HOME DEPOT INSTALLATION SERVICES
Recent Review: They at first came on a day they were not supposed to - and woke a person who works nights. They then said they couldn't do the installation for a couple of weeks. We had company coming and couldn't wait that long. They fit the installation into their schedule and came at a time to suit us.

Recent Review: We had a water leak in our bathroom and we feared the worst re cause and cost to fix.  Usually my husband can handle all sorts of plumbing repairs but this was beyond his expertise.  Chad determined cause of leak - explained to us clearly what needed to be done -  accomplished the repair in a little over an hour which included a trip to the hardware store to pick up needed material.  He performed clean up and discussed with my husband additional plumbing tips which were very helpful.  Very professional.  We were pleasantly surprised at his cost for this repair - we had not asked for an estimate which maybe we should have - however, great job done at very reasonable price.

Recent Review: We needed some changes to our hall bath and to hang a new front door. When we got the estimate, the contractor gave us a list of items to buy. We scheduled a time for them to come back. One item ran late so we had to change to start date. The contractor was very flexible in changing the date. The contractors showed up on time, and worked efficiently. There were a couple of minor problems - they initially tried to hang the vanity refacing with the wood grain running the wrong direction, and we never could find a set of tub / shower handles that would fit properly to replace the old ones. They finished the work in 2 days and charged me exactly the estimate. My only issue is that in looking more closely at some of the work, it is not exact (i.e. - the cabinet door is not exactly hung square, a facing corner is not cut exactly to the opening, etc). All of it is minor, and I am probably the only one who sees it. I would use them again for small jobs.

Paul Davis Restoration
Recent Review: Paul Davis Restoration did a terrific job. The supervisor, Randle Whitmore, did an excellent job of explaining the work to be done and making sure it was accomplished promptly and professionally. The bathroom vanity, cabinets, mirror, and some drywall needed to be repaired and/or replaced. When they were done, I couldn't tell there had ever been any damage. The entire process, including repainting the entire bathroom, took five days, exactly what had been promised. Definitely recommend.

Recent Review: They were very prompt in even coming to give me an estimate. The only downside was they said they were going to come and they were 3 1/2 hours late. They didn't call to let me know that they were going to be late. Once they came, they did an excellent job. After they left I found a little water leak and they came back the next day to fix it. They were good workers and they were very nice and cooperative. I would use them again.

Recent Review: I had an occasion to use this company a second time. I had replaced a bathroom vanity and when I turned the water back on for the new faucet, water started spraying everywhere from the hot water cut-off valve. I also had a toilet that was very slow after each flush. I called them at 11:30 am, and the guy was here by 12:30. He was here for less than an hour, fixed both problems, told me what was wrong and presented a very reasonable bill. For the second time I have used them, they did another outstanding job and I would recommend them to everyone I know. I am very pleased with this company and their employees.

Recent Review: When I first met with Justin he was very easy to talk to and listened to everything I wanted done. The quote I was given was very thorough and the price was competitive. The entire project took three weeks and probably could have been completed sooner (we had to wait on granite, which was not coordinated by Justin).  I was very happy with the speed of their work.  Justin and his guys were always very courteous and cleaned up after themselves.  They were continually willing to answer any questions I had and address any new changes I had decided on.  I have received multiple compliments on my new kitchen and I anxious to find another project for Justin and his crew.

Recent Review: I had a list of initial repairs. Rodney Meyers (owner) responded promptly and proved to be a very polite and professional gentleman. Personally, I prefer a more relaxed personality, but this was just my personality preference. Once some time had progressed, he became a bit more relaxed and I was able to feel more comfortable in working with him. He provided me an estimate and we discussed in detail and made sure we were in agreement. As for pricing, it's another particularly personal thing about me. Iand quot;m a bit of a cheapskate. The prices were not very high, especially for the quality of work. I suppose paying $1,000 for a new water heater is not ridiculously overpriced, He has a small crew (that I knew of and had working in my home), but they were all very friendly and did good work. His and quot;generaland quot; handyman, Neal, was quite skilled in the painting and repairs. I had a side of a bathroom vanity damaged from a leak that was not properly repaired and Neal worked wonders. You cannot tell that it is not part of the original vanity structure. There was some damage to my carpet upon replacement of my water heater. However, Rodney came and we negotiated a discount due to the damage. In replacing my outdoor shed, they matched the building paint perfectly and repaired my patio gate as requested and even moved the gate latch that was needed and I had not mentioned it; and he included it in the estimate. I was initially concerned about having strangers in my home; especially if I was not present. However, again, these concerns were laid to rest. I trust Rodney Meyers and his contractors and would have no problem with any of these men in my home; whether or not I am present. Another major plus is great communication. I found that virtually every time I emailed or texted Rodney, he would reply within minutes. When I am able to continue repairs, I will be calling on Handy-Works and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

FGreenway Home Services
BEWARE!!! We had a frozen pipe in the downstairs front room of our house. My husband was working from home and heard it when it broke so the water was turned off immediately. We called Greenway because we had used them before for heating and air. The repairman came out the same day to do the repair. He couldn't repair it the first trip because he didn't have enough parts so he capped off the line and came back a few days later. When he finished, instead of welding a section of pipe in to replace the busted section, he installed several corner pieces so the pipe was shaped in a "U". This is where the problem started. A little over a week later I came home to a flooded downstairs. One of the joints had broken free while we were at work and water was everywhere! I called Greenway. They called one of their technicians (who was already at home, he said) to come over immediately to repair the pipe. He did at no charge. He admitted that it was a faulty repair and told us to not worry. Their plumbing manager would be calling us and that they "take care of their customers". The Manager did call and said that he would get someone out the next day to start the clean up and repair process. He had a company come over to vacuum up the excess water and the next step was to have a mediation team come put out fans to dry everything out. This is where the nightmare began. The Plumbing Manager called me back right after they finished vacuuming up the water saying that he had been told by the owner to not send anyone else out. We would need to file a claim with our homeowner's policy for any additional services. We didn't want to file a claim on our policy and fought with them until late Monday morning until they finally had their insurance company call me. When they did, I was told that they would pay us the depreciated value of everything that was damaged, not pay to put things back as they were. Their insurance company told me that the only way we could get things back to normal with no out of pocket expenses would be to file a claim with our insurance then have them file a claim with them. Since the flood had done thousands of dollars worth of damage, and we didn't have the money to replace hardwood floors, carpet, bathroom vanities, furniture baseboards and painting we reluctantly filed a claim with our homeowners insurance. We had to pay our deductible but were told that when they subrogated with Greenway's insurance company we would get it back and the claim wouldn't count against us. Our insurance company had everything repaired which took about 4 weeks, then contacted their insurance (which is what Greenway had been wanting us to do since the beginning). Their company refused to pay the claim stating the it wasn't a faulty repair, that the pipe had frozen again. We had pictures showing water coming from the joint that wasn't soldered, but that wasn't enough. We asked them to produce the receipt where they would have charged us again for the repair if it had simply been another frozen pipe, but they couldn't because they didn't charge us again. They got out of taking responsibility for bad workmanship and we were not only inconvenienced for a month during the repairs, but were out of pocket the amount of our deductible AND had a claim filed against our insurance which made our rates go up. BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! Just be sure that if you do use them that you have good homeowners insurance. If they make a mistake at your house, you'll need it!
