Recent Review: Southern Home Structural Repair Specialists repaired a major damage in our basement walls. The Owner/Founder, Mr. Garland Caudle was the person who attended to our needs. His knowledge, punctuality, and customer service can be overshadowed only by his competence and professionalism. This is one contractor who is a cut above all others I have dealt with over the years. His integrity is impeccable, the work of his team is top-notch, and dealing with him has been a pleasure. I highly recommend this contractor for anyone who needs foundation repair. Recent Review: My husband and I are very happy with the results of the remodeling. The experience was satisfying compared to previous ones. David's estimate for the project was quite reasonable for the extensive changes that were made and also compared to other estimates. His quality of work is first-rate.

Recent Review: Terrible, terrible experience with this builder. Would not keep his word with us, very poor workmanship, many errors that needed correcting, he quit the job without finishing the house, demanded final payment before the house was done, very threatening when confronted about issues, crooked walls, windows not square... I could go on and on. Save yourself the headache we had with him, find another builder. If you'd like to stop by and see his "handy work", look up Tabernacle Farm in Brent, AL and we'll be happy to show you the myriad of problems he left us with. Below is one picture of his work and this is in the center of our living room floor! And the front porch pillars... and tell me, do you see anything wrong with the kitchen cabinet they are trying to hang? Hint: it covers the window!

Initially I called Halo for a variety of small carpentry and painting work. As I observed their work, my trust grew enough that I extended the contract to include much more both inside and outside the house. James and crew were eager to do good work, and i came to trust them enough that I did not feel a need to go behind them and check on everything. I also learned that they were capable of doing much more than I had contracted them for, so I intend to use them in the future. Particular points of note: 1. Professional?original work and changes clarified in writing. 2. Well-behaved crew?no foul language or misbehavior. 3. Arrived at the agreed time. 4. Good communication?phone calls and emails answered promptly. 5. Cleaned-up at the end of each day and at the end of the work. 6. Can-do attitude.

A1 Alabama Property Services
When the tornadoes came through Alabama we had two trees fall through our house. Alabama property services were recommended to us by a close friend that had some work done the previous month and were very happy with the results.Jeremy the owner came out and looked over everything gave us a price that we were happy with and talked about getting started. We were in a bit of a hurry and as Jeremy promised a crew was out the next morning .We had roof damage and the ceiling and a wall inside were damaged as well. The work took a total of four days .The guys were courteous and very respectful .Jeremy took the time to explain everything each step of the way. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was left better than how they found it .There wasnt a loose nail or piece of dirt left anywhere. All together we got a new roof ,they re-framed a big part of our roof and fixed the ceiling and walls on one inside room as well as painting .All in all the work was top notch .The guys were respectful and knowledgeable and listened to our concerns and worked accordingly .Only negative I had was they were about twenty minutes late getting here one day .

I cannot say enough to express what a wonderfully professional, detailed and efficient construction company this is. Everything that I have asked for has been done to excellence. The detail in the work...such as putting up siding and beadboard so that everything matches..is phenomenal. Always working to find the best sub contractor at the best price. I am so very happy with everything that has been done so far. Other jobs are being completed.

If Dusty would have finished the job he started I probably would have given him and his workers a better rating, but he didn't. He walked on the job and left several tasks that I had paid him out for undone. All in all, I probably lost 500.00 in unfinished work that he had promised. If you need a rough (roofing-type job), but decent quality job done quickly, I'd hire Dusty. He and his crew of 10 set trusses and put a new roof on a 900 sqft building in 1.5 days. That was great. I was happy with that. I then hired him to do some interior work in the house I am remodeling, this included a host of things I just wasn't going to get to myself. This is when things went bad. Some tasks he did fine, like make a custom hand rail for a stairwell. This looked good. But he was clearly over committed with other jobs and the paint job was bad, he set towel bars and toilet roll holders in apparently random places on the wall, he glued a pivoting mirror to the wall rather than using the pivots, did not replace all the electrical plugs like he had started for the rest of the house, left a broken garbage disposal in place and the most disappointing and frustrating thing was that he wouldn't return my phone calls to handle any of these complaints or finish the work he had specified. In hindsight, I think he intentionally played me. For example, I gave him a list of items he needed to do, but I didn't have a copy myself, so at the end I couldn't absolutely verify all the items we had agreed upon. He wouldn't return the list. He "lost" it. Plus, after I paid him out he was in a bit of a rush to get the check cashed. I never heard back from after that. I had paid him a substantial amount of money for the rough jobs on the garage and patching a drive etc; and so I thought we had a fairly trustworthy relationship at that point, but at the end I felt taken advantage of and cheated. I cannot recommend him for any work because of this.

APro Maintenance And Construction
My experience with Pro Maintenance was a GREAT one! From the outset, they took their time and took us around to see their previous work. Other customers loved them and were very personable when they told me of their experience with Pro Mainenance. I was impressed with their professionalism and their personable interest in my project. They treated my situation as though if it were theirs! They dealt with our insurance company with tact and professionalism and expalined to me in great detail what to expect. They made an intimidating situation a manageable situation. They started the project letting us know when they would start, what to expect during certain stages and had an 'open door' policy to call anytime with questions or ideas. This contractor built my home with the care if it were their personal home. They were passionate with giving me ideas and input and no matter how many changes I made they were accomodating. They even made some of my ideas even better! Contracting is a hard business with all kind of hinderences and delays. But Pro Maintenance made my experience a delightful one. When there were delays, I knew Pro Maintenance was doing all they could do to make the delays short and less painful. I actually felt part of the company!! Their employees were delightful and informative. They all had great attitudes and loved what they did. It showed in every aspect of my home and what it looks like today. If I had to go through the stressfull task of rebuilding my home again I will definitely have Pro Maintenance on my side!!!
