Recent Review: Overall, the experience was great. We had some prep work of our own to do, such as move some furniture, but it wasn't that difficult. The carpets take the longest to dry, but it's well worth the wait - and it's only one day that is slightly disrupted. We waited an extra day before replacing the furniture just to be sure that the carpets were completely dry.

Reviews in Bensch Ranch to Clean or Seal Grout

APristine Clean LLC
Steve was very accommodating as I had to reschedule numerous times due to house not closing as lender said. Steve called prior to appointment and was very courteous and professional. He did a great job cleanning the stain filled grout lines and dirty tiles throughout the home by using a hand held pre-scrubber on heavy stain and professional cleaning machine. I asked Steve if we should seal the grout line after cleaning. Steve tested the area and recommend not to do so as it has already been done. He was honest and trustworthy. Highly recommend his service and would definitely use his service again.

ADesert Tile & Grout Care
He is very detail oriented, and takes pride in his work. He wanted to make sure I was happy with the grout before he left, which I was extremely happy! He did an excellent job.

They did a fair job, not too bad, but not what I was expecting.  We were moving and did not have time to call them about the problems we saw.  Had we called, I am sure they would have come out to fix the issues.

FBob Greenwood Tile
Owner Robert Greenwood, Generation Tile: This business does not know how to install porcelain tile that looks like wood planks. This type of tile is called rectified tile, and little to no grout should show. Generation's employees installed two decks and a large kitchen incorrectly. Generation's unskilled employees installed it as if it were regular tile, not to mention that there is a variation of grout color which is due to not using distilled water or premixed grout. We have white and beige grout throughout our floors. Yes, it is noticeable. We called Bob several times, and each time he came to our home to examine the work or sent his son, and neither understood the problem. I kept telling them that the tile did not look right but they insisted it was installed correctly, but they were very wrong. They also excused the various grout colors to the minerals in the local water, which is not true. Since Bob and our contractor insisted that the tile was installed properly, we hire professional forensic tile professional from Phoenix to examine our tile and give us an expert opinion. The forensic tile person, Mr. Ralph Williamson, wrote up a report that proves that our tile is installed incorrectly. It looks horrible and does not look like tile plank but regular tile. The grout line should not be over 1/16 th of an inch and it is approx 3/16 almost everywhere and this does make a huge difference if you want a wood like plank look. Now, this tile has to be removed and replaced, costly to someone. Yes, there will be legal issues with Generation Tile and the construction company, James and James Construction, Corp, who hired them as their sub. Anyone may Google rectified tile and see how it is to be properly installed. Disappointed to say the very least..

FKR Flooring Solutions LLC
The end result was worse than before they started. I'm surprised that these folks are allowed on Angie's List at all. The estimate provided by KR Flooring Solutions included: "Replace one tile with crack down the middle with new tile provided by the customer." That was the only mention of our having to provide tile before the work started. Fortunately, we had one spare tile -- but only one. The first worker showed up with a child in tow (babysitting at the time?) and caulked some cracks. That's all he did. He said that he couldn't replace the single, cracked tile because it would just crack again. Well, yeah, if the heaving isn't corrected, the same thing will happen... When we complained, they sent out another worker who told us that all of the loose tile needed to be pulled up and re-laid to repair the tile heaving. That would almost certainly break some tile. But, he also told us that we should be able to replace a lot of the tile if we needed for the $600 we paid. The trick would be finding the tile. I gave the workman the only replacement tile we had so he could try to match it. A couple of weeks passed and we didn't hear anything back, so I called. The folks on the phone weren't nearly as helpful as the second workman. They told me that the problem was that we didn't provide replacement tile, so they couldn't perform the repairs. I pointed out that the estimate only indicated we needed to provide one tile -- which I had given the second workman to match. I was told that they couldn't match the tile. I said, "You're KR Flooring Solutions, right? Give me a solution." I was told that they would call me. That's the last I've heard from them. In the end, we paid $600 for some caulking that only made the patio look worse. And, we never even got our replacement tile back. Very, very disappointing.

AMingus Tile Inc
We contacted Mingus tile and set up a time for an estimate.  Neil, the owner, showed up 5 minutes early ready to do business.  He was polite and very knowledgeable.  We discussed the backsplash and Neil made several good suggestions.  He told us we'd have our estimate via e-mail the next day.  We got the estimate the next day and we thought the cost was quite reasonable.  We placed a deposit and scheduled the work.  We also discovered Mingus tile does work for our builder and the builder endorsed him.  We like our builder. Neil and his installer Ronnie showed up early the first day and began work.  The work was done correctly and in a timely manner.  Ronnie was polite, civil, and did a very good job.  We were impressed.  Lines are straight, cuts look good and the grout smooth. Neil and Ronnie did exactly what we'd hope a contractor would do.  Show up on time--or early--do a good job at a good price.  We would recommend them to anyone looking for tile or flooring.

Since Renovations purchases all the materials, it's impossible to determine the actual cost of the materials and labor.  I assume they did their best to control costs, but would have preferred to see the budgeted line items.  Some of the documentation that accompanied the materials (installation instructions, warranty, care & cleaning instructions) was not provided to us. We should have thought to request all the material before the construction began. Renovations took the time to understand our desires and requirements.  They included us when making all the design decisions and kept us informed of their progress.   Mike Gringas meticulously planned the details and coordinated the efforts of all of the subcontractors, while dealing with the unexpected issues that arose.  If Mike was not happy with the outcome ? it was done over to his satisfaction. This led to a delay in the schedule, but was well worth it.  The remodeled bathroom exceeded our expectations - thanks to Mike and his highly skilled team's diligent efforts. All of the employees and contractors were professional, punctual, and courteous.  We felt quite comfortable leaving them to work alone in our house when we had other commitments. The work and surrounding areas were kept clean and uncluttered.  No detail was overlooked, including professionally cleaning both the remodeled bathroom and nearby bedroom, raking the landscape rocks in our yard, and changing the air filter in the bedroom when the job was completed.  Shawn Vacca and his team at Mile High Tile did a superb job laying the tile.  Sean meticulously designed and aligned the diamond-shaped tile patterns, willingly cutting tiny pieces when necessary to ensure the proper placement of each and every tile.  Renovations and the great team they assembled did a fantastic job making my dream bathroom a reality and I would highly recommend them if you are considering remodeling!
