Business Description: VILD brings years upon years of design experience to the forefront. From a touch of class in one room, to the sophisticated party in another, to the chic pool party outside, we design more than just layouts. We paint a canvas that clients spend their lives in. We've designed everything from rooms, to apartments, to townhome's, to large homes. Everything from the simple living room or outside deck, to the wine cellar or home theater. Vast resources at arm's length, VILD combines creativity and time with the people to get the job done! Although our home office resides in Northern NJ, we cater to 14 different states including NY, FL, CA, TX , NC, AZ, SC, RI, NV, PA, CT, TN, WA. This is why we’re different…. 1. They, (the design industry) charge by the hour. Leading you to wonder what your paying for and how much. We, charge a fixed price depending on your needs. 2. They, take the designs you discuss and work only within that model, focusing the energy on only that one design. We, offer up to 3 completely unique designs based on your style. 3. They, charge you full price for the furniture and decor you choose, but make a commission on the top due to an industry “trade discount” they have with that store. We, give you OUR discount that we personally get, anywhere from 15-25% with the stores you love, thus saving you more money.

Recent Review: If you have need of a structural retaining wall (greater than 4 ft high), this review is for you. When I purchased my home 17 years ago, it had a railroad tie retaining wall holding up one side of my front yard. I knew it was something that would eventually have to be replaced. It was a neighborhood eyesore, and over the years began to bow out. For the past 8 years I have been reading up on wall design, and examining any walls under construction that I came across. I had gotten several estimates on the work a few years ago, and was shocked at the bids I received. I interviewed each of the contractors I considered, and looked at examples of their work, but was unable to get the work done due to the cost. This year I was better prepared financially, and decided to try again. I began by looking at blocks at Across the Pond, who referred me to Adam Ragland, of Ragland Topsoil and Landscaping. Adam gave me a photo book of the walls he had done previously, and took me on a lengthy tour of walls he built in the Huntsville area. I was VERY impressed. Adam's work was far more advanced than the previous contractors I had considered, and his construction technique fell right in line with the techniques I had studied and observed over the years. His bid, fell in the range of the previous bids I had received, but I was far more confident in his ability to execute the job. This wall, at 8 feet max height, required (by City of Huntsville) a civil engineer to be engaged to develop the plan and monitor the construction. Adam referred me to Bill Kennard of GEO Solutions. Bill submitted a set of engineering plans, which again met my expectations in terms of the design based on my years of research on the subject. I submitted my bulding permit request to the City of Huntsville and upon receipt of my permit, the work began. Adam Ragland does not work multiple jobs simultaneously. He brings his crew to your jobsite and they work YOUR job until they are done. Adam leads the work and is present from start to finish. This was very important to me, as it was on the basis of HIS skill that I made my decision to award the contract to his company. Another point that bears saying. Although he does not advertise this, Adam and his workers are Christian men, and conduct themselves accordingly. No profanity, no drinking, etc., and always respecful to my wife, daughter, and myself. A group of hard working men who have worked together for years and know how to do the job. They show up on time and work hard. Adam and his crew began by tearing down the old wall in a controlled manner. They then constructed the new wall in accordance with the plans provided by GEO Solutions, however, it was obvious that Adam knew how the wall was to be built based on his previous experience. The entire job including teardown and construction took 6 days, and was inspected by GEO Solutions during the construction process. The blocks used were provided by Huntsville Hardscapes, which is now a subsidiary of Across the Pond, where I originally began my inquires. These were 60 lb blocks, which are filled with gravel and tied back into the gravel backfill using a geogrid. This technique results in an integrated wall and backfill which is stable and solid. If you observed any of the overpass construction on the Parkway at Weatherly and Whitesburg a year or so ago, a similar technique was used. The overall contact for my job included resodding my front yard and the area at the base of the wall. Adam delivered a truckload of beautiful topsoil, but installation of the sod was delayed due to rain and inability to cut the sod at the sod farm. I have taken advantage of the delay by installing a sprinkler system in my front yard myself, something I have done before. I am looking forward to getting the sod down and finishing this project. So if you are in need of a retaining wall contractor for an engineered wall ( or landscaping for that matter), I heartily recommend Ragland Topsoil and Landscaping and also give a hearty THANK YOU to Trevor at Across the Pond for referring me to Adam Ragland.

Recent Review: We use Valley Pool for all our Pool problems. We had problems with our liner earlier this year. It got flooded and ripped off on the site. They came out the day I called them, gave me an estimate ($600) and repaired it a couple days later. They also went the extra mile and cleaned out all of the dirt and scrubbed the sites and the stairs. They did a great jobAnd then our Pool motor broke a couple days ago. I called the office, the lady told me right away how much the motor and the pipes cost and their service charge. They came out just two days later and fixed it. What I really like about them, that they are really friendly and that they clean up after they are done! I will always use them, no question!

Reviews in Belle Mina to Install Ponds

ALIVING ART WATER GARDENS INC.
We had Jake fill in an in-ground pool and installed a pond in a corner of the pool area. He handled everything from equipment rental, materials and cleanup. He even laid sod over the pool area. Three months later, you can't even tell we ever had a pool. Now we have a pond we can enjoy year round instead of a pool that is only used 3 months out of the year.

AAnders Pool Company
Everything was done expertly and efficiently. Anders removed the old liner, repaired flaws in the basin, measured twice and ordered the liner we selected (Tara). While the water was out, I had the steps repaired and reenforced by Stan Smith of Cullman. When the pool liner came in, they installed it professionally and I have yet to find a single wrinkle. While I was refilling the pool, a different Anders guy came out, installed the salt system and explained to me how to use it. Everything worked the first time and continues to work perfectly. The pool is beautiful and feels great to swim in. We are extremely pleased..

They have been installing some stuff for me since October of last year. They know what they are doing. It is a small family one. They came recommended to me by another friend. They are awesome. They don't play games. They give you hones quotes. They tell you upfront if they encounter some doubts. They tell if there is a possibility that they will encounter something else.

ALIVING ART WATER GARDENS INC.
We are proud to say, we have had the pleasure of dealing with Living Art Water Gardens for the past 15 years. Their professionalism, customer service and visionary designs are remarkable! Unfortunately, 16 years ago Living Art Water Gardens was not available and we went with another company to design and install some water features in an unusable and ugly portion of our yard. The best decision we made, over 15 years ago, was to call the team at Living Art Water Gardens. Over the years, they have worked to correct all the problems we were having; just a few of these problems were the uncontrollable water leaks (causing high water bills), lighting problems, and the ponds always looking dirty. We are happy to say that with their help we have finally turned that unsightly ugly grassy area between us and our neighbor into a beautiful water feature and gardens that we are proud to call our “Water Park”. It takes up about ¼ of our property, efficiently moving about 2500 gph and is a clean year round home to several large Koi and Goldfish. We can enjoyed it from several different angles: the first and second story decks, inside our home, the little covered porch down in the gardens or just walking around the different features. Our friends and family, from the smallest children to the oldest adults, loves to come over and safely enjoy the Water Park year round. Unlike some ponds we have seen, our Water Park comes alive once the sun goes down, the colored lights in the bubbling boulders and the lights inside the ponds are beautiful. Like us, our neighbors love the sights and sounds of the water. Every year we have the team from Living Art Water Gardens come to do a “cleanout” of the Water Park. This includes removal of all the leaves and other debris (that comes with Alabama fall and winter), trimming up the water plants, and keeping the fish healthy and happy. We are very picky and do not want to see any liner or lighting wires – we like the natural/been here forever look. The pride they take in their work and keeping their customers happy shows! Before all the repairs and redesign that Mr Jake Bright (Owner/Designer) made, the cleanout process took a full three days. Now this is an efficient one day process. Just the other night, we had a gathering of friends and family and no one wanted to go inside – we all stayed outside to enjoying the sights and sounds of Water Park until late in the evening. We have proudly recommended Living Art Water Gardens to several family and friends for their landscape needs and none have been disappointed!! If anyone is looking at an uninspired backyard that they would like to turn it into a beautiful “Park” like setting, please giving Living Art Water Gardens a call and let their landscape design visions work for you.

I asked for a quote and was given a price which included all labor and materials.  Our pool was measured and I was promised that there would be no surprises or add on costs after the job was done.  A date was agreed upon in advance due to their heavy work load at the time. John and his crew showed up on time and got right to work on the exact date they said they would begin.  They had the old liner out of the pool and the new liner installed very quickly and when they were done, the only thing that indicated they had been there was the new liner.  We filled the pool and we have been swimming in it since.  They did a spectacular job and I would call them again in a heart beat.  Very professional and very capable.   The job was costly, but hey, it's a pool liner.  What do you expect?

AValley Pools
Ronnie the owner was prompt for our meeting to discuss putting in a pool.  We signed a contract that day.  That was prior to the 4th of July.  We planned on starting the pool after the 4th but rain and the fact that our money did not come in as expected moved our start date to August.  I have to admit progress was very slow due to the weather.  The quality of work was excellent. We had to have our septic lines moved and a pump put in that delayed the process further but we knew that ahead of time.  Once they dug the hole for the pool it did seem liked it took awhile for the next steps. As September approached I did call or text a lot to see what the next step was and I hated to be a pain but I am sure the rain got them behind and I was getting impatient.  Ronnie always came out when we called or returned our calls.  Not everyone was as prompt.  We learned to call Ronnie.  Overall everyone was very friendly and we are very pleased with our pool.

AAnders Pool Company
The pool liner that I wanted was on backorder and was explained upfront during the estimate. I got three different estimates from other pool companies. I chose Anders due to their knowledge and professionalism. Their estimate was comparable to the other two estimates I received. Once the liner was in, I received a call to schedule my installation. I was explained that my appoinment may change based upon the weather. The day prior Anders came out and placed a pump into the pool and drained the rest of the water. They returned the next day and installed the liner. During the installation, they discovered that my pool light was very rusty and called me to see if I wanted it replaced after providing me with an amended estimate. After installation, I had one small issue where part of the liner pulled away from the track on the coping. I called Anders and they send someone back out and had it back in place prior to me coming home from work. I would use Anders Pool again.

AProfessional Pools & Care LLC
We have had Professional Pools help us in getting our pool up and running since we bought our home last summer. It was in very bad disrepair when we purchased the home. It took a new liner, concrete repair and step repair last year to get it up and running. We were very happy with the work Professional Pools did for us. When they opened our pool for this summer, our pump was acting up so it took some work to get it going. Our pool looks great and we are very happy with Professional Pools. We thought the price to open our pool and get the pump running was very reasonable considering the time spent.
