Recent Review: We were home as we are both disabled, so it all took a little longer than usual, but he didn't disturb our normal routine. He was exceptionally nice the entire time. My wife and I are very pleased with everything he did and will not hesitate to call him again. Actually we've discussed our future plans with Mr. Dawson.

Recent Review: Gary had good equipment, covered everything with drop cloths, and left no mess. His painting was neat and you cannot tell where the repaired drywall holes were. We purchased the paint in advance. He came on time and worked fast with no down time. Did not smoke. We had a higher estimate and a lower estimate, but chose Gary because of his Angie's List feedback. He quoted a price of $250 a day and said ours was likely a two day job. He came in under his own estimate. We had a two-week wait because he had other jobs on his calendar. I will call him again when we need more painting.

Recent Review: Ron and his partner, CJ, are very prompt and professional. They are not only courteous and very pleasant, but are also very tidy and respectful of the client's home. Their work is excellent, and very detail oriented. Getting the crown molding around the closet to tie in with the existing crown in the room without having to tear out the existing molding was tedious and time consuming, but they kept tweaking their cuts by hand with a coping saw until it looked seamless. I have used Punch List Repairs in the past before this job, and will continue to call them for future work. Their prices are fair, they are timely in responding to my calls, they complete their work quickly and efficiently, and they clean up thoroughly after themselves at the end of every day, and again at the end of the job. I highly recommend them.

Recent Review: If you need repairs like this in your home, this is the man to call. He returned my call the same day, came out the next morning for an estimate and was very punctual each day. He was very professional and neatly dressed as well. When he did the estimate, I asked about my daughter's fish tank. He said he used a sander with a vacuum so there would not be too much dust for them, but he laid down drop cloths over everything, including her bed and her tank. I was utterly amazed after he was done the first day, by him asking if he could use my vacuum cleaner! He had cleaned up already with his wet/dry vac, but after he picked up the drop cloths, he vacuumed her carpet! Not just that day, but each time! I have never had anyone do that before when working in my home. He quoted a price of $130, and at the end of the job, I felt he had done such excellent work, that I asked him if had taken him longer than he thought it might, and he said "No, the price we agreed on is fine. Just tell your friends." So I am here to do so. He also asked if wanted some of the mud so if it needed a little touch up, I could do it. He put some into a baggie, and gave me one of his sanding blocks, in case it needed it. His card reads "Commercial and Residential Improvement" so I am not sure what other services he offers, but if I need any other work done in my home, he is going to be my first call. As a side note, the workers doing my AC install said that anyone I called for that repair was probably going to be $500 at least, and they offered to do it "on the side". I was quite pleased that it was not any where near that price, of course.

AMIKE SHIRLEY CONSTRUCTION
They were exquisite. They did the job and it was just perfect. They have done a wonderful job. I used to be in the same business myself and I can be very critical of what somebody does construction work but they did a credible job.

AANDY OnCall Birmingham
I contacted them recently to do some additional work for me and at my mother's house because I am getting ready to sell it. I had three good experiences and one bad experience. When I had the bad experience they would not take my check. They sent it back to me, which I thought was pretty fair. I learned that companies that do a lot of things are really good at some things and not so good at other things. The electrical work was beyond the scope of the person they sent out. That was the experience that I was unhappy with. They did a really good job on the plumbing work and the drywall. They also did a really good job on the posts. They are expensive.

AEstes Painting
We purchased a bit of a fixer upper, and Mike at Estes Painting came right out and gave us an estimate, was very flexible in scheduling around our other ongoing home improvements and also worked with our tight moving schedule. Their guys came out and went right to work, worked extremely quickly, but professionally, and did a quality job. They stayed on the job until it was completed, even when there were delays caused by other contractor's delays, and they came back and finished the work in a timely fashion. They were not the lowest cost of all our estimates, but you get what you pay for, and Estes Painting did a quality job, on time and with no headaches, which is hard to find these days, and is worth the additional cost. I would definitely use them again.
