Recent Review: They have done several stuff for me and they are outstanding.  They are a mile away down the road from me.  They are very prompt and very professional.  They have been very, very knowledgeable in some very, very complicated plumbing issues that I have had.  The excavation work they did was excellent but the main thing is that they have been available really, really quickly.  I stuck with them because of their reliability.  They have had some personal changes within the company but it has been first class work all along.

Recent Review:    We recently retired to a new home in the area. We had several contractors help turn our rugged mountain top into a livable piece of property, not only helping but taking personal interest in our project(s).    Larry Sizemore came out within two days after my initial phone call, starting work two days later. His equipment was proof that he was no amateur. His experience and professionalism resulted in excellent work. We could not have anticipated the diligence and quality of work Larry has provided.    We cannot say enough good about Sizemore Excavating.

Recent Review: We bought an older home and had toilet backup issues just a few weeks after moving in. I called 3 "A" rated plumbers on Angie's List. Jack was very reasonably priced when compared to the other two I contacted (one of those companies wanted $370/hr on the weekend). Jack spent a 1/2 day trying to clear obstructions from the downstairs toilet -- he pulled out cotton shop towels, masking tape and other items likely left by remodelers hired by the previous owner. He also pulled tree roots out which was a bad sign. Unable to clear the blockage, he brought a crew back on Monday to trace the line using an electronic device. Since the line didn't have cleanouts, it's wasn't apparent how the line went from the house to the street. Jack brought an excavator and proceeded to take out the old line (which was packed full) and clear blockages both to the house and from the curb to the street. He installed new PVC pipe with 3 cleanouts. I'm thankful that we were able to connect to existing pipe and didn't have to tear up the new patio. Jack and his crew are a hard workers - spending 11+ hours on this job. He had given me a quote prior to doing the work and actually gave a significant discount since he didn't have to dig as deep as originally thought (4 ft. vs. 7 ft). I would trust him to do any work I have in the future and he will be the first one I call.

Recent Review: The Rogers Water Department had been checking street valves and water usage in our neighborhood out at the lake. The water department tech notified me that I had a potential water leak. With the Tech present I shut off the main valve in the basement and the tech could still detected an audible leak with his acoustic equipment. An internet search lead me to "Cox Plumbing and Leak Detection". I didn't want someone to just find the leak, I needed someone who could troubleshoot the system from the street meter to determine if I really did have a leak and then if there was a leak to find and fix it. When I first called Cox Plumbing, Mindy answered the phone. I thought she was just an answering service(sorry for the profiling Mindy), but she knows her plumbing! As I described what had transpired with the water department tech she immediately told me that my basement shut-off valve type is a notorious leaker and just because I closed the house valve and the Tech could still hear water running in the system did not necessarily mean there was a leak between the meter and the house. She told me to fix all of my internal leaks and then recheck the meter. Three of four toilets were leaking and after putting in new toilet kits, the street meter showed "Zero" flow. Bingo !!!! Mindy saved me from digging up a concrete retaining wall and driveway to replace the flowline from the meter to the house. Once I fixed the leaks in the house however, my pipes began to rattle randomly whenever the water was NOT flowing. Checking the pressure in the house revealed that it was the same as the delivery pressure at the street(approx 110psi). A check of the pressure relief valve showed that no matter what setting I chose, the pressure would bleed back up to 110psi and the pipes would start rattling randomly again. The relief valve was bad and the cause of the transient vibrations. Another call to Mindy and an exchange of text messages with photos of the basement valve and piping arrangement lead to a quick estimate and appointment to change out the pressure reducer and add a new shutoff valve. The replacement was quick and clean. Mindy and Malcolm were very professional and explained everything(acoustics and leak detection) to my satisfaction. I could not recommend them more highly. The diagnostics and elimination of the possibility of an underground leak between the meter and the house which would have caused me to excavate into a concrete retaining wall and elevated driveway was priceless !!!!!
