Very satisfied with the work that was done. Dylan was very professional and made modifications that we requested without a problem. While they were doing the grading of the yard my septic tank encountered a problem. (nothing to do with the work they were performing). I asked them to look at it and he was able to dig down to the septic tanks and locate the problem. They were able to fix the issue the same day. All of this happened on a late Saturday afternoon and they stayed until the tank was functional. I cant thank them enough.

ADirty Heath's Bobcat/Excavator
Building a new out building for a wood shop. The location needed some excavation back into a hill to come up with a level area large enough for the 16'x20' footprint and 6' perimeter area for the installers. The work seem to grow as we moved back into the hill; we ended up using close to 80 railroad ties to shore up the back and sides for the site. We also decided to "bury" the power feed from an existing power pole so a change was made to the original contract. While digging the trench, came across a significant piece of "Shelby County Gold (chert!)" which posed its own challenge. Mother nature proved a bit fitful with Spring rain to really soak down the newly exposed dirt; delays were unavoidable but Heath stayed with it and we were able to get a level building site and a wire ready power conduit before the builders arrived to start construction. All of this being said, Heath did a great job on what started as a seemingly easy request but turned out to be a more complex project with multiple challenges. We are very pleased with his work, his work ethic and attention to detail. Any future grading or excavation work will definitely be pointed in Heath's direction.

ASteve Watwood Excavating
He was very nice when I called. He made an appointment and kept the appointment. He told me which day he would give me an estimate. He gave me the estimate which was 3500 for everything. I agreed to the price and He told me he would install the septic tank the next week. He actually did!! Not only that but he did what he said he would and he did a good job. This is the amazing part he did it for less than the estimate.

ASteve Watwood Excavating
Upon building our house, our builder suggested an excavator, and told us we could choose our own. To make it easier, we decided to go with the one he used each time he built a house. Mr. Watwood was with us from beginning to end, and made everything so much easier. The first day he dug our footing so the guys could get started building, he dug the garage and filled it with rock. He leveled the ground once the masonry was done. He etched out for our drive, sidewalks, and patio. Finally he put in our septic tank so that the plumbing could function properly. He is licensed and insured. When we first met Mr. Watwood, he was rather intimidating, but he is a really sweet and honest man. He was always there on the day he said he was going to be. His employees seemed to have a pretty good understanding of what they were doing, and everything was satisfactory, not to mention his prices were competitive and he was always right on the money when it came to estimating what the work was going to cost us.... I have recommended him to so many others. He even dug a pool for my parents not too long ago.

LH Excavation done a good job with the ditch and drainage pipe. During this time I discussed adding some river gravel for parking space and was given a price of $260.00 for the river gravel plus the cost of cloth, I told him to go ahead with it. After they had finished and left I realized that 2 windows(triple pane $500.00ea.) on the front of the house had been broken and one window had broken glass on top of the new river gravel. When LH Excavation came to collect the total bill was $3400.00. I protested the bill and then told him about the broken windows. He explained to me, that he was standing right by that window while his employee was cutting the grass to clear the way for the ground cloth. I explained to him that those windows were intact before he started . I tried to reason with him about the broken glass and shards of glass between the panes, he absolutely denied breaking the glass and stated it was already broken that it was an old break, he was oblivious to the fact that broken glass on top of the gravel was defining proof that it was broke only after they done the gravel. We argued back and forth to no avail. I was thoroughly discussed with his attitude. I went on to discuss the price and told him I was thinking that the total $1600.00 bid plus the extras and the river gravel about $600.00 plus the extra labor on the river gravel added about $1000.00 to the total and I would owe him $2600.00 less damages to the windows, and he went ballistic, he stated that he never quoted me a price and again we argued, I explained that the other bid I had got was $2700.00 and the only reason he got the job was because of his bid, he adamantly denied ever giving me a bid at all. I knew better than to have not got the bid in writing, he seemed like a very honest person and I trusted him. That was my mistake, I was in a contracting business and gave everyone a quote before hand. I tried to negotiate a reasonable amount by simply him asking what was fair and he paused a moment and said $3400.00. I paid him his money but I made it clear that I was not happy and the amount was not even close to fair or even reasonable.
