Recent Review: Started out well. Crew did good job sanding and prepping deck. Finish job wasn't the quality i expected, and they immediately sent another crew to re do the finish on deck. Final product was very good. Took longer than i thought it would, but overall, good job.

Fullmers Painting
Recent Review: Excellent Job! These Fullmer guys and crew are affordable, quick and do A+ work AND Jerry Fullmer promptly returned every single phone call I made to him. It first started the morning of the day they started. We all agreed to be at the rental house at 9:30 a.m. Jerry called at 9:20 and said they were there. I told them to go ahead and start. When I arrived 10 minutes later at 9:30, they had already removed all the old carpet from the house and were ready to begin painting. They are painters but I had a vacant rental that I wanted A LOT of work completed because much easier to do when a house is vacant. So, I arrive at 9:30 a.m. there were two guys there, the owner Jerry and another worker. A few hours later I returned after doing errands and there was a crew of I can't count that high (I'm exaggerating but still point taken) on every area of my house. I had the inside and outside painted, my decks and both sides of my high wooden fence washed and stained, patch work repaired from previous tenants and they removed my carpet and put a stain odor killer on the floor prepped for the carpet layers and they patched and painted a bang up in my garage door. So, these guys did all of this in a few days and they did everything I asked and more! If they saw a needed touch up I didn't mention, they repaired and painted it all for the quoted price. A few days later I was there getting ready for the carpet layers and I thought I saw a missed area in the bathroom and when I called his crew was there 'Johnny On The Spot' to make whatever I thought was wrong was made right. This company was easy to work with, and answered every phone call and, or text promptly. They were so down to earth yet so professional! If you ever want to see their work or have any further questions, please feel free to call Dianna at 907-250-9687. I will hire this company again!!!!!!!!

Due North Restoration
Business Description: Due North Restoration is an Alaska family owned and operated contracting company. We pride ourselves in delivering the very highest quality building standards to our clients. While many contractors in the state look to take shortcuts that increase their profit while leaving the homeowner stuck with sub-par work, we focus on just the opposite, exceeding your goals no matter how big or small your project might be. All of our work is to code, we are fully licensed and bonded, and unlike many other contractors, we don't farm the work out to separate companies, we do all the work ourselves.

RESTORATION PAINTING & HOME IMPROVEMENT, INC
Recent Review: Our nearly 20 year old back deck was tilting from possible frost heave through the years, and railings were coming loose. We needed it replaced. We received an estimate from Steve Thomas in the fall 2012, but weather prevented further work. We called in the spring 2013, and we were flexible for a start date, given weather and other jobs his crew had. The deck is about 10x20 elevated about 7 feet above ground in the back of our house. The construction work lasted one week. Demolition was done quickly and very professionally the first day. All old wood, etc. was removed and the area policed at the end of the day. Upon demolition, several rotten side boards were found that we agreed should be replaced. Construction lasted through the week. The construction was very well done, with screws, rather than nails, waterproofing boards connected to the house, sufficient lumber where needed. I was extremely pleased with the crew: Carlos, who took the old deck down and was the lead on construction; and Jeremy, who worked on the construction. Both are very professional, conscientious, and first rate at their work. I was very pleased to have them. Steve Thomas brought materials, checked with me and the crew during the day concerning any questions, and removed the demolished pieces. Deck staining took place about a week later, after the new lumber dried a bit. The deck looks so much better than I expected, and much more than the previous deck when it was newer.

DDue North Restoration
To sum up the experience, this guy can BS a bird out of a tree, but is inexperienced, extremely unprofessional, and has no time management skills.  He starts to do things right, so clearly knows what should be done, but doesn't follow through.  The original timeline was two weeks.  The project took 8 weeks to complete.  Before work started, I told him that no matter what, don't damage the well.  He promptly damaged the well, then gave me an estimate of $4,000 to fix it.  I paid because I didn't have time to do anything else, but we still didn't have good water for two weeks, there is still gravel in my water system and he never followed through with the promised filter system.  The waterproofing and insulation was done right, but the drain tile doesn't work, the backfill was not compacted (and has now sunk over 2 feet in places) and the patio is un-useable (much of that settling has occured under the patio).  The parts of the job that were done right were done as I literally stood over him...left unsupervised he cut every corner he could. The primary purpose of this job was to stop the water from leaking into the basement.  Water still leaks into the basement.  He told me numorous times during the project that he garenteed his work.  As soon as water started leaking, I called him and he would never even return my calls. I paid this guy a lot of money and I regret every penny of it.  I will have to re-excavate the basement and do it right.
