These guys do great work ... period! Our home and detached garage/workshop were struck by lightning and we had a good deal of damage to our external garage and one area of the house.   The garage took the brunt of the blast with fairly good sized entry/exit holes and completely destroyed wiring.   The main structure received damage to a small section of the roof as well as some other things that were repaired by various utility/service companies. The contractors for QualityCraft Construction were onsite for evaluation the next morning and in action the day after.  When our presence was necessary, they were punctual in arrival and always professional.  One neat tid-bit:  they all endured my nosiness without complaint (I'm "that guy" who loves to look over a worker's shoulder --- how else are we going to learn right?).  I think the most important thing to us was the way the owner, Mark Marvin (and where needed the Foreman, Gerald) explained everything that was needed.  Every repair, every additional finding, every "whatever" was explained in meticulous but easy to understand detail without pretentious or condescending tones.  Honestly speaking (that's why we're here right?), some things were unexpectedly pricey but I assure you, it's a case of "you get what you pay for" and the overall price was well below estimates from licensed and bonded competitors in the region.  We've had a lot of people do work for us over the years and we've never been more satisfied than we have been/are with QualityCraft Construction, LLC. We like them so much in fact, we contracted them to perform repairs on our rental property as they concluded the lightning repairs on our main residence.  There were a litany of repairs to be done (listed above) but the most notable for the purpose of this review was the replacement of the kitchen laminate:  After the floor was laid and after we had settled up, we noticed the floor didn't go in in one piece. It appeared as though  the installer had  inadvertently torn it but patched it (almost imperceptibly).  When I called Mark to raise my concerns and apologize for not catching the error before closing, he  took the ball and said (I'm not paraphrasing here), "I'm here to protect you from things like this.  We'll take care of it."  NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!   That's good business!   The work was re-done at no extra cost to us with a higher grade laminate.  It looks great.  I will definitely use them again and will gladly recommend them to anyone...anytime.

In the bathroom they had to remove tile from all the walls. They then installed new drywall and retiled the bath inclosure. The difference in that little bathroom is amazing. Every room need attention. That is just what they got.

David Thompson is the owner. I was happy with his service. I spent $350 for the job. He came out on time. He answered my phone call. The price he quoted was the price I paid him. He was very efficient. I was really impressed. I will use his services in the future.

We called before their office opened in the morning and left a message, and they called us back about 10 minutes later. They were prompt and professional. The put a temporary patch on the roof and came back a few days later to put a permanent repair on the roof. The roof work was done quickly, and we have not had another problem. They came back a few days later and repaired the interior damage. Again, the were efficient and professional. After the paint dried, we weren’t happy with the job that was done because you could see streaks and places where the plaster had not be covered by the paint. They came back and inspected the job and agreed to send someone back to do it again. The second time looked much better. I appreciated that they were willing to do the job right, and they did not ask for any payment until we were happy with the job they did.

CSOUTHERN HOMES
Stanley was the general contractor for a major water damage repair that involved the replacement of plumbing supply lines, and complete remodel of a kitchen and bathroom along with the replacement of subflooring and flooring throughout the bath, kitchen, hallway and living room.  He estimated the work would take about a month and it took every bit of that month and a few more weeks to complete.  Communication was always excellent and we appreciated the fact the project started on time despite the fact that Stanley was dealing with a major project on his own house, which burned down the week prior to the start of our project. Stanley was crucial to working with our insurance adjustor to make sure all items were covered in the repair and as the project got underway and more damage was discovered he was able to work with us and the adjustor to make sure the additional damages also got covered.  He was very honest and very concerned with the quality of his work, however, due to the circumstances in his own personal life he was not able to supervise his crew to the extent required and that led to some major problems as listed below. We found the quality of the repair work for the subfloor repair, the tile, the flooring, and the kitchen cabinet installation and kitchen painting (involved ripping out existing wallpaper and replacement) to be excellent and would recommend Stanley and his subcontractors for any project along those lines.  The completed work looked amazing and it was a quality job all around. However, the plumbing work included in the contract did not get completed and Stanley was not on site to supervise it, nor did he double-check it afterwards to make sure it was done correctly.  We ended up with none of the original plumbing repairs made, ANOTHER major sewage leak under the house due to the fact the workers forgot to properly connect a sewage pipe, a water heater hard-wired without shut-off valves backwards in place, and finally, a drain pipe for the water heater that actually went directly into the subfloor but not out the other side.  Had we not been there to verify the work had been done correctly it is likely we would have had yet another major insurance disaster on our hands.  We did call Stanley and he sent his crew out to fix the issues - they showed up late, left to get "supplies" and never returned, came back the next day and were completely incompetent as well as stoned.  We finally had to send them away and call a professional plumber, who had everything fixed in under 2 hours. One final issue with the subcontractors involved the storage and delivery of furniture that had to be moved during the repairs.  They did not properly secure the load and as a result we lost a washer, dryer, kitchen table/chairs, and had damage to a couch and chair as they fell off the truck during delivery back to the house.  We were able to negotiate the replacement cost for these items to be deducted from the contract. The moral of the story is that you MUST write into your contract that all electrical and plumbing repairs be handled by licensed subcontractors and take care of the storage of any furniture yourself.  The carpentry work and flooring/kitchen/bath work were all excellent but his subcontractors had no idea how to do plumbing and we are lucky we caught it before we had a major catastrophe.

They worked pretty well. I was not entirely sold on the price; I think it was high. They had the job done within four or five days and the people are pretty good; so is the work. Sometimes it is a little hard to get hold of them but they are busy. My advice to others would be to do your research ahead of time. I am pretty satisfied with what they did.

Terry is very fair and trustworthy. He has done work in our home many times when we were not in town. He is the kind of guy that you can hand your house key to without worry.
