Recent Review: Deck Masters Construction responded promptly to our request for an estimate to remove and replace our deck. They provided helpful suggestions for enhancing the new deck and seemed very knowledgeable and professional. We contacted the references they provided and received good recommendations. When Deck Masters removed the old deck, they discovered some water damage to the house and did an excellent job of repairing that damage before building the new deck. They showed up on time, cleaned up their debris, and were very reliable. The new deck is beautiful and better than we expected. We recommend this company highly and would definitely use this company again.

Recent Review: Deckbuilders did a great job. Their responsiveness, attention to detail, work ethic (punctuality, quality of work, and respect for our property) was as promised. They got us into their schedule quickly, started and finished the work on time and cleaned up after themselves. Our new deck and pergola are beautiful and have added so much enjoyment to the time we spend outside. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a new deck.

Recent Review: This was hands down the best experience I have ever had dealing with a construction/contractor company. M&N Roofing and Construction was responsive, prompt, professional and courteous. They built a deck that was much stronger and better than for what I had asked. I am comforted to know that I now have a company I can trust to provide me a fair price for quality work.

Recent Review: The salesman was prompt and everything sounded great except for the price. I was looking to have a deck and french door installed but the price was over $10,000 more than other quotes I have received from high quality suppliers.

Recent Review: Richard was very responsive since I was under a time crunch and was able to get up in the VERY hot attic to perform this work. He also was very inventive in creating a shield in the attic to keep the insulation away from the water heater vent pipe so there would not be a fire hazard. He did quality work and was very reasonable.

Recent Review: I first contacted Roger McMunn in the fall of 2014 about removing our existing wood deck and replacing it with a covered concrete patio. While at the house to figure his initial estimate, Roger listened patiently to all of our questions and concerns and gave us good input on different size options, the placement of the patio, etc. His estimate was affordable and he also gave us different estimates for different size options we had discussed previously. The project was put on hold due to bad weather and uncertainty from my wife and I about the patio size. We didn't get in touch again until January 2015 when Roger checked in on us to see if we were still interested. I informed him we were and asked if he could give us an estimate for a larger patio size which included an extra six feet of uncovered concrete to one side. Roger gave us the final estimate which was still affordable and later sent us a Scope of Work document with all of the details of the project. I brought up a few questions/concerns regarding some of the more specific details in the proposal. Roger addressed every single one to my satisfaction and sent out a revised Scope of Work document.  Work began on February 10th, 2015. On this first day, Roger and other members of his work crew took down our old wood deck and excavated the area to prepare it for the concrete slab. This included taking down a few shrubs and later setting up the forms for the slab. The next day another crew poured the concrete. Roger was in constant contact with me to inform me what was going on and even made sure the larger trucks avoided driving into our back yard so as to minimize any damage to the grass. Later that afternoon, the concrete was taking longer than expected to set up (due to the moisture in the air), but Roger's concrete crew stayed with it (until almost 8:00 that night!) until the concrete in the slab finally got set. The next day another crew arrived to install the metal patio cover. This included taking down a section of our existing gutter and attaching the cover the existing wood fascia. On the final day (the 13th), Roger, his son, and another worker arrived to install a set of concrete steps and a handrail while the patio cover crew arrived to finish the cover installation. Roger continued to be present to address any questions/concerns I may have had. At some point, one of the trucks that drove onto our driveway had accidentally pulled a suspended cable (for our house internet connection) that hangs over our driveway. Roger's son and his work partner hung the cable back to its proper place (actually in a better spot than before) and later brought to my attention a problem with my roof which I was unaware of (a problem I confirmed with other roofers who looked at it later that month). After a week or two, during a good rain, I noticed a slight water leak forming over the center part of the patio cover. I contacted Roger about the problem and he immediately contacted the head of the patio cover crew who then called me to address the problem. His crew came out in a few days, fixed the leak, and so far we have not had any further issues. We are very happy with our new patio and look forward to using it a lot this coming summer and in the coming years. Roger McMunn is extremely professional, friendly, easy-going, and patient, and is always ready to address a customer's questions or concerns. I would highly recommend his contracting company and will certainly keep him at the top of our list for any possible future projects.

Recent Review: WE LOVE OUR NEW DECK! We expanded our previously small, dated deck into a lovely covered/screened patio. Justin and his crew were very detail-oriented and did a fantastic job, working through some awful weather conditions to complete this project. I highly recommend them and will hire them again for future home improvement projects.

They either didn't put a screws in far enough, so screws were sticking up, so 150 missing screw or sticking up.  The railings were not 45, there were just stuck them up, and they were overlapped and uneven. There was four different places where  boards that were cut in to the wrong length.  So they just cut up pieces of little boards and pieced it together.  The boards for deck, they had them instead of staggered, they had them going in one direction. They had all the high parts down, and should have been staggered.  I had a handyman come out because there was an inch and half in one place where the boards were sticking up.  When I confronted them, they said there was something wrong, which he wouldn't fix because it wasn't in the contract.  I had someone else put int he missing screws.  The rails were completely shot.  It was just a mess and nightmare. It's the shottiest work I've ever seen. I did contact them to fix this, and he originally said he would have someone come out, and they were supposed to be here at 11 on a certain day, and they said after they had already come out.  Instead of screwing in the screws farther, they took a hammer and knocked them in. You could see the round part of the hammer on wood. He called me after I contacted the BBB, and stated that since I contacted them, he would just go through them, I've never heard from him since. I paid a guy $600 plus $440 for material to put in new rails.

Contacted Room Builders to do Deck work on my home.  I was informed by the owner that he has been out of that business for the past two years.  Did give me a reference for Deck work from another Angie List Deck & Porch contractors.

.Removed and hauled away existing wood deck and stairs1 day and Replaced 8'3''x16' deck and stairs 2nd day.  Came back 3rd day and sanded hand rail and splintered area in deck and left a hex head drill bit to remove lattice skirt for access to furnace in crawl space. Also returned to replace one hand rail support board with an excessive indentured pine knot.

Guys came out on Monday and began tearing out old deck that was approximately 12 x 30. By Friday had new deck and pergola that looks great. I expected top quality, and diligence for 6000.00 and got exactly what I expected and paid for. I can highly recommend deckbuilders.
