It appears there's a good deal of disarray going on at the company, because I basically got stood up. I scheduled a pool inspection for a home my family is buying and the technician doing the job was supposed to call an hour ahead of time to let me and my Realtor know he was about to head to the property. (No set time; it's a busy season for pool service companies). I called early afternoon at 1:20 p.m. to confirm we were still on the schedule; we were. Five hours later, no word from Mathews Pool & Spa. I called again, and the administrative assistant said the tech had been to the locked property and done a cursory inspection, because the power wasn't on. (And apparently, even then, didn't think to call). Hence we would need to pay for an hour of service. The power is on at the home, and there's no way the tech could get in except by jumping the fence. If they are overbooked or having system issues, the way to offer good customer service is to reschedule promptly and offer a discount. Their handling of a no-show and not calling the client as promised was terrible, and I do not recommend using them right now.
