Recent Review: They gave me three different estimates. The one I chose was about $2,000 and they are going to replace some plants in the front yard, fix the front yard irrigation, add irrigation to the back yard, and plant two trees and native plants that attract butterflies. They called me back quickly within two days. They scheduled the evaluation within a week, and gave me an estimate within another week. Within 2 and a half weeks I went from calling to being on their schedule.

Recent Review: The work was done and so I can't complain, I guess. I would not use them again because they took a very long time, failed to bring all the required material to the site in a timely manner, used an irrigation valve which popped out causing water to pour out all over the back patio until my neighbor shut it off, let the dog out of the yard 3 times and left me with a recommendation to travel to Tucson and purchase the irrigation drip line I would need to complete the planting. It didn't help that the project manager I started with quit the company half-way through the project. The big deal they made about a plant specialist to help decide what I should plan is a mystery to me. The person was pretty blase about the whole thing. I learned much more from nursery employees at Mesquite Valley Growers in Tucson and by walking around the neighborhood to see what was growing. don't know if any other companies are any better...

Recent Review: A neighbor had used Chris Miller to install a new drip irrigation system, and was very pleased with his work. We contacted Chris, he came the same afternoon to troubleshoot, then returned the next day and accomplished the work in less than 3 hours. Based on other yard work we've had done, Chris charges a very reasonable fee for his time and labor. We've hired him to return to do some yard cleanup. We'll certainly keep him in mind if we have other side jobs in the future. Chris Miller of Side Jobs advertises that he will do: landscaping, sprinklers, planting, design, rocks, sod, painting (interior and exterior), drywall, roof coating, paver installation, fence repair, mailbox installation, and electrical and plumbing.

Recent Review: I had two large pine trees that were tearing up my sidewalk and driveway so I called Mile High to see what my options were. Tom showed up on time to look at the trees and decided that they needed to be removed. He also suggested a few new trees and also a rain collection and irrigation system for the trees and plants. I agreed to have the work done and was scheduled for Monday morning. Tom again showed up as scheduled with two other workers and proceeded to cut the pine trees down. I ended up spending almost the whole day watching them work. It was very entertaining watching Tom climbing and cutting the huge trees. He must be part monkey. They finished cutting down the trees late in the afternoon on Monday and said they would be back Tuesday. Tom and his helpers showed up right on time again and got to work planting two large ash trees and the rain collection system. I had to leave for an appointment but when I returned I was amazed to see that the entire job had been completed and that they had even removed a few dead bushes that I had planned on doing myself and also cleaned all of the pine needles out of my gutters at no extra charge. Mile High is a very professional company that I would highly recommend if you need their type of services. I don't think they are the cheapest or the most expensive but in my experience they are very good at what they do and the most important thing is that they show up and complete the work as promised.

Rick is personable, sounds knowledgeable, seems to be genuinely interested in YOUR project.  His price is not too good to be true, but he will add discounts until he comes up with a price with which you will be comfortable.  And then the fun begins.  He will need payment in advance and the deal will have to be locked down quickly.  He has a list of folks he gives out as references.  He talks about a website and has pictures on a phone. As soon as you give him money things change. He may or may not show up, at all.  He will probably show up in order to get the rest of the money, but he will need payment before the job is finished.  He will "deposit checks in the bank" or so he claims, but actually take them to a check-cashing place which then does not recognize your stop-payment (because they are predatory)  and even if you get him over a barrel somehow by paying him cash at the end of each day's work, he will do a crappy job- not quite right- not enough sod or piping or fertilizer or sprinkler heads- just not quite right.  And then he leaves. Rick Keil is a scam artist.  My bank closed his account, and refuses to allow him to open a new one, but he will still come in and try to cash checks- which is his right, as long as he pays the bank fee.  He works Cochise County right now, as we believe there is an arrest warrant out on him in Pima, but we are filing arrest charges for fraud and theft by check here in Cochise, so maybe he'll be cleared out of here soon, too  DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN MONEY!!

Grasshopper Landscaping was absolutely awesome to work with from start to finish.  We really appreciated how Damon worked with us at the beginning to ensure we were getting the landscape design and flowers/trees that we really wanted. The backyard patio was replaced and the pavers are absolutely beautiful.  The crew installed our fire pit and ensure that it had easy access to turning the gas on. Throughout the 2 weeks process, the crew was wonderful to work with.  Marie, Nancy & Bree as office staff were excellent to work with as they kept us informed and communicated frequently.  Steven, Karl & Jesse did a beautiful job and always consulted with us before doing something major.  The final result is beautiful.  Both front and back.  We have had many people drive by and let us know how beautiful the yard looks from the street. Thank you Grasshopper Landscaping!  Mark & Geri
