Recent Review: Delayed arrival due to another emergency, but actually took money off the bill voluntarily for the delay, which I appreciated. Otherwise, work was done as expected.

BINSULATION WORKS LLC
Spoke to the owner, and he was fine- Professional and gave me a good feeling about the work to be done. They had been recommended by TVA. The crew showed up to do the work, the owner was on another job. The weather stripping on one vent was coming off the next morning and I had to call them back to replace it (which they promptly did) and it has not been a problem since. They had to take an outside vent off the house to get insulation in the attic. The owner told me that they would use screws to put it back up so that it could easily be taken off again if we needed to access the attic again. Apparently they did not have a ladder because when I came home to check on the job, one of the crew was standing on my wooden ice chest to get to the cover, and when he put the vent back up, he used a hammer and nails and was hitting the actual vent, putting dents into it. I am not able to inspect anything else that they did because it is all behind walls and under the foundation, but the cursory inspection by TVA passed the work. My utility bills have been lower since this work was done.

The heat pump went out during the coldest day of the winter. I called You Pittman and they repaired the heat strip circuit the next day.

AHandyman Caudill
He did a good job. I don’t remember any problems with scheduling the appointment. The only thing that he did not love was the fact he needed to use my restroom, which I would have preferred that he had done that before he came into my residence. I have got a quote for the services that he provided. He ended up doing everything I needed and more for less than half the price I had been quoted to have the service done outside of Angie's List. When I got that quoted from someone else, it was over $300. The service that I bought was handyman service for two hours and basically anything I needed done in the house within those two hours.

BAllen's Services Inc
The experience went very well. They were expensive; however, they were professional. They did a good work. My experience with them was genuinely good. They did well with the plumbing and electrical work. It is always a different person as it is a fairly large company. It is sort of handyman kind of service. They have different people good with different things. The people that they send out were appropriate for the job. They cleaned up their mess. They are close-by. They have a pretty good reputation.

AAffordable Handyman Service
The work was done on our lake house. We live in Atlanta and it is hard to find someone we can trust. We have found people that were nice but did't know what they were doing; found people that knew what they were doing but hard to work with - No more worrying about that - this is the man! Jason is nice to work with, professional, and knows what he is doing.  Contacted Jason and then emailed him what I needed done. He looked at the house and promptley provided estimate. I had received other estimates and his was lower than the others. My comfort level with his promptness and professionalism help make my decision to use him. Jason and crew showed up to do the work when he said and they went above and beyond to get the job done and do it right. It is clear that Jason takes pride in his work and does what he can to make sure it is done right and the customer is happy. I was very pleased with the work and will definitely use Affordable Handyman Services again and would highly recommend them to others.

DDennis Tucker
In the beginning, Dennis was a true carpenter and professional tradesmen. He was amiable, he knew what he was doing and had pride in his work. I used Dennis for all my home repairs and improvements. I spent a considerable amount on his work. He had a key to my home and my workshop. Beginning in mid-May, I proposed a significant landscaping job and Dennis gladly accepted. I bought materials, rented equipment and paid Dennis by the hour. The first week, he he worked true to form. I wrote him a check for the time and materials at the end of every week. Over the next few weeks, he deteriorated mentally, repeatedly performed work incorrectly despite my instructions. He became argumentative, and began working half days and billing for full days. On a couple of instances when I pointed out something that he had not done, he told me to do it myself. In other cases he insisted that something other than what I asked for was good enough I asked several times if something was wrong, if he did not want to complete the job, what was the problem? This morning I walked the property and pointed out what was done versus what I had asked him to do (At his request, I had started writing things down making a copy and giving it to him). He became very argumentative. I told him to pack his tools, pick every thing up, give me a bill and leave. His helper started yelling, throwing around tools, and threatening me; I called the local police. The police arrived, he wrote a bill (overcharged), I paid and got my keys back. The police issued a trespass notice to his helper. I previously gave Dennis an A in all categories. It is true, all of his work up until this last effort was top notch. I can understand having a bad day or two, but this last experience wipes out all the good.
