Reviews in Palmer for Roof Leak Repair

ARoof Leak Services LLC
The yellow page "big ads" could not schedule a time to give an estimate to meet our needs. Luke Short (owner) of Roof Leak Services returned my voice message and came by the next day and provided an estimate for my repair. Luke called the day of the scheduled repair to see if they could come earlier than the appointment. They removed the existing wind damaged shingles. Replaced the missing and damaged shingles with new 50 year Malarkey Legacy shingles. They hard sealed new and loose shingles down with plastic cement. They also refastened the base metal over the garage (not part of original work). They cleaned and removed all debris and hauled away from our residence. They provided a one (1) year warranty on the work they provided. This description was taken from the invoice provided when the job was completed. Luke and his crew were prompt and effecient finishing the job in less than 2 hours. He provided recommendations for our roof. We intend to use RLS for any roofing needs of this type. Very personable. Recommend highly.

He was quick, affordable, professional, informative, and polite. A leaked appeared in my bedroom that morning and I was frantic to find someone to check it out before I left on vacation that evening. Gene was great. He was able to come out and inspect the roof and damage within 2 hours of my phone call. He quoted me $350 for the repair, but did give me more information on my roof, how leaks happen, and that replacing it would be a better solution. For a total replacement, it would cost $6500 and they offer payment plans. Although I have not decided on replacing the roof just yet, I would definitely consider them for the job.

I called Earhart roofing to find and repair a leak in my roof.  I was told that $300 would get me 2 guys on my roof working for an hour.  The workers came and were curteous but they were in a hurry.  They were at my house for about 20 minutes total.  They said they found a small hole in the caulking around my chimney and recaulked that area and said that it should be okay, they also advised that my roof was in great shape.  They didn't come into my house afterwards to check to see if the leak had stopped  which surprised me, again they were in a hurry.  At the next big rain the leak reappeared at the exact same spot.  I called Earhart roofing to see if they would come to re-check their work.  I was told that I would have to pay $300 again.  I could understand this if they had given a good effort the first time around but they did not.  Earhart roofing does not stand behind their work and they seem more interested in moving on to the next job and next dollar than in doing a good job for their customers.

George showed up the same day I called. I appreciated that he didn't try to sell me a whole new roof. He showed me the things that needed fixing, offered a reasonable price and had a crew here a couple of days later.

I heard about Signature Roofing as well as a few others through Angie's List. I tried contacting the others first as I recognized a few of their business names, but when I spoke with them I was told they were too busy to come look at it, or they just wanted to sell me a new roof instead of making repairs. Chris came over and looked at the situation and came up with a plan to replace the missing shingles and patch the small holes where the Dish Network satellite dish had previously been mounted. That happened last summer. This winter I had an issue and thought I had a hole in my fireplace chase - Chris came out, climbed up and found that I actually had some ice damming near the direct vent. He told me how he could come out and repair it, or gave me enough information to do it myself, which I did and haven't had a problem since then. I would highly recommend Chris and Signature Roofing to anyone without hesitating - his work ethic, communication and quality control are all excellent.

They were fantastic. They were decent and clean. They did very good work. They were above and beyond what we called for and they did few extras for me.

The roof leaked last year (Sep 2012).  The property manager was contacted.  The roof was supposed to be new as part of a remodel job.  The roof leaked again (Sep 2013 rainy season) and damaged a bedroom, destroying a bed.  T&M Roofing was contacted to replaced the roof.  They were not punctual and the job was started and continued with many stops and starts.  The rotted eaves have still not been replaced but the issue is with the property manager.  T&M performed the work they did get completed very well with a high degree of professionalism.  They used a new design and latest materials.  The work was done by a crew with a high degree of knowledge and skills.  They were polite and attentive to tenants.  I'd hire them.

The insurance paid for it. They were very punctual and got the work done. They were very upfront and honest about the work they did. We would definitely use them again.

ARain Proof Roofing
I don't know how much it cost. We had them come out with another company that did the insulation. Rain Proof actually didn't charge us anything because they had done the roof a couple of years before that. When we have had problems, they have always come out and corrected them and most of the times they haven't charged us.

Contrary to other roofing contractors, Earhart picked up the phone every time I called. I explained that I had a roof leak every time t rained and was windy. We had a small window of opportunity to inspect and repair the roof since the Chinook winds had just melted all the snow. They came early the next day as scheduled and fixed the problem in less than 20 minutes. All that was needed was to replace the caulking on windows in the roof and around the chimney. I'm happy that it was a cheap fix. A previous contractor had suggested I needed to replace the entire roof!

Recent Review: They installed a brand new metal roof. After they completed 80% of the roof, it snowed. When the snow melted, it leaked in at least forty to fifty different places. I had already paid them $50,000 for the work. I had other engineers look into our roof and they said it was not installed properly. They told us this was the worst roofing job that they have ever witnessed. He put down the roof with 16-P nails. There were over three hundred holes in the membrane. I then hired a professional sheet metal specialist to repair the roof. There was so much damage that it took him three and a half months to repair the roof. It cost us $142,000 for the repairs. About $11,000 worth of the previous seamless metal roof was damaged and had to be replaced. My attorney told us that he even hired the same company to install their roof and he still has leaks as well. The initial roofer did not have the proper experience or knowledge to work on roofing projects. He said he didn't know why the roof leaked and that he didn't know how to fix it. It was impossible to have the Ingall's Co to rebuild the roof becuase he did not have the knowledge about flashing and proper installation.
