We first contacted Julie Rice and her company after viewing their online web site. They promised the highest level of quality and complete satisfaction. We paid our first payment the first week of October. Our counters were installed incorrectly weeks later. The product that they installed cracked, flaked, and lost color. She stated that this must have been from a bad batch of materials, as well as the temperature change when it was poured. It was warped and would not lay flat. They broke a wood support on our cabinets installing it. The countertop does not even rest on the supports. They had promised to re-pour the counters after over a month of trying to get this corrected. We only allowed this because we thought she was an honest person, and perhaps the materials really were defective. She informed me the weekend before Christmas that she dropped and broke the replacement counters on the way to install. She at that point agreed to a refund. She has promised several times that a check would be mailed within a day or two, only to push the date again. We are now four months from her cashing our first check. Our counter tops look horrible, and are falling apart. We will have to replace the wood she damaged. We fortunately have kept all of her correspondence, including her promises to refund our money, but ultimately it appears we will have to seek to have the cost of repairing her mess in court.
