AAirmasters Heating & Air Conditioning
On the second-hottest day of 2013 at 6 p.m. my wife, who has much sharper hearing than I, heard the alarming screeeee! sounds that usually means the fan motor in the indoor condenser of the air conditioner is giving up the ghost. I called Airmasters and got a human being on the phone a full hour after business day had ended. I explained the problem and that we have a maintenance contract. Thirty minutes later the technician was standing at the front door. He came in and listened to the noise. After running a thorough check with several gauges and electronic devices, he said he didn't think the fan motor was going bad. He said, "Let's try changing the air filter." I had already bought a new filter and had planned to install it the next day. It worked! The noise went away. He waited several minutes to make sure it didn't return. No charge! This sounds kinda routine, but the technician could just as easily have told me the fan motor WAS about to die and sold me a $500 repair job on a 101-degree day. But he didn't. I appreciate the honesty, promptness and thoroughness.

The summer of 2012 was unusually hot even for Arkansas. Our central air went out in June and we picked TSI as pretty much a blind grab from the Yellow Pages. The technician, Scott, was at our house for days, tracing the system inside out to diagnose systems illness. He came back the third day with Jimmy the owner who determined that we needed a new compressor. Thankfully the part was under warranty and we would only have to pay for labor. Three compressors later at the end of the summer, they finally determined that the initial installation (done by a shade tree tech to save money) had been done improperly and the wiring was blowing one compressor after another. They rewired the system and we had cold air by fall... yea! Yes we had one long hot summer but these guys stayed on the job until the situation was resolved. They never charged us one penny for parts or labor. They get an A+ on this report card.

They handle Trane air conditioner and that's what I wanted so that's why I went with them. They had to come back and fix it.

It was a complete waste of money. They did not fix my air conditioner, and I had to call somebody else to fix it. I am extremely dissatisfied with the right now.

AJay's Service Company
They were super prompt. It was hard to get same day service because we live in Arkansas. They told us they could help us that day. They came out and inspected everything and told us what the issue was. The technician was here for about an hour and checked everything downstairs where our AC unit is. He came back up and gave us a quote then went to get the part. He then came back and fixed it the same day. He talked with us about some other issues we had that we didn't know. The AC guy was fabulous and very understanding.

He quickly found the problem and repaired it. Did not name other parts that could be replaced saving me money.

ACalahan Construction & Air
The owner, Mr. Callahan, gave us a prompt inspection of our ac and heating unit. Because the unit had been giving us problems for years needing costly repair and caused smoke to enter the house with most recent problem, we opted for total replacement. They scheduled replacement the next day and completed the work in one day. Just as they were finishing up the assistant working with Mr. Callahan had an unfortunate misstep resulting in a hole in the ceiling in our bathroom. Mr. Callahan sent the assistant back the next day to repair the hole. He worked to make the repair with patience and perfection treating the repair as if it was his own house and when he was finished we couldn't tell there had ever been any damage. The area damaged was very difficult to repair, but he worked patiently attending to every detail. Both men were prompt, courteous and friendly and treated the job as if they were working on their own home. An excellent job was done and we will definitely use them again when we need work that that they do. Thank you Angie's list for finding us such a professional caring provider to do our work!

ABob & Ed's Heating & Air Conditioning
The old compressor died the evening of the 6th. Bob and Ed's came out the next day and examined the situation. We discussed what I wanted to do, and they changed out to a new unit the next day. The technician was professional, courteous and glad to answer all my questions. Since we had used them in the past for maintenance and repairs, I already knew they were skilled and honest. The young man did good work and even cleaned up after the work was done. The new unit (a Rheem) has worked wonderfully!

AMiddleton Heat & Air
My air conditioner stopped around 1:00 on a Sunday afternoon and by 4:00 the Hand A technician was at my house. Fortunately, the problem wasn't major but I was very thankful that Middleton has technicians available on the weekend. I have used Middleton for 11 years and have received uniformly respectful and competent service.

Recent Review: They've got to come out twice a year under our contract. The good thing was that there wasn t any additional charge when they came out for this minor repair. It was covered under that contract. It was just a little leakage in the attic from the tubing that drains the excess condensation from our air conditioning unit. They got it fixed up right away without any problems.
