Recent Review: We had quite a large job in our backyard to tackle. After three estimates and interviews of contractors we decided on Joe's company. Part of the reason was price and his portfolio was very good. Joe's demeaner is a very peaceful, calm and patient. He is very easy to work with and agreeable and also very responsive and communicative. Everything he said he would do he has done and they showed up and worked until the job was finished, except for a few days of rain delay during the monsoon season. Joe was very fair with his pricing and kept his word on all matters we discussed. He's a good communicator and very professional. The crew came every day and worked hard as well & I believe Joe was here on site everyday . The work went over the course of about five or six weeks. The result was good. We are very happy. Given our budget I don't think anyone could have provided a better result. I would give the overall job an A minus. I would hire Joe again without hesitation and would not hesitate to recommend him for work.

Tucson Turf provides horrible service after they've received their payment. We have lumps of weeds under the turf and during rainy seasons the weed grow through the turf and it looks terrible. It requires more upkeep than natural grass. A competing company gave us a second opinion and said Tucson Turf most likely failed to place a weed barrier under the turf. Every time  we call Tucson Turf they promise to come and solve the problem, and they never show up. Do not do business with this company. We've had this ongoing problem for well over a year.

Santa Rita Landscaping Inc. was contracted to landscape our background. And while there were disappointments with regard to the artificial turf that required replacement, an issue regarding the gas grill and pathway, they pale in comparison to the more serious issue of the natural gas line running from an exterior wall of our home to the newly constructed natural gas grill. The contract documented that Santa Rita Landscaping would run 16 LN. FT.of gas line with trenching and permit  for the natural gas line from the home to the gas grill.  During research of the permit activity of our home I was shocked to discover that a permit had not been applied for or issued.  Therefore, no pre-cover inspection of the trench or pressure testing of the gas line, a code requirement. Santa Rita Landscaping was immediately contacted and a representative of the company informed us that the "gas line installer" stated that a permit was not needed.  The representative went on to say that we were charged for a permit and that a reimbursement would be made to us, which I declined, because I had researched this issue and I was certain that a permit and inspection was required.  I also wondered why at the time the unidentfied gas line installer said that a permit was not needed  I was not told and offered the refund at that time. Santa Rita Landscaping has acknowledged that a permit is required and a permit has been issued. They are moving quickly to remedy the issue, whcih will require removing the patio pavers, exposing the open trench for inspection and making any repairs, which will be inconvenient, and will ceate additional dirt, dust and noise. More importantly, my wife and I used the gas grill for the first time very recently not knowing that a permit and inspection disigned for our safety had not been made to protect us and our home. There are several free sources of information available to the consumer.  Had I not accessed the one regarding the permit activity of our home, this issue might not have been discovered until we went to sell the home or worse.
