously, and after the wonderful job Mike's crew did, I could see how bad the kitchen ceiling is (done by another company).  I will have Ceilings, Etc  redo it.  I highly recommend this company!
