Recent Review: After getting an estimate that I was very pleased with, a date was set for the work to begin. The crew arrived early and got to work. Everything was going according to plan until I went into my kitchen and saw what they had done. I have a china cabinet against one wall and I noticed that the worker installing the trim had not bothered to move the cabinet, but instead had worked up to the cabinet and stopped, and then continued on the other side. In addition to this, they were to put the small base piece on the trim in the hallway to cover an imperfection in the floor. They did cover the imperfection, but that is the only part of the wall that they put the base piece. It looked riduculous and I couldn't believe they thought that was acceptable. Because of a needed part for the storm door which had to be ordered, they were to come back at a later date to finish. After 2 weeks had passed, I finally called to see when they were coming back. I left several messages for him and he never returned my call. I tried again a few days later and finally got in touch with him. He said that he would come that weekend to finish, however, the weekend came and went and he never showed up. I had to call him back, and he said that he was working out of town, and would come the next weekend. He finally showed up, and completed the work. I was not at all impressed with his seemingly complete lack of caring about the quality of his work. Even though his prices are quite nice, I'd rather pay more for quality work and professionalism.

ATrinity Renovations
These guys where very professional and curdious throughout the entire process. They did a free inspection on my roof where hail damage was found and i had no idea my roof even had hail damage. Then the claims adjuster from state farm came out and he agreed that our roof had storm damage and that they would pay to have it replaced.Trinity worked with state farm from start to finish and all i had to do was pay my deductable. They replaced my roof in one day and the yard was cleaner after they left than it was before the workers came. They came back the next day and replaced the gutters and the siding on the chimney. They did an excellent job and i am very pleased with all of there work. I would recomend that you contact them if your roof needs any attention because they may be able to have it replaced and it cost you very little out of pocket. Call Brandon DeShazo @ 205-422-9601

AShrader Construction
Could NOT ask for better quality work! Mr. Shrader found siding to match origional (30 yr. old) siding perfectly. Replaced existing roof with top quality metal roofing and included 'hidden damages' discovered in quoted price. Crew showed up on time every day and, except for lunch break, stayed on job all day. Painters matched color of house and trim and blended new paint into old. Can NOT tell where damage was and carport looks like it was built with the house. When job completed, crew spent a full day cleaning up debris; except for flattened grass where trailers sat for a week, no evidence of the work had taken place, except that the damages were gone! Just wish the work done by another company to replace guttering (A1 Metal Roofing & Seamless Gutters) was of the same QUALITY as work done by Dale Shrader Construction Co.! Dale Shrader does BETTER QUALITY work for less than the 'name companies' in area!

BPEMBERTON SIDING & GUTTERS
Mitchell had other job's at the same time he was working on our house and spent more time at the lake til my sister had a talk then he left our house did'nt finish the bath he left it unfinished and Jeremey Pemberton came over and finished the project. Mitchell also left all his power tools here and were taken back to there shop when Jeremey took them back to the shop because after a number of attemps to contact Mitchell we never heard from him.

AD & D Roofing
We had wind damage to our home, primarily front deck and roofing. D & D Roofing was the 3rd contractor we contacted, and they were out here the next day to give us an estimate. They worked with our insurance adjuster to negotiate a price they could agree on. I didn't have to be involved in the negotiations at that point. They started work the 3rd day with a crew of 10. They had to remove the old roofing and the debris left by the storm, which they did efficiently and quickly.  Then they reinforced the front decking and built the supporting structure for the deck roof. Then they rebuilt the deck roof and roofed the house with tin roofing. The back deck roofing had some damage from flying debris and they replaced  the tin that was damaged. They covered all fascia boards with tin to reinforce the boards and keep the squirrels out. Inside they repainted 2 ceilings and one wall that had water damage. The one wall was painted an accent color so it wouldn't clash with the rest of the walls. The contractors were here every day and it only took a little over a week for them to finish the project.. They were very efficient, hard working, dependable and a pleasure to deal with. They could probably handle any type of construction project, but the above is the extent of what I needed done. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who needs roofing and associated work.

FRent-A-Man
Set up appointment to have Mr. Coleman look at repairs needed on loosened vinyl soffett for 3:30 pm Monday, April 28, 2014. he informed me on phone that he was excited to get into Ashville area and needed the work because he had been out of work several years. He stated his church members had used him and probably were the ones that gave him such great reviews. he told me he was a one man operation that used helpers when needed. I asked him to make sure and call me if he couldn't make the appointment since storms were due sometime that evening. I never got a phone call so called him at 3:45 pm on day of appointment to find out if he was coming since the storms were not expected till late Monday evening. He gave me a very long worded excuse of his having forgotten to call me because his lawnmower had a flat and he spent all day trying to get it repaired. I informed him I was on a very tight schedule and didn't mind if he needed to reschedule but that he DID need to call and let me know there was a delay. He was very apologetic and we set another appointment for today, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 3:30 pm.   Mr. Coleman left me a message on my phone last night informing me that he started a plumbing job yesterday in the Birmingham area that would take all week and he couldn't make the appointment time. He already had a set appointment with me and discarded that appointment for another job which isn't very professional. I was willing to accept that but THEN he proceeds to explain that he doesn't need any bad reviews and he is kind of over extended with so much work to do"here's the deal"....he had two guys quit on him this week and his entire  "Clanton" office that shut down...really? A one man operation just getting back on his feet with a couple of helpers has a Clanton office?.... I can understand if for some reason he doesn't want to do the job but I don't like feeling like I was lied to. I have no clue what type of work the man does. I was willing to give him a chance. Just be forewarned, if you need dependable, professional help this may not be the man to help you.
