The doors were ordered in October, installed the first week of January. The installers were to be here at 9am. They did not show up. We called Champion and go stuck in an automated phone loop. Finally at 11:00 went to their retail location. The contacted the installer and he showed up at 2:00. Champion told us that their phone system had been down for a week! The doors were not installed well. They did not shut well, the threshold had a large gap, they used a caulk that looked bad on the inside and outside and the doors were already de-laminating. The local manager came out the next week to look at them and agreed. He ordered new doors. Those were installed and within 24 hours did not shut well, had pre-drilled holes that were not used and the manager admitted that the frame was not plumb. The also began to de-laminate on the inside edge of the door where the 2 doors meet. We asked for a refund or our old doors back. Champion manager verbally agreed and said his corporate was working it and a check would be mailed to us or to their retail location. No check came. My husband called the corporate contact and she said that no refund was in process. She promised a return call but never did. The local office will not return our calls. in the last 20 years we've spend more than $30K with Champion for windows, siding on 2 homes and a patio cover. Their service and products have deteriorated to the point where I will never consider them again.
