He gave a verbal estimate for a kitchen remodel that made me think he did not want the job. An estimate of $50,000 was about 3 time what I thought the job should cost.

Absolutely great job. I had no clue what I wanted. However with help from the owner Chuck Sanderson and the cabinet maker Marc, I now have a beautiful custom kitchen with granite counter tops.

FGUARDIAN HOME IMPROVEMENT ROOFING & REMODELING
We contracted with Ben Summer of Guardian Home Improvement, Roofing and Remodeling to complete a major kitchen remodel plus minor master bathroom remodeling. We requested but neglected to require cost figures in writing. We were surprised to learn that the verbal estimate he gave us was for labor and did not include the cost for supplies. He only gave verbal references. He enlisted the electrician, plumber and custom cabinet maker. Summer s crew completed the demolition and drywall repair plus minor master bath remodel. There are too many unbelievable issues ,our professionally installed marble tubskirt was installed and our contractor informed us that our tub was not properly framed for a marble tubskirt and he would not be responsible for cracks. He did not finish the trim on either side of the tub. My husband and son finally completed the job. During construction, the contractor and crew left our home open to the crawl space under our home and to the attic rather than taking steps to secure our so we used plastic to cover the holes they left exposed. During the demolition and bath remodel, I discussed with the contractor that the contracted completion date was approaching. He never stated that there would be a problem with completing on schedule. The contract we signed with Ben Summer stated that Rick King was the owner of Priority Interiors. We agreed to allow Priority Interiors to make and install our kitchen cabinets. The electrician, plumber and flooring companies came and completed the first phase of their promised tasks. The electrician and plumber were then on hold for five months because, the cabinet maker would not or could not finish our cabinets. Ben Summer did little on our behalf or keep us informed of the status of our remodel. When we became personally involved with follow-up of the cabinet maker s progress, we found out that Rick King was not the owner , we realized Ben Summer was allowing very poor quality and that he was to be paid by Priority Interiors a finders fee for our remodel. Summer said, he did not see any problem. As part of a settlement, Priority Interiors paid Summer off and entered into a contract with us directly. We enlisted a lawyer to write both a document releasing Summer as our contractor and also a contract between us and Priority Interiors. Thank goodness we were dealing directly with the electrician, plumber and flooring companies. They were great to work with and things went better in the absence of our contractor. After we were in contract with Priority Interiors, the custom cabinet maker (Rick King), introduced to us by Ben Summer, walked away from his employer without finishing our cabinets. Priority Interiors had no other custom cabinet maker. Priority Interiors agreed to use a remodeler we enlisted to finish the remodel and repair as much of the poor work as possible. We finally have our kitchen and master bath in a completed state but, the work is not and will n

ANorth Alabama Builders
North Alabama Builders was excellent but we had some family problems that caused us to delay. They were very thorough when they're going through the estimates. They were very creative in designing our kitchen because that's what we were going to do. It ended up in a place where we had some problems with our finances that we don't have to keep that money in reserve. It was a good experience.

We very much enjoyed working with them. They kind of went the extra mile. We would have considered them because we had a basic idea and they had a good vision that we enjoyed. That was nice about it. I would use them again. They were all professional and friendly. They got back to us. Some of these guys just take forever. I think the quote was fair.

All I can say that working with Dave and Margo Miller was a real pleasure. They came out to our home several times to go over exactly what we wanted, we made suggestions, they made suggestions and we came up with a plan for the new cabinets. We had some changes that we, the homeowner. made and Dave and Margo were always positive in their responses. They are there to serve the customer and they did that 100% of the time. When they took down all of the old cabinets, they didn't leave any mess of any kind behind. When they installed the new cabinets, they took their time and made sure that it was correct the first time. Bottom Line: the new cabinets are beautiful. I would recommend them highly. They are both professional and a real pleasure to work with.

A nightmare getting him to actually show up. He would message me he was coming and not show up. It started in October 2017 with deadline Jan 2018. When he did show up it was only for a few hours in the evening, he even brought a child to wire plugs. The job is still not finished. The kitchen remodel is a disaster with damage to counter tops, bent sink that is not bolted down, counter tops that are not bolted down, kick plates in pile.

I did not really get the work done. He was responsive. I just did not go with him because of the cost. The quote was good; he did a good job of coming out and examining things and he provided a good and thorough estimate. I probably might not use him again in the future.
