There was a minor problem with paint adhesion in some spots on the deck which, but they did a thorough job of investigating and reworking the problem areas. The finished garage and deck looks great!

Recent Review: Pressure washed a week before painting so the siding was dry for scraping and painting. Thoroughly scraped the existing paint work and left for a day to let the dust settle. Masked all the windows and doors, sprayed and back-rolled with the new color. The following day painted all the trim and the front door. Final day on touch up. Team was responsive, motivated and professional. They did a really nice job.

Recent Review: Not all paint jobs are created equal; we recently found out that our house was painted 3 years ago before we bought it and half of the house was already peeling because of poor prep work and because of a very poor job. We hired Randy not because he was the cheapest painter but because he had the most experience. Randy has more than 35 years experience as a painter and he comes from a family of painters and craftsman. We needed someone with the skill to do minor carpentry repairs, repair water damage, match textures, make bird blocks and to repair siding. Randy had a plan to fix the peeling paint and to prevent it from coming back. His crew power washed, scraped, sanded, caulked, and repaired everything that needed to be fixed. Randy and his crew used peel stop on the bad sides, primed everything that needed primer, and put 2 real coats of paint on the body and trim. Randy and his crew followed procedures and used good practices on the whole job. The site was kept clean especially in the front of the yard. I am a particular person who lives in an HOA and it is important to keep things clean and tidy. Randy was always easy to reach and I never had any issues with communication. Overall, the job went very well and the house looks great and any minor issues where addressed.. The interior patch due to water damage is nearly a perfect match a solid 9.5/10. Patching due to water damage is extremely difficult and takes skill and finesse. Overall, I would give Randy an 9.5+/10 on the whole job. If you want a long lasting paint job and you need a skilled painter; you can't go wrong with Randy Wadleigh Painting Co.

Recent Review: Recently I had my 35+ year old painted dark brown with red doors. Plus, I had boards on my wraparound deck replaced. I was very pleased with the results achieved by Corrie Hardy who provided the painters and carpenters. The work was slow and steady, it took 3 days to complete everything. The men were here from 10:30 a.m. (approximately) to 2:30 p.m. (approximately) for 3 days. They were very thorough in the painting and deck repair. My house looks fantastic with the impression desired by any homeowner who wishes to put their house on the market. After all, the first thing most people notice is the outside especially the front entrance. Kudos to Ron, Corrie and his crew.

Horrible. I had my siding done earlier this summer and the color/paint was baked in via Color Plus Technology. I needed to have the trim parts that were not part of that job painted but I also had to wait for a garage door replacement to be completed. When it was all ready to go, I started to look for exterior. I called a few places and the first 2 honestly told me they are booked for months out. When I called this company, I felt like I could have the job done timely because of what the man said. He indicated that he lived close and would stop by the following week. At first we spoke, then it was all via text. The man who answered the phone asked me to text, which I did. He said he'd be able to stop by on Wednesday if the weather was not good, Well, the weather was beautiful today, so I texted him saying that since the weather was so nice and that Friday looked like rain, could he come to talk about the job and give an estimate then. I received a text a bit after 5PM saying that he could stop by after 7:30PM. I was thrilled that he'd do this so I said sure and gave him my address. I cancelled my plans but it was supposed to be worth it, but... As I was waiting outside to make sure he knew it was my house, I saw a text at 7:26PM.. it said "What city?" I told him the same thing I had said a week ago, only to get this response. "I am sorry I can't make it today we have to schedule another day thought it's going to be close to my house but it's not.." I was not pleased, but I was still trying to work with him. I texted to make sure he knew where I lived.. no response. Asked if Friday would work since it looked like rain..no response.. Finally texted: "I did tell you the city when I first texted. If you are not interested in the job, could you just let me know? I need to move on this." Response some time later: "We are not interested we are to (sic) busy now" Then we had a text exchange about people doing what they said they'd do and how I also happen to have been extremely busy only rearrange my schedule to wait for him. I mentioned that he could have at least said so earlier. Response was to the effect that the are a serious professional company which "could have been the reason" I "insisted on having our services." When I explained that I was also busy and changed my schedule to meet him, and that he could have at least apologized for standing me up, I got this... "First of all we had no arrangement or agreement. I made you no promises. And for the excuse part, you are very close to the thin line of owing me some apologies if you still bother me with your messages. Have a nice busy life! Good bye for good." My response: "This will be going on Angie's List. Thanks for helping me prove my point." His response: "Good luck with Angie's List (Smiley Icon) I never have worked with clients off Angie's List, that is for handyman and illegal workers, BYE" Hence.. A REALLY BIG FAT F for this service provider!

After being the cheapest quote and having three neighbors use them with satisfactory results two summers ago I thought it would be a good choice to use this company. While getting an estimate for my exterior house painting I met Jason, who was friendly and answered all my questions, but I learned later he lied to me probably just to sell me into using their business. First, I asked how many days it would take to do the entire job and he quoted me "4-5 days". I specifically asked if Certapro contracted their work out to a third party contractor and he told me "no". He said everyone of their 12 teams were employed directly with Certapro and medically insured each one of them. I'll get back to where those lies came to play. One day I drove home to find a strange truck parked outside my house. People were working on my house without my prior knowledge. I called Jessica, the owner, to ask why I wasn't better communicated and I was unhappy since I normally take a shower after my workout and without prior knowledge someone could've easily looked inside my bathroom window. Anyway, she apologized but I also didn't want them to work on my house in the rain. In the forecast there was maybe one sunny day and the other days were all rain. I understood they were pressured to do as much as they could since the season was more wet than typical but it is my house and wish it was again, better communicated, that they were planning to paint at all that week before work started. The crew packed up and left and didn't hear back for another month and a half. Thought things couldn't have gotten any worse but they did! First Jessica emailed to ask me if the next week I would be fine with starting the paint work. I said "sure" but all week long nobody showed up. This is when every single day in the forecast was sunny so there shouldn't have been any tie ups from the weather. Finally the following week a crew showed up of maybe 6 men on the first day but they mostly did prep work. They told me that one of them wasn't going to be on site because his wife was having a baby. Maybe it was a language barrier but then they came to tell me nobody would be working on that weekend. They had the whole crew come out on Friday and they painted the majority of the primary color on three sides of the house, minus the front, trim and doors. Well, after that day things progressed at snail pace! Only two men worked on my house for the majority of time afterward and they came to my house on the weekend to ask permission to work on the house. I thought nobody was coming to work on the Memorial Day weekend. They worked on Sunday and Monday but skipped Saturday. I was fine with the idea but while they were at my house for three hours on Sunday I didn't see very much progress. It happened again where they came on Monday but it was only a gradual amount of work that I could see done. Now we're fast forwarding a few days and I see my poor plant with many broken branches. One of the guys claimed he fell off the ladder and the plant broke his fall. He didn't report it to anybody and apparently didn't report it to me, his coworker or Jessica. This is when I started asking questions. So, these guys don't work directly with Certapro and in fact work for Caribbean Painting which is a third party contractor. This is also the same day they painted and had opened my side door of the garage without me being home. Now I'm not sure if they opened it on their own and just told me it was unlocked. We never use that door and are pretty good about locking everything so I was a bit skeptical. What's odd is they had already started painting it without my knowledge about the door being unlocked first. Let's just say the timing of it just didn't sit right with me. Caribbean Painting has only been in business for four months!! Four whole months with probably very little experience in exterior since it had been raining all winter and spring! Not a good sign at all. They sprayed painted my gutters and that's when I noticed they also sprayed paint on my newly changed roof. This was the length of my single garage door. My roof was replaced last summer for $23,000 and they had ruined it! Never had I seen a roof painted while the exterior paint was done. This is like someone painting your brand new car! Obviously I called Jessica who came over with her interpreter Matthew. They said they would paint it to color match my roof. My roof is a dark charcoal color, almost black, but I was not happy because I didn't know if that was going to revoke my warranty on my roof. I felt like they shook off the problem as if it wasn't a big deal because the way they talked to me was as though it was only an aesthetic reason. Guess we'll see if my roof ever leaks before my 40 year warranty to see if there are more problems to consider with this company. They should've fixed my roof and replaced all the painted shingles and laid new singles to make me completely satisfied. The guys climbed up and scrubbed the roof with some kind of "special brush". Now my roof has a brown color instead of the dark charcoal because Caribbean Painting didn't paint it but at least it's not as noticeable if you don't know where to look. But my neighbor who lives across from my house at a higher elevation told me there was more paint that was on my roof! This was even worse than the one I could see above my garage. The amount of paint they had on my roof were about the whole length above a one car door garage by 2 ft. The other side was worse at least 8 ft by 6 ft of paint. Obviously I was in disbelief that they didn't even consider looking at the rest of my roof without me asking to see if they got paint elsewhere. I can't see every angle of my roof so I made one of the painters take a video walking everywhere on my roof to ensure nothing else was there. They went up there again to scrub it but it's still brown after almost a month has passed when they said it'll darken and become closer to the roof color. Liars! During the entire week I told them when they could work on the front door and I even left it opened and unlocked but they never listened to me and were always so surprised when I told them I had to leave to pick up my kids from school and to bring them to their after school activities. I had my own class to attend in the mornings so they really had to work with my schedule but was a good 3-4 hour window. They were getting a bit frustrated when day 4 came around and couldn't work on my front door. Not my fault they always worked on something else instead. After what they did to my roof and plant they thought I was being ridiculously picky about missed areas that weren't painted. In a way I wanted them to pay me back for the damage they caused to my roof and I had a right to be completely satisfied with the work they did. Though I know I will never be satisfied because they should've changed all my shingles to make me 100% happy. The owner of Caribbean Painting, Jorge, finally decided to show up on the second to last day. I was tired of having their company on my property and damaging things at my house. He was thinking I was being a ridiculous customer with an assortment of complaints and unwilling to pay until somewhat satisfied. Well, they painted the decorative wood part above my door the wrong color and I guess it was a language barrier because they said it was a lot of work to paint it. Not my fault! Also not my fault for ruining my bush and painting my roof!! Jorge had real attitude and basically said I inconvenienced him and his crew for not keeping my front door open for his workers to work on for the last couple of days. I told him it was ridiculous to think I was going to allow strangers access to my house without anybody at home. As if he would hand me the keys to his house at any given time! Another thing he said to me is "It's only the outside of the house and you shouldn't care that it's not perfect". Wow, seriously, that shows he really doesn't care and only wants his money with a sloppy job. I'm paying $5k and I should expect perfection!! He also told me the majority of his crew had a bigger commercial building so he didn't care about my house and I was wasting time to work so many days on my house. Well, if his crew didn't paint my roof and maybe if he had supervised his workers it would've been done faster without mistakes!! Plus they wasted four days not listening to what my schedule was everyday. My exterior paint job was 11 days long! Never use Caribbean Painting or Certapro Painting. When I asked Jessica if there's ever a supervisor onsite or who checks in periodically she said "no". That means these inexperienced workers are damaging houses without anybody managing them. What's worse is the language barrier so nobody is there to interpret either. It's just set up to be a disastrous outcome. Run far away from them.

Top notch job!  Derek really knows how to put a top quality paint job on a house!  He was an excelent source of knowledge providing me with multiple options for materials as well as supplying excellent creative input for some interior color changes / accent walls.  He corrected numerous deficiencies with the application of the house's original paint.  This attention to detail and superior application technique made the house.  This house was relatively new (2007), however, at the end of any project sometimes money impacts the quality, as it did on this house's paint job.  Kitsap Custom Coatings gave my house a top quality and professional paint job that not only will protect my investment for years to come but makes certain that it looks great while doing it!  There is integrity in this service, not only in the job but in the people.  I gave them complete access to my house in order to get this job done.  And believe me, unless you tell them not to move your stuff, they will move it (and eventually move it back) to get the job done!  Nothing was broken or missing.  Each day the job foreman would give an update on the day's events or discoveries prior to leaving.  If I came home after they had left I received a phone call from either the job foreman or Derek.  Superior service.  Superior quality.  Integrity.  They have my highest recommendation.
