Our house suffered hardwood floor water damage, just as we were preparing to put it on the market for sale. The whole downstairs hardwood had to be torn out and replaced. There was an additional time crunch, as my middle son is graduating high school 5/16, with my parents and in-laws arriving 5/14 and 5/15. The work was started by Landmark Construction (who will be reviewed separately) on 4/21/14. Midtown Hardwood was on standby, until the old flooring was removed and the slab was dried. On 5/1, I emailed Midtown and asked if they could have us in the house on 5/14, if the slab was done drying on 5/5. They moved hardwood into the house on 5/5, as the drying company was removing their drying equipment, and on 5/11, they put the final coat of polyurethane on the floors. I was in the house this morning, 5/12, and the floors look fantastic! Communication during the whole process was great, with both Bill and Carol keeping me up to date on various items. They didn't mind us staying in the house until the staining and polyurethane process started, and gave us plenty of updates as to when that would occur. Part of this work even took place on Mother's Day. I really can't express enough how smoothly this job went from start to finish and how much we appreciate Midtown Hardwood bending over backwards to get the job done ahead of schedule. I'll post pics of the floors when I can get some better shots. My phone is just not adequately representing how good these floors look.
