Recent Review: The quote was about $25000. They were friendly, prompt and everything was nice.  The estimate was a little high for the value of the home.  Their work would have been fine, but it was too overpriced for the neighborhood and the house that I was doing.  They were real nice.

Recent Review: Bob McKay did a great job. He hires competent subcontractors. All phases of this major remodel were done professionally. We met with the architect, tile person, electrician, plumber and floor refinishers to go over details. Mr. McKay kept us informed every step of the way. There was never a time when work wasn't being done; there were no delays or idle time. We were and still are extremely pleased with the work done and the way Mr. McKay handled the job. The McKays are honest, dependable people who can be trusted to provide superior results.

Recent Review: I work in commercial real estate development and property management, and have worked with all types of contractors for 30 years. Carmichael was the best contractor I have ever worked with. I can't say enough good things. Their pricing was fair, they were on time, completed the work quickly, coordinated subcontractors well, had the BEST subcontractors, and kept everything as clean as possible. Brothers, Charles Carmichael (on-site supervision) and Al Carmichael (office) were a joy to work with in every way, and they wanted to make me happy, not just do a job. For example, I had a difficult wall paper border in my kitchen that two other painting contractors had looked at over the years, and wouldn't touch. I did not have the border removal in my original scope of work thinking it was just too much to try to do, would cost a fortune. and I wouldn't be happy with the result (as happened previously with a different contractor removing master bedroom border). Near the end of my job, when I mentioned it would look so much better if we could have taken the border down, Mr. Charles said "We can do that!" Even after I explained the obstacles to him, he said "We can do that!" and quoted me a very reasonable price. By then I trusted him enough to know if he said he could, he would .... and he did! He put his guys right on it, told them how it needed to be done, and I now have a beautiful kitchen with everything done just as I really wanted. The Carmichael employees and subs were always very professional. They were in and out in 3 days. Day 1 = demo and electrical, Day 2 = Granite install, Day 3 = painting, misc repairs (including the added border removal and painting entire kitchen which had not been planned on). They didn't ask for any money up front (other than I paid the granite subcontractor directly 1/2 when order placed and 1/2 when installed). They made a kitchen remodel go as smoothly as a kitchen reno could go.I am so glad I got to know these guys, because they are moving to the top of my list for commercial work. These guys did a lot of work at my mother-in-law's house that I paid for & I was very impressed with their knowledge & the care they took to ensure that we were happy & that everything was done right & by the book.  We spent just north of $15,000 & it was at or below what other qualified contractors wanted, and I just felt more comfortable with them doing the work as they had an impressive list of references including professors, judges, lawyers, insurance agents, realtors, you name it, and the owners have decades of experience & their company is a licensed home builder.  It went faster than I thought & they worked a couple of weekend days to get it done quickly.  Our work included a totally new master bath, some flooring & painting in a couple of rooms, and they totally redid our kitchen cabinets.  The guys were really nice & professional & clean.  Highly recommended!

I contacted Lisenby Construction after finding them on Angie's List. Mr. Lisenby came by to provide an estimate for a kitchen remodel. I was told I needed a detailed plan, and he could provide a name of a designer to do that. That plan could cost between $500-$1000. I had a plan (from an online virtual designer) and sent that to him by email. About a week later, after not hearing anything, I contacted him by email. I recieved a response that simply said he would work on it. Nothing after that. I hired another company for the project.

This project went very well. I sontacted them about a quote to install a John Louis wooden closet system in a bedroom that I turned into a closet. They met with me, examined the job, gave me a quote and set a date and time to do the work. They came when they said they would, did what turned out to be very complicated work requested with a very professional result. They clean up after themselves and really impressed us with thir friendleness and knowledge. We are planning a small kitchen remodel and plan on calling them again.

Quality Craft did a complete kitchen remodel for me and also remodeled a guest bath.  It included new cabinets, appliances, countertops, flooring, painting, new mouldings and doors, new bathroom fixtures, tile work, some electrical and some plumbing, plus some other minor work.  I was very happy with the results and the work ethic of the guys who did the work and they were very courteous, clean & professional.  The electrician & plumber were licensed subcontractors and were good guys to deal with.  The prices were better than anyone else who I felt comfortable with.  I could've gotten some jackleg contractors to do it for less money, but I wanted it done right by a licensed builder since that is required by state law for a job this size and somebody who had good references.  The cost of the job was over $24,000 and it was worth every penny as I have what feels like a new home now.
