Master bath remodel turned out well! Jeff and his guys are easy to work with and very responsive. Jeff is also very good at offering alternatives when things don't go quite as planned (sourcing fixtures, working around secrets hidden in walls, etc) and suggestions when you need some guidance in making a decision. Also, he and his guys are good with communication via text/phone. No one had to be home for much of the process and I had no reservations about leaving the key for whomever was scheduled to work. The work space was tidied up at the end of every day so I didn't have step over 'construction mess' everywhere. I plan to use them again for the kitchen remodel.

AROD'S REMODELING
My husband and I first hired Rodney Miller 2 years ago to fix damage from a water leak and renovate a bathroom. He did a terrific job--getting it done on time and on budget. The bathroom still looks fantastic! Recently my elderly father needed to have grab rails installed in his bathroom. I called Rodney to see if he could do this. He promptly came out and installed the grab rails in less than an hour's time. I have been very happy with his work. He is knowledgeable and thorough and takes care of his customers. Wilma Yantis

Tackling two bathroom renovations for a house twenty years old was intimidating at first; however, after researching various companies, we decided to go with Zendo Renovation. From the beginning, we were impressed by the professionalism and thoroughness of Zendo Renovation's owner Greg McDevitt. Greg walked us through the entire process and let us know what to expect during the renovation. He was there every step of the way during the renovations and provided great ideas on how to optimize space and get the most out of our budget. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Greg and his workers as they renovated our two bathrooms. Everything about the experience was very positive! The workers were always polite, pleasant and professional, and the finished product was amazing! We highly recommend anyone looking to remodel to contact Zendo Renovations. We will continue to use Zendo for all our remodeling needs.

Mario did an incredible job of completely demoing and recreating our master bathroom.  He demo’d our floor, shower, and tub.  He put down new tile on our floor and built our new shower from scratch (extending it and completely changing it’s floorplan).  He worked with various vendors to paint our cabinets and to give us new countertops, mirrors, and lighting.  The finish of the bathroom really is top notch.  We were and continue to be very pleased with Mario’s professionalism and timely follow up.   He also organized the effort to complete our back patio.  They demo’d our existing pergola and re-built a structurally sound back patio (it looks like an extension of our house).  We, again, are very pleased with the end result. Mario still works with us today on our various home renovations.  He is incredibly reliable and someone we will continue to work with.

They did a fantastic job. We like them so much from the first bathroom , we asked to do the second. They are the best. Very customer friendly. They come and help you with everything and you are involved.

He was precise, on-site and went out of his way to do other little things not originally discussed. I loved how he was the one there doing it and not just a contractor that shows up at the end of the day to check on other guys. Really detailed and nice guy.

Contractor was on time and worked a full day to install premium hardwood and replaced fixtures in the bathrooms.  They did a great job matching the bathroom flooring to the existing hardwood flooring in the hallway.  After they finished they hauled the old tile and took payment by credit card.

This is the third time I've used Alamo Handyman and they did an awesome job in my bathroom remodel. I had already gutted it so they came in and put in in-floor heating, new tile, new tub and tiled walls, drywall, etc. I am very, very satisfied with the work and will definitely call on them in the future.

Recent Review: We just finished an upstairs (Guest) bathroom remodel with Sweetwater Home Services. New walls, new counter and cabinet fronts, new tub, new surround and new fixtures. Basically everything new with the exception of the tile floor. Over the past 30 years I have been involved with roughly 7 – 8 home improvement projects of one form or another. I can say without reservation that this project was the most pleasant, seamless and problem free remodel I have ever experienced. The Sweetwater representative Jeff Asmussen was an absolute pleasure to work with. He answered all our questions, gave us exceptional guidance as we selected products for the project and was always available if we needed additional assistance or clarification. The actual on sight liaison was Travis. Travis personally oversaw every step of the project and we were totally comfortable with his presence in our home. He was so patient with our priorities and was always willing and eager to make minor tweaks in the plans as the project unfolded. The bottom line the project finished up as expected and was within $100 of the estimate for the entire remodel. We could not be more pleased and would use Sweetwater and its team again in a heartbeat.

Recent Review: There are not enough words to describe the outstanding and awesome work DJ and his team did in updating our 1975 bathroom. Ceiling, shower, toilet, cabinets, etc were gutted out. There was a small recess wall in master bedroom which he was able to extend the shower. The old shower was a headache. When the new shower drain was to be installed it was discovered that the old drain was cemented to the pvc drain pipe. It took a day and a half to remove the concrete. DJ asked if we wanted the shower pipes moved to the opposite end of the shower wall which we agreed. New plumbing material was replaced. All of the old shower tile was removed and it was discovered there was rotting wood. He also told us there was water damage to the sheet rock in our master closet since the shower was next to closet wall. All rotten wood, and damaged area were taken care of. The bathroom has 7 ft ceiling. DJ was hoping to raise the ceiling but the arrangement of 3 vents was difficult to remedy. The shower ceiling was raise though. I was so over whelmed with the selection of shower tiles, Mrs.Joseph(DJ's wife) told me to go with what caught my eye and I selected several tiles in the same color family and narrowed it down to the color scheme that was closet to granite countertop. DJ selected floor and shower floor tile. He helped me in the selection of cabinets. I wanted items that required the least amount of work to clean up. I selected brush nickel for shower head, hand held shower wane and and faucets. He added updated heat and air vents. Recess lighting was added to the shower which added a softness to the area. Shower niche, bench were added and back tile in the niched and bottom side of bench has a glass circle pattern which provides contrast to the shower tile wall. Shower glass sliding doors were installed. He choose a mirror that went perfectly with the the light fixtures. Walls, ceilings were sheet rocked and the wall paint tied everything together. In the master bedroom I needed more closet space. A vanity area was converted into a linen closet. Mirror, marble counter and drawer were taken out. Three sturdy shelves were made, installed, painted and a door added. Recess lighting was added. At the end of each day clean up was done vacuuming, picking up trash etc. Cliff, Micah, and Lestor did a wonderful job from tiling, sheet rocking, carpentry work, painting and so much more. DJ is courteous, professional and always on time. HE DOES NOT WORK ON OTHER CONTRACTS UNTIL THE CONTRACT HE HAS WITH YOU IS COMPLETE AND HE DOES NOT SUBCONTRACT. He works with his crew and if he has to leave he will let you know. He returns to check on his teams work. If he does not like the work performed it will be corrected to his satisfaction. DJ is honorable, a perfectionist and his work ethics represents the man that he is. I wished I had known about him 1st when work was done on my kitchen. My next project is to hire him to redo my kitchen.

Recent Review: We wanted to have our master bath remodeled.  We contacted several companies and Lone Star State appeared to have a reasonable price for what we wanted to accomplish.  The entire bathroom was remodeled except for the flooring.  The cost of the service listed above may not include the entire cost as we purchased materials separately thus the final remodel price was more than what is stated.   The company started the project on time.  There is a on-line calendar system they use to help coordinate the project as to who will show up and when.  As well, we used a real estate lock so that they can have access to our home when we were not around.  The project started off with the demolition of course and we were impressed with how quickly things went.  They do rely on subcontractors but Daren, who coordinated the project, was our point of contact.  The project went fine and mostly without issues.  My only previous experience with contractors for remodeling was my parents experience in the Northeast.  I can say that definitely, Lone Star State beat every single one of those contractors in terms of professionalism, punctuality, honesty, integrity and workmanship by a country mile. In terms of how things went after the initial demo, the most painful part was waiting for the city inspectors and this certainly was nothing Lone Star State could control.  In terms of quality of work, they did a very nice job overall in putting together the tiles for things like the backsplash, installing the new vanities and lights, etc. They did have to coordinate things with the some of our other suppliers (the bath counter was installed and purchased from another company as that company wanted to do the installation themselves).  Sometimes, this did not always go well as measurements were off and we had to have things re-centered like the vanity mirrors (not Lone Star's fault).  However, this is where I think Lone Star State really excelled as they were able to adjust to issues as they came up.  Overall, they finished the project on time and were very responsive.  Now, if I were to say everything was great and there were no issues, well, then this would not be an honest review.  However, no construction project ever goes without issues and believe me, some of the things that happened with my parents home when they employed contractors was quite impressive in a bad way and our issues that came up pales in comparison.  First, the issues that came up were relatively minor.  However, it is how the company deals with the problems that come up that was key in how we felt about their work.  Lone Star State does use subcontractors and sometimes the quality did vary and also in terms of punctuality of some of the contractors.  But here is why I would use them again without question.  Daren, our coordinator, was a superstar.  He responded to my many requests without once getting annoyed and displayed incredible professionalism.  If something wasn't right, he fixed it.  You could say any problems that appeared, Daren got it fixed as quickly as flushing a toilet.  I got to know Daren pretty well and I can truly say, I trust him.  I trust that he wanted to always make things go right and if it did not, he would bend over backwards to do so.  At the end of the day, we have a great new bathroom that looks great.  After the work was done, Lone Star State does give a warranty for one year and Daren was more than willing to honor any minor issues that came up and was extremely response even after the contract was completed. In summary, life is not perfect and any construction project will have bumps in it.  However, it is how the company responds to those road bumps and how they treat their customers that is key.  Daren was awesome in his professionalism, integrity, responsiveness and overall customer service.  Daren responded after-hours, on weekends, whenever and I never had an issue of getting a hold of him.  The company delivered a beautiful result in the end that was on time (I think we finished either on time or just a day or two late due to waiting for the city inspectors--again, not their fault).  This company does nice work but from a customer service standpoint, Daren exceeded any and all expectations I had.  They deliver a nice product, on time and excelled at being responsive to any of our needs.  Daren, thank you for all your hard work and answering my calls night and day and delivering a wonderful product in the end.

Recent Review: Renovate Paint & Design (RPD) did a fine job. Between the time we contracted with RPD and the star of work we found out that my wife would need hip replacement surgery and needed it ASAP. RPD pushed hard and got all the critical stuff done to make the MBR ready for us before the surgery date. Small problems always arise and RPD was quick to find work arounds when possible and otherwise resolved matters in a timely fashion. We hope to do our other bathroom in 2019 and RPD will be on our short list of remodelers.
