Recent Review: I awoke on a Friday morning following a period of heavy storms the previous day and night. I discovered I had two leaks, one in a bedroom and one in a secondary bath............ neither was serious but was enough to produce wet circles on the ceiling wallboard. After getting the run-around from another company for most of they day, about 4:00 pm I checked Angie's List and decided on One Call Roofing based on their reviews. I called their main number and it went to a recording. I left a message. Within 30 minutes Michael called back, indicating he was a Project Manager with One Call and asking how they could help. I explained what had happened and we set up an appointment for the next day (Saturday) for him to come out, look at the roof and give me an estimate. On Saturday Michael called a couple of times to let me know they were running a little behind and giving me a new time they would be there. When he arrived he had the company GM/President (Steve Stamba) with him. Michael climbed on the roof. After finishing he and Steve discussed and decided the problems were probably leaky seals on a vent pipe and the way some flashing had been installed on a raised portion of the roof that could be fixed with caulking. They said they would put together an estimate and Michael would send it to me on the way to their next appt. They were careful to take a number of pictures to show me indicating where the problems were. I had the estimate from him in email within 30 minutes from the time they left. I sent an email in reply the next morning (Sunday) accepting the estimate of $ 528 to reseal the problem flashing, place new seals on all vent pipes (5) and reseal the flashing on both chimney and HVAC exhaust. Michael sent me an email Sunday afternoon telling me they would call me on Monday to set up an appointment. On Monday morning Michael called at 8:15 am. He indicated that he and a repairman were outside and were about to go on the roof to do the repairs............. what a pleasant surprise and what great service! In sealing the problem flashing the repairman decided he needed to remove the shingles and examine the decking due to some spongy areas he discovered. He found rotted decking that should have been replaced when the roof was originally installed. They took pictures of the damage and showed them to me. To do the work Michael indicated it would normally be around $ 500 to remove the shingles, replace the decking and install new shingles, but he and Steve agreed they could do the work for $ 225 since they were there. It sounded reasonable to me and I agreed... this would be a permanent fix to the leak problem, not just resealing with caulk. Michael left to get the decking and shingles and the repairman, Britt I think his name was, began the repair They finished up around 1:00 pm. They explained all they did and cleaned up all debris. The roof looked fine. About a week later I discovered another leak in the same general area in the bathroom and called them back. Steve answered and promised they would be back within the week. True to his word the repairmen returned a day and a half later and did further repairs on nails that were positioned improperly on several shingles. Since the repair I have had no leaks after a number of strong storms that have occurred. Problems fixed. As a last note, and as a good indicator of how these guys view their customers, they have each called me at least once after the repairs to make sure I was having no problems and insure I was satisfied. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Recent Review: My daughter had her HVAC system replaced in Somerville Alabama. She reported that Joe was very courteous, prompt, and did an excellent job. We are very happy and will likely have him work on another home we own in that area.
Recent Review: Excellent job. Showed up when they said they would. The workers were all polite and went right to working. Had to remove our old air conditioners - redo everything under the house and up in the attic. Workers stayed busy - and got the job done by early afternoon. The air conditioners have worked very well for the past six months - and they have saved us about $300.00 per month this summer compare to what we were paying electricity this time last year.
Recent Review: I am pleased with everything about this company. I needed a new air conditioner system. Greg reviewed the job and provided options and suggestions. Victoria in the office was superb with coordinating all aspects of the installation. The crew of Jason, Matt and Zach were highly qualified to do the work. They were on time and very pleasant. It turned out being more complicated than originally thought and these guys went above and beyond to make it right. Plus they provided a portable air conditioner to cool the space while they worked. 1-day from start to finish. Nice work everyone!
Recent Review: They were very good, although we had lost refrigerant over the winter, they said the leak was not detectable and recommeded that we not spend a lot of money at this point to replace anything. It held up all summer with no problems.
I called AC Systems when my central air conditioner would not quit running. A repair man returned my call shortly, we agreed on a time that he would visit. He was on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, had a replacement part with him which he quickly installed and was complete within 30 minutes. I had previously used them based on a positive recommendation by a neighbor, and had the same excellent response and results.

They went beyond the call of duty...they did not get the new unit installed as originally scheduled due to a problem with the distributor...however, they kept our old unit, which was leaking freon, filled with freon, at their expense, until the new unit could be installed. They were very conscious about making sure the old air returns, duct work, etc. were going to service the new unit in an efficient manner. They were the only contractor bidding on the job who actually came in the house, measured the square footage, and inspected the air returns, etc. They also had the best warranty for the money we were spending.

The fan in our central air conditioning unit stop running. I called Aire Serv because a few months ago they had replaced the fan. They were able to make a service call the following day. They were fairly prompt, about 15 minutes late. The problem was the capacitor, which is an inexpensive part and about 10 minutes of labor. I was billed over $200. The unit is now running as expected.

Two weeks prior our downstairs central air unit died. Bunns came out that day, helped us select an appropriate model, and installed two days later (it was the weekend and the unit we selected had to be delivered from out of town). They showed up on time, worked hard through the day, were VERY professional, and did an outstanding job. This week our blower to the upstairs unit went out. Again they showed up that very day, and installed a replacement the very nest day. I've used other services in the past, and Bunns is head and shoulders above. One caveat: They are not cheap, but I would say they are not the most expensive. To me, it was worth the extra cost in exchange for the quality of service.

They have a one hour guarantee about arrival time. They promised to arrive between 630-800 PM. I received a call at 1240 AM from the "on-call" repairman saying that somehow he had not received the message about me until after midnight. They did arrive the next afternoon and said that the thermostat that they provided and serviced had a wiring problem. They replaced the thermostat, replaced a component in the fan circuit, and added freon. The unit is now functioning normally.

ADurham Service Company, Inc.
One night in August I discovered that our AC had stopped working. First thing the next morning I called the company that installed it (we have an 18 month old house) and got a message that they were out and would I please leave a message. So, I left a message. The next day I still had not heard from that company so I called and left yet another message. That afternoon I still hadn t heard from them, so after a recommendation from my daughter, I called Durhams and actually got to talk to someone. They were so nice and professional and so sorry that my AC had broke in August but could not send a repairman until the afternoon of the next day. The next afternoon the repairman showed up on time. He looked at my AC and determined that it was the compressor that had gone bad. He also found a fuse on the heater that wasn't working. He didn t have the brand of compressor that I needed with him but the next morning he showed up with a helper and the compressor I needed. He he filled and replaced the compressor, replaced the fuse and cleaned the AC. The repairmen was friendly, prompt and courteous. By that way, I still have not heard from the AC company that originally installed the air conditioner - guess they don t want my business. I will call Durhams from now on.

I thought it, the price, was okay. They're not cheap but they're good. Very good quality. Very good, well I really can't measure their responsive because they've installed two central air conditioning systems in my home. One six years ago and one with just in the last month. And on the one they installed six years ago , I've never had to call them, everything just works. Very good punctuality, very good professionalism.
