This project is not yet complete. Mike Sowry often hired poorly skilled and inexperienced subs and provided little oversight of their work. Ex: carpenters were used to paint. Time and again, for almost all parts of the project, work was poor, we brought it to his attention, he agreed and it had to be ripped out and done again. Sometimes this was done fairly promptly, sometimes not. This included profound problems with the concrete floor, screens, window sills, exterior trim and flashing and French doors. Time and again interior and exterior trim, casings and drywall weren't filled and smoothed prior to painting resulting in an unprofessional appearance. In January we paid in full for the A/C unit; in April the supplier threatened our home with a lien because Mike hadn't paid for it. In February we first told him new French doors were gapping/leaking; in July doors still leaked and mold was on adjoining walls. Often he would be out of contact without any notice; weeks at times.
