Recent Review: They waterproofed the basement, they put the drain around the inside. They were willing to work with me and they came out and talked to me. The workers were actually like very neat and had explained stuff to me and seem to know what was going on. The guy that did the estimate down to the head of the workmen, they knew what was going on.

Heritage Painting And Remodeling
Recent Review: Excellent work as usual. Mold was discovered under our fairly large home so Heritage sprayed the mold, replaced the insulation and vapor barrier. The crawl space needed waterproofing so they dug a trench around the base of the home, painted with tar and covered with plastic to waterproof the foundation. In an area that couldn't be easily reached from outside they painted the foundation under the house with DriLock. We had a door that rain came in under because there was no awning. Heritage built an awning. In the process they had to remove, cut and replace the gutter along with a new downspout. They also painted our sunroom.

Foundation & Structural Renovations Inc
Recent Review: We had a flood from a broken storm drain above our house. I called several specialists to try to prevent a reoccurrence. Foundations and Structural Renovations was by far the most knowledgeable. Even though the city rebuilt the storm drain that will probably solve our problems, I went ahead and had FSR install their system across the back of my house before I repaired the internal damage from the flood. Work went exactly as planned and the crew was efficient, cleaning up as they went and repairing all damage to my lawn that the heavy equipment caused.

Olshan Foundation Repair
Recent Review: They were professional and did a good job. They used a new type of material in the cinder block called Crystalline. What it does is soak up moisture in the cinder block. It stops it from entering the block. I got 3 estimates and they were the most reasonably priced. I was pleased with their work. I would hire them again.

OLSHAN FOUNDATION REPAIR
Recent Review: Everyone I worked with at Olshan was very helpful, courteous, and professional. Tim Braswell who came to the house and provided the quote for the job of preventing water from entering and building up in the crawlspace. He advised me on what needed to be done and even provided information on what he would not recommend doing with explanations as to why so that I would have enough information to make a decision when comparing estimates from other competitors. I researched a lot of what he told me and soon realized he was accurate in everything he told me. I called and talked with Kathryn to set up the appointment. She was very helpful in explaining how the payments would work and detailed as to who would be arriving at my house and when to expect them.  I decided to go with the installation of a french drainage system and pump. Omar and his team arrived Friday, July 13, 2012 to begin work on cleaning out the crawlspace (removing an old heating/air unit from under the house - which other contractors had indicated could not be removed, removing old piping that was hidden under the old plastic sheet, and removed other debri/garbage that was under the house) and explained everything they would be doing. By miday day they began digging for the placement of the french drainage pipes within the crawlspace, began placing the pipes, and surrounding it with hauled in gravel. The digging and gravel placement continued over to the second day. After the drainage system was in, Omar and his team installed the pump and drilled through the concrete to install a pipe to route all water captured through the drainage system out and away from the house. They were careful to dig through the landscape in a manner where the grass could be replaced with no real visible signs that it had be disturbed. Once this was complete they placed a vapor barrier that covered the entire floor of the crawlspace. Before leaving Omar and his team made sure all of the debri from the crawlspace had been hauled away and that the work area had been completely cleaned. Omar then went over everything they did, showed me everything I would need to know about how the system works, and made sure I was satisified with the job.

Also told us we had Brown Recluse Spiders but they would get rid of them when they did the basement.  We learned from our pest control company the next day and research on the internet how hard it is to get rid of these spiders.  When we called AFS back they told not to talk to the pest control company that they would take care of it.  Our normal pest control man came out and did an inspection of the house and determined we did not have brown recluse spiders.  AFS caused us a lot of worry - no money but my Mom and I were very upset there for a few days thinking we had these spiders in our house.  I can not prove it but believe that AFS only said that to get us to go ahead and get their system.  We did not go with them.

It was generally all good. They’re very thorough, detailed, and explained the house and how things would work. They gave different options and I felt they were very efficient. I got a verbal quote the day they came and sent a written quote to me that evening. It was a very fast turnaround.

BAll Aspects Waterproofing
I decided to go with All Aspect despite initially having a few issues with communication.  The owners and Zeeker have worked with me to adjust the design of the fix based on new information, to minimize the impact on my home and to accommodate my schedule.  The work is scheduled for early February.

I travel for work so I gave them a key to my home so they could come in while I was gone to complete the job. I checked in with them a couple of times and learned the job was not done. In May I asked for my key back so I didn't have to change the locks. They responded they would drop it off Mon. or Tues. of the following week. By Fri. of that week, I asked if they were still planning on giving me my key back. Ben said he had spoken with the owner and if I could wait until the end of May, they would finish the job at no cost.  They had done a previous, big job for me in 2014 that I was happy with, so I thought I'd let them make it up and finish it. That saved me from finding someone else.  They didn't come.  I checked in with them asking if they had completed the work as they had promised and they said no but they would take care of it. I asked when, and they never answered.  Who does that? Just stops part way through a job and doesn't communicate with their customer or do what they say they are going to do. Who asks for a second chance to 'make it up' and then blows the customer off?  Obviously this company does.  It is now Aug. and I have contacted another company I also found on Angie's list who will hopefully get the job done.
