DELAYS, THEFT FROM HOMEOWNERS, UNDER QUALIFIED!! This company was on it from the get-go but went downhill fast. It was winter and they were eager for work. We had an insurance claim to repair a broken floor joist that was causing our weight bearing wall to sag. The work began January 2014. The initial foundation repair went ok. The contractors were NOT timely. They did the underneath work fairly rapidly but were not qualified to do all the work that was part of the job. First, our heat kept going out because they kept turning the furnace down/off and wouldn't make sure it was working when they left at the end of the day. They had taken the intake piping for the furnace off to build the new wall. The only air for the furnace to draw from was the exhaust, creating a potential CARBON MONOXIDE poisoning issue. Second, our water heater went out a couple of times. Why? Two reasons, the air from the furnace circulating in the crawl space blew out the pilot light. Second, they had unplugged the sump pump and the entire crawlspace filled with water from ground seepage. Third, when they finally came up into the house to do the interior work, it was obvious that they were not qualified to frame and build a wall. The employee running the job told me that a bid for interior sheet rock and wall work was too expensive and his boss wouldn't allow for that. The owner, Scott, told us that was not true after seeing the horrible wall they built. It was so bad it had to be redone multiple times. It was so out of square that the trim they cut looked like a wedge of cheese! They were inside the house 3 weeks, before I kicked them out, to build out a wall, replace a French door, sheetrock and paint. The crew was not experienced in hanging doors and almost broke the new door. It disrupted our whole schedule for much longer than was necessary or reasonable. Perhaps the worst offense is that one of the crew stole from us! He took our Iphone 4, which our son used as an Ipod. He waited 2 months before he hooked it up but we were able to track it. The best thing Scott did for us was to get it back from him, however, he wasn't fired and is still being sent on jobs. The repair was engineered. The bank held the money in escrow and released the funds upon completion inspection by their agent. This company has been paid in full, the engineer says all work is NOT complete and some corrections need to be made. In the almost a year since completion, we have had several appointments for the repair to be finished which have never come about. Our house is not complete and now they are not answering the phone or returning any calls. If we want our engineering report to be finalized and signed off on, it looks like we will have to spend more of 1)our own time and money personally finishing the repairs or 2) hire another contractor out of our own pocket to finish the repairs. BOTTOM LINE? I would say this company is under qualified for the work they did apart from the foundation and are thieves. If you hire them, be home at all times, lock up your valuables, insist on qualified heating and interior sub contractors, and DO NOT PAY THEM IN FULL UNTIL ALL THE WORK IS COMPLETED.
