Recent Review: Taylor did an outstanding job!!!! The trim work is first rate. The fan and vent installations look professional!!! He even took pics of the bathroom fan venting to show me what the hidden part of the job looked like. He was able complete the jobs ahead of schedule and charged me less than the quote!!! I hired him again to do some drywall work...

Recent Review: We had some poor communication at first, the microwave was installed at a height I could not reach. But they came back within a week and for an additional 1/3 of the original price moved it to a reasonable height.

Recent Review: Paul Forde is a true handyman that seems to be able to do most anything needed around the house. Our project was started by another contractor who proved to be unreliable and rarely showed up when he said he'd be here. Thank goodness we happened upon Paul, who was punctual and extremely professional. He also installed a new microwave oven for us and vented it outside which will hopefully take care of an excess of humidity we have experienced due to the previous microwave not having an outside vent. Paul gave us what we felt were very fair prices for work he did. We have other projects that need to be done and there is no doubt about who we'll contact to complete them for us. We're thankful we happened upon A to Z Handyman Services and Paul Forde.

Recent Review: Because our old electric range coils/burners were not working and at times turned on when they should not, we decided to upgrade with a gas range. Handyman Matters was great at helping with the coordination of the project. We depended on Handyman M. to remove the old range, and widen the cabinetry to prepare for the new range. After the gas inspection, Handyman also removed the microwave over the range due to the fact that it was not high enough above the burners.  We purchased a new hood which Handyman installed including the addition of an inside vent extension through the attic. Handyman was great!

Recent Review: If hiring as a work team, expect to pay $1000 a day. Kitchen cabinets (14 on the floor, 2 hung, two sinks, electrical outlets every 4 feet) took 4 days. The oven cabinet was 96" tall, torn apart...that's a lot of time.  A second 96" cabinet was customized to make a coffee machine and microwave look built in, while protecting the inside wood with formica custom built...adds time, a little extra money, but the results as an investment are WELL worth it. You're paying for guys who can glance at a scene and spot 10 things even you the seasoned builder/owner might not. If you don;t speak house builder language, they'll break it down for you in civilian terms. My husband speaks builder speak. He loves these guys. Did I mention they just went to work every morning while my husband and I slept on a floor below most of the day,. since we'd typically been up all night with pain and injuries? THAT's a caring, trusting team - them and us.

ASteadfast Home Repair and Services
Chris (Steadfast Home Repair) is Polite,Punctual and his work is Impeccable.  He can be relied upon to arrive on time and stay until the job is finished.  Chris ensured all areas where he worked were completely clean, thus leaving no clean-up work for others.  He took the time and happily answered questions concerning projects I am planning on doing myself.  His advise will save me time and money.  It was a pleasure having someone with a Great Attitude and Positive energy working in my home.  My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the work Chris did for us.  I would highly recommend Chris (Steadfast Home Repair) if you want your job done right and in a timely manner.  I look forward to working with Chris in the future.,

Chris was truly a pleasure to work with. He's professional, flexible, kind, and likes dogs! We contacted a number of contractors for bids, and Chris easily had the fairest price (we had a rough price point of what we believed the service would cost and he nailed it). Also, we had some bidders (top rated here on Angie's list) who's fees were higher and could only do half the project. For example, we had a contractor who could do the drywall but could not do the electrical - meaning we would have to find multiple contractors for this project. Chris, being "Jack of all trades" in conjunction with his fair price made it a no-brainer. As far as the job goes, we could not be happier. He really seems like he takes pride in what he does and that comes out in the small details of his work. He's very flexible. I forgot to mention an important detail about the project during his initial estimate and it wasn't a problem. In fact, he performed a few supplementary things for us that we had not previously discussed. Again, the additional material and labor costs he added to the final charge was very reasonable. Additionally, he is very tidy and always cleaned up his work area after he was finishing for the day (the whole project took about five days to complete) - this was obviously very nice to come home to. Finally, Chris is a great communicator and was easy to get a hold of via text, including frequently sending photo updates to ensure we were satisfied. Overall, we are totally thrilled. The only unfortunate part of all this is that Steadfast Home Repair is relocating to the Lower 48 - because we would definitely use him for a bunch of other projects we have. Thanks again, Chris and Steadfast Home Repair!

FThe Handy Hubby
Ray is a nice guy and did a good job on the large tile install on the kitchen floor.  Here were the problems with his work:  Backsplash - when you tile with mosaic tile you never have two of the same tiles together, multiple places on my backsplash this is a problem.  The caulk on the bottom of the tiles is everywhere and not a nice even line.  This was the first of Ray's cleanup problems.  I found grout - dried grout everywhere.  He did not put drop clothes down so the grout from the backsplash was on my countertops and my cabinets.  The grout fromt he floor tile install was found in clumps on walls on the kickplates of the cabinets on the cabinets and then also tracked through my house.  Also he dumped dry grout on my carpet in the spare room and now I have a nice dark stain.  I had a microwave that was to be installed and he had all of the measurments to tile up to the microwave.  He did not take advantage of that and tiled too high.  Not a big deal but when he chipped off the glass tiled from the wall he just left the shards of glass all over the floor and countertops.  We found grout down our bathroom sink and turpentine down or kitchen disposal sink even though we showed him where th elaundry room sink was.  I was cleaning paint and poly out of my stainless steel kistchen sink for hour.  He left used brushes around and half used cans even after he had "cleaned up".  I had to actually put "clean up" on the punchlist or the pile of sawdust would have remained in my home. As for the painting and doors - I had to have him redo the trim paint 2 times above the original and there is not only paint on my windows that hedid not clean off bu also paint on my shade now after the 3rd time he did them.  The door, well I probably need to have them sanded down and re-done properly. As I said Ray is a nice guy but he has no attention to detail or general clean up and prep.
