On Nov. 16, 2016 I entered into a contract with the vendor to install dry-laid flagstone with decomposed granite mixed with concrete to an area in my backyard. The work was performed a month later on Dec. 16, 2016. The cost of the work was $3357.72. While the initial work appeared to be of high quality, the decomposed granite was not sealed and most of the product was gone by April 2017. I began to contact the company regarding my concerns in mid-April by email as you cannot get this company on the phone. After two weeks, on April 24, 2017, I received a reply from the President of the Company, John Rodriguez, asking for pictures of the issues which I sent. On April 27, 2017, I received an email from Mr. Rodriguez stating that he would create a work order to install more decomposed granite and a pathway stabilizer to harden. Finally, on May 26, 2017, the 'warranty' work was scheduled. No one from John's Landscaping called to confirm the appointment and I finally reached out to Mr. Rodriguez on his personal phone to ask if this was really going to be done. In short, they sent four (4) employees, most of whom were on their cell phones for the hour or so they were at my residence. No decomposed granite was added. The employees had a small container of path stabilizer which only covered a small portion of the area needed to be covered. On June 11, 2017, I sent a detailed message to their company stating that I would never use or recommend their company again and posted the complaint to several online sites warning other customers. On June 13, 2017, I received an email from Mr. Rodriguez who stated "I regret we could not have made things right". I replied that they should not take money if they cannot perform or warranty the work . Out of the blue, I received a phone call from their Office Manager, Sue Ellen, on June 27, 2017, stating the company was going through some 'changes' and they had found a work order, for warranty work, for my residence, containing the order for the decomposed granite. I told Sue Ellen about my experience with her company and she was very apologetic and asked me to forward any correspondence to her. She replied that she would forward my issues to Chris Rodriguez, Vice President, and 'will be in contact with a solution." I've never heard back from any one. By the way, although the have the BBB logo on their website, they are not BBB accredited.
