Recent Review: S & S Appliance Service Company repaired our oven on the first visit. The oven has also kept the temperature since they fixed it. The repair man explained everything very well before he started any work and was done in about an hour.

Recent Review: There were no troubles with scheduling. They initially came over to diagnose the problem and ordered the part. They came back, installed the part, and the oven works fine. My experience with them was very good!

Recent Review: I wrote a check for the part and labor. After not hearing from them for a week, I had to call them multiple times to finally be able to reach them. Finally when I did reach them, they didn't have my part yet, and when they did it wasn't the right part. I then had to wait multiple more weeks when the part should've been in, and the responsiveness was still very poor. All of this went on for over a month with my stove not being repaired. In the meantime my oven went out and I replaced the unit.

I had an old gas wall oven needing repair.  The service call is $79.00. He determined the oven needed a new circuit board, then said he would order one and come back. He returned a few days later, and spent several hours only to tell me it couldn't be wired. Then he replaced my old one, but badly, so it didn't even show the clock any more. He said he would come back again when he got word on how to wire it from GE. Returns again, another week or so, spends a couple of hours and STILL can't get it right. These things happen, and I wouldn't hold it against them, except when he left, he left my house with the circuits to the kitchen OFF. I can't make toast, my cook-top has to be lit with a lighter (I already don't have an oven) and I can't even make my morning coffee.  The refrigerator was left  plugged into the DINING ROOM. THEY are out 3 calls for $79, and I paid almost 80 bucks for someone to come out, waste my time, and SCREW UP MY HOUSE worse than it was before. This is why they get an F in professionalism. I expect the house to be in the same shape it was when you arrived, and if you can't fix something I just want to be told that and get on with my life! If you can't figure out a breaker box, then don't work with electrical appliances, imo.

I spent almost $3,000 on appliances from Sears.  One product being a Kenmore Over the Range Microwave oven.  After only two months, it quit heating.  I called in for service and was told it was going to be approximately 3 weeks before they would be out to repair it.  On June 5th, the day they were to be there, they called at 3:00 pm to say they would not be able to make it that day and it would then be June 13th before they came back out.  A technician showed up on June 13th to repair the microwave.  He was not very personable at all. I only hope they don't send him back out.  He took the microwave down and replaced a few parts, (which they had mailed out previously by the way and didn't even tell me to expect).  He kept troubleshooting and then got another part from his van and found that it was not "compatible".  He gave me a receipt and then said the next date a technician would be out would be June 25th!!  That will now be approximately 6 weeks or better without my new microwave!!  The technician also told me it was taking so long because I live so far out.  But then I guess he realized what he said and just said they were booked out two weeks in general.  So make sure you live in town is all I can say. I have made several calls to their customer service number without anyone being able to help me.  When I told them I would not be purchasing another Sears product, I was told, "Well I'm sorry you feel that way, is there anything else I can help you with?".  I have called the Sears store that I purchased the microwave from and was told that they could not offer me a new microwave because Corporate would not allow them to do so.  Basically told me there was nothing they could do to help me.  The store owner was very nice and said he would send an email but basically said he was very sorry and that was all he could do.  I still have a furnace and an A/C unit that I need to purchase, but Sears will not get that business.  Even telling everyone this, they still didn't care. I understand that this is just a microwave and not a refrigerator or such, but really, six weeks!! I will NEVER do business with Sears again!! Update  06-16-2014:  The Sears store owner contacted me and received approval from Corporate to replace my microwave with a new unit.  He did not have the color in stock so it had to be ordered.  We will still get the new microwave way sooner than when the next service call was scheduled.  The owner was awesome to work with and was very nice.  Still not happy with the actual service request though.
