Overall, it went great. Tony, the owner of Texas Outdoor Escapes, was really friendly and professional throughout the process. We found Tony through Angie's List and he was the second contractor who contacted us back with a reasonable price to build our outdoor kitchen. Our house came with the outdoor plumbing and water already so this saved us time and money. My husband provided him a CAD drawing of the layout/cutouts we want for our grill and accessories so Tony didn't really partake in the structural design of our outdoor kitchen. We got our grill and equipment online and gave Tony the measurements and he ensured that we will have enough space to accommodate all the items we purchased: grill, drawers, two burner stove, pull-out trash bin, refrigerator, and sink. Tony guided us in choosing the stones for the masonry. The price we paid included the steel framework, masonry, electrical with an additional electrical outlet, and the installation of the grill and accessories. The porcelain tile for the countertops, the travertine tile for the backsplash, and the grouting materials for these were additional costs on top of the $4228 we paid for. I wish it was included in the price. However, we did receive a 10% Angie's List Discount and another 5% Military discount, which I was really happy about. Due to the rainy weather, it took a while for our outdoor grill to be completed than I expected. But overall, I am very please with the final product. I would work with Tony at Texas Outdoor Escapes again.
