Recent Review: French drain had to be dug, hole was at least 5 feet deep on the side of my house (at the top of the slope and got shallower the farther down you went). Randy Johnson's crew spread thick water-proofing (tar-like stuff) all along the block fondation of my home as well as on the inside all along the foundation where the water was entering my home. A nice, sturdy drain pipe was added and the hole was filled back up. A more powerful sump pump was hooked up that automatically turns on and off and it was dug down deeper along the foundation of the home in the crawl space to catch the water and pump it out quickly. The work was done in a timely manner. Randy and his crew were always on time and professional. Randy guaranteed his work and has called me numerous times after a heavy rain to check on our house and see if we're still staying dry. There was some slight moisture on one occasion and Randy brought his crew back over to add a little more water-proofing in the corner where the moisture was found. Randy and his crew may be a little more expensive than others; but, his guarantee of 100% satisfaction on his work is worth the extra money. Some contractors are all talk; but, Randy truly holds true to his word.

Recent Review: He sent a young guy out, I guess he was training him to take over his business, or whatever, because this man was kind of elderly. He told me my well was dry. He said he did not think it was a pump thing and that he thought my well was dry. So he called his boss and his boss said to put a new pump in anyway. After I paid, like, $3,000 for it he told me that the pump he took out was still good. I wondered why they had put in a new one. Shortly after that a fuse had gone out so I called the man to ask hi a question about that and he told me the price I had paid for installing the pump included new wiring and I should no longer have a fuse box ad and it should be a breaker box, but he never offered to come out to do it right. They also put in a new water tank that was factory reset to 38 pounds of pressure. He put in the wrong kind of pressure switch with a a safety cutoff and he told he had adjusted it down. I have since found out in my research that the pressure in the tank is supposed to coordinate with the switch. I wondered why I had every time I had to go out and flip that switch that there was never any water in the tank. Last summer I started having some problems and I think I replaced the pressure switch and that made it worse. I also had a problem when they did not cut the electricity off when they worked on my pump. So the pump burned up then. I made several calls to them after they put the well in whenever I was having any problems with the well after they had come out and put the pump in. It seemed like he was very helpful and told me to send pictures like he was trying to save me money. He told me to replace a part in the pump one time when it malfunctioned.

The technician (Tom) arrived promptly at the scheduled time.  He had to locate the septic tank and dig till he located the cover.  He not only drained the tank as originally requested he cleared a tree root he found so the line would flow properly.  He went above and beyond and all for a very reasonable price.

Called Madison Drilling for service call.  The were here as scheduled and went right to work.  Found the down-hole pump was burned our and replaced it with a new one.   Last month I received a rebate check for over half of the charges.  Without my asking or knowledge they had sent the pump back to the Mfg. and they found it was faulty. Could not ask for better service or honesty.

Had BIG issues with septic laterals seeping up through ground.  Very worried we were going to have to dig new laterals and tear up the yard.  They checked out the D-box and decided the best way to handle was to pump the tank, jet the lines and added shocker.  As of today 1/3/2015 we have not had any further problems.  VERY grateful for their expertise.  Will use them from now on when tank needs pumped or any other issue  surfaces!!!

We were very pleased with all aspects of the service call.  They were very prompt and professional.  When they discovered our tank was buried 4 1/2 feet deep, they notified us that there would be an additional cost due to having to hand dig that deep, which ended up being only one additional hour ($89) of labor.  When they left you could not tell that they had been here.  They leveled the yard out and covered the area with the rock they had displaced...really impressive!

FTiff City Pump
They came out never telling me what it might cost to advise on what it would take to get the pump running. When the service guy left he said the call was no charge if they get pump running. Couple hundred bucks if they didn't. When they presented me with $8000 to fix and I declined they sent a bill for $800.
