Recent Review: I am very pleased with the window. Everyone was very professional. The representative came out on time to display choices of windows that I could choose from. He advised me of an estimated time frame in which the window would be made by the factory.  They did lead based testing of the paint (something I had no idea was necessary but found out how important it was). The crew came out and installed the window in less time than I expected. They cleaned up inside and outside of my home. The window is beautiful and I'm planning on having them put in three more slider windows in the near future.

Recent Review: Blair Remodeling replaced 26 of my old wooden double hung windows with Wincore vinyl windows. I first met with Craig Blair on April. He gave me a quote that same day. He was very patient and was definitely not in a hurry to leave, even though it was late in the day. He answered all of my questions. After I thought about it for a while he came back another afternoon to answer more questions and show the demo window unit to my wife. Again, very patient and in no hurry to be anywhere. Made down payment in April. He said they would install in early June. That is exactly what happened. The install took only three days. They started on a Wednesday and finished on a Friday. The install crew consisted of three guys. They were extremely polite and cleaned up their mess each day. There was only one major issue. There were streaks and smudges on every window. It looked like some kind of sealant that was not cleaned off during the manufacturing process. I met with the lead installer on Friday morning and pointed this out to him and asked that he clean the windows. He was very condescending and obviously did not want to clean the windows. He said he would but I knew he would not. I went back to work (my wife was home but said she would not enforce the window cleaning) The project was finished when I got home Friday afternoon. The windows looked great but . . . You guessed it. There were still streaks and smudges on all the windows. Not wanting to be a pain, I tried cleaning the windows myself. The sealant was very difficult to remove. It would not come off with glass cleaner alone. I decided this should definitely be Blair’s responsibility. I asked for a meeting with Criag Blair. We met the following week. He was very polite and patient. He agreed to have the windows cleaned and address a few other minor issues. It took a while, and to be fair, I was out of town for a week but we finally coordinated on having the windows cleaned. The crew that did the installation came back out. They came while I was at work. My wife was home but declined to be the inspector. They finished cleaning about 3 PM. They waited for me to get home at 4:30. We walked around and inspected all 26 windows. There were a few touch ups but for the most part they did a good job. In summary, I was very pleased and satisfied with the entire process. I will definitely use Blair Remodeling in for any future projects. Craig Blair is the best. I totally trust him and I know that he will do whatever is necessary to make sure I am satisfied. Hopefully, Blair will add cleaning the windows to their standard installation procedure.

Frank was my salesman. He did a good job and the windows fit and look great.  I had called Durante and 3 other vendors and Durante (Frank) was the first (and only) provider to get back with me. Frank did a great job analyzing the situation and recommending the proper solution. Although the process took a bit longer than I had hoped, the final job was great. The windows are manufactured at an out of state plant also owned by Durante, which made me feel comfortable should the measurements be incorrect (which they weren't). There aren't many other comnpanies that I could find that do replecement storm windows - and this was the only company that was interested enough to respond.  I'd use them again!

AANDY OnCall Birmingham
The deck on my house had not been adequately flashed during installation, which allowed water to pool on the deck and rot  the adjacent siding and one of the headers under my bay window.  Gordon Larson came to my house and estimated the work. He was very thorough and accurately assessed the damage and the repairs needed. Gordon and one other worker came to my house when they were scheduled to and did a great job on the repair work. I had Gordon estimate a future project, and i would definitely contract Andy OnCall again.

The owner of Punch List Repairs Ronald Hydler came out to my house to quote repair work to my house. The work consisted of repairing water damage to my house due to inadequate flashing on my deck. Mr. Hydler mentioned several times to me that he underestmated the distance from his location to my residence, and mentioned that any quote would have to reflect driving time. While I understand this, I did not feel that Mr. Hydler accurately accessed the work to be performed. I say this because I didn't get the feeling that he looked over the project adequately before leaving to work up the quote. I feel, and this is only my opinion, that he was not interested in the work based on the distance that he had to travel. That is fine, and i would have understood a no-quote based on that. The quote that I got back was $900 more than the next contractor, and the breakdown of the work was not as detailed either. I cannot comment on the quality of the work that Punch-List Repairs performs, as I did not have them provide any services for me. I did use the next contractor and was very satisfied with the price and the work performed.

Took quite a while to have the windows manufactured, but then they quickly installed them. Small leak continued and Durante was quite fast to follow up. It turned out that the leak was not connected to the windows but rather to a roof tile. Durante came out and adjusted the tiles to halt the leak while I contracted with a roofer to finalize the fix.  I would definitely deal with this company again.

We had several quotes from different companies around the city. Blair's quote was the most reasonable for the work. The workers were well-mannered and cleaned up daily behind their work. We will be using them again to finish replacing the siding on the remainder of the house.

CWINDOW WORLD OF CENTRAL ALABAMA
In June of 2009,they replaced a storm door and all the windows in my house. The sale and installation went well.  The follow-up has been very poor.  A couple of the screens seem to be rotted developing small holes in them. I called about it.  Never could get a response.  Now one of the bay windows has gotten air in it and needs replaced.  I called the in August(2013)and after 5 or 6 more calls, I'm still waiting for the replacement.  They are pleasant each time I talk to them, but there seems to be little follow-thru.

Installers very professional..worked quickly, smoothly, cleaned up perfectly.  JJ stayed in constant contact from the time they measured, through the quote, ordering, delivery and installation completed.   Followed up a day afterwards to make sure all was still Ok ...  Highly recommend.
