Reviews in San Antonio for Countertop Installation

AUniversal Form Tops Inc
I had countertops installed by them 4 years ago. The countertops started to crack. I called them to have them come out and fix the small cracks. They came right out and fixed them for no charge. Then, they called later to recommend putting a seal in for the cook-top, between the counter top to act as a buffer. They put it in for no charge. I would highly recommend them to others

Promised someone would come measure on Monday.  On Tuesday I called and was told someone would be out by Friday.  Never showed.  When I returned from an out of town trip, I texted and didn't receive a response.  When I returned from another out of town trip, I called and was told he was only waiting for me to return.  FINALLY, after calling and asking for my money back, a young man came to measure.  He returned a few days later and installed the countertops.  Aside for some gluey places on top of two counters, the work is beautiful.

Very well! It was very competitive and good price. I actually recommended them to a couple of my friends. I was very satisfied. We had one little problem with the corner and I called them up and came up the next day and took care of it. So, they were very responsive, the work was good, they work with more presence and I was very happy with everything. They were on time.

They were friendly, easy to work with. We had to take out our old countertops (they don't do that work) and they installed the new ones. I would use them again.

The installers measured the sink incorrectly. The office seemed to be disorganized, i.e., office workers and installers did not communicate with each other about pertinent job information, requiring me to explain things multiple times. They often did not return phone calls.

Armando and his team were very professional. I experienced superb communication from start to finish. The high quality of work paired with the low cost of labor keeps me coming back to this company time and time again.

Service was done very professionally in terms of completing work on a timely manner and customer service. BUT there were too many things that were not included in the price that did really affected the appearance of the installed countertop. Lots of trim touch up was needed.

There was a lot to do and there were a couple of snags, which Adrian and I talked out and came up with solutions. Adrian even did some tiling to help unify the space - at no additional cost. My kitchen looks amazing now. There are a couple of things that I would have done differently, had I to do it over again: have them hang plastic over the doors to the kitchen to keep the dust from going everywhere and moving all the things in the lower cabinets in order to keep all of the construction bits out. It did force me to have a good clean and sort through, so I made it a positive.

Recent Review: It was pleasant and fast. From demolition to completion 2 days short of our contractors 2 week time frame. They were punctual and professional. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph are always on site we felt totally at ease. My husband and I did not miss one day of work with this remodel. They also painted the kitchen, upgraded the electrical outlets and even put in newer air conditioning vents to complete the look. Such attention to detail we have never experienced. Once the contract was signed the fun began. We saw a computer generated image of our new kitchen design. Our contractor accompanied us to the showroom, this allowed us to see options we had never imagined. They were very knowledgeable of design and had many suggestions of where to look for special one of a kind accents. In the end the compter generated image was a reality. TheTuscan kitchen of our my dreams is now ours.

Recent Review: After calling Mr Fox, He arrived promptly on time and proceeded to listen intently to my desires. He was patient and helpful without pressuring me to go one way or the other. He explained in detail the work to be performed and gave me a reasonable timeline for completion. His crew was quite accommodating and arrived on time as promised. The work was performed as promised with no problems. The crew was experienced and knowledgeable and took great care to protect the surroundings. The cost was commensurate with the work performed and I have been delighted with the final product. I have spoken to his brother and am planning to have him do my bathrooms in the near future.

Recent Review: When Leslie Konarske arrived at our home for the estimate, she brought her carpenter, Philip. I was impressed! They went over the list of extensive repairs, painting, interior and exterior work I had for them. (We ended up breaking the projects down into Phase 1 - Exterior, and Phase 2 - Interior). They set to work examining each item and asking questions to determine exactly what I wanted done. They offered suggestions on my options. Leslie said she would have an estimate for me in a day or two, and she did. The estimate was broken down by Phases.  (Phase 1, exterior repairs and painting, and interior painting of the ceilings and walls) went without a hitch in November 2015). Estimates were grouped by type (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.). This made it easy to decide what we wanted to keep and what we would wait on. Leslie gave us several options for lighting the kitchen, beyond the one island light we had already decided on. We ended up adding more lighting than originally planned, which cost several thousand dollars more, but there were no surprises; all the costs were clearly stated right from the beginning. It was up to us to decide exactly how much we wanted to spend. Phase 2, The Kitchen Project, commenced January 4, 2016.  Leslie walked us through the process, every step of the way. She narrowed down paint color choices for us, as well as tile (backspash) and granite (countertop) options. We wanted to create a flow between the living area and kitchen (we have an open floor plan), and integrate the varied tile colors we have on our floors and one wall with the new kitchen countertop and backsplash.  We succeeded beautifully. We chose to retain our cabinetry, complicating the removal of the old backsplash tile and countertops. Philip did a great job, with no damage to the existing cabinetry. He also built the new shelving units and installed them, and installed the oak panels over the old laminate that faced the sides of our cabinetry. He did a fabulous job cutting and fitting together the new crown molding.  Javier painted the ceilings and walls and stained the new oak additions. He also cleaned and re-sealed all the existing cabinetry, giving them a fresh new look that blended with the new pieces. He is a master at wall and ceiling repair, as well.  The electrical project involved removal of the huge rectangular florescent light box, taping, floating and texturing the ceiling, adding 6 new can lights, 4 new under counter lights, and a beautiful eye-catching center island light.  Also, new light switches and wiring. We went with Leslie's recommendations on lighting, and we are so happy with that decision. We have task lighting, a functional and beautiful island light, and great overhead illumination.  Leslie gave us a couple of granite options, which made it much easier for us to choose when that day came. The granite installation went without a hitch. Counters were installed perfectly level, so when the backsplash went in, the installer had no problem ensuring the tile was level.  Our new sink was installed, and the plumber also reinstalled the garbage disposal, and RO system, and he attached the dishwasher to the cabinetry.  He also hooked up the gas cooktop.   As with every project, there are times when questions come up, and Leslie was always available to us. She was present at critical junctures, and always performed an inspection of work before the next step proceeded.  I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that Leslie (a licensed general contractor and designer) was with us every step of the way. She has the highest of standards, and expects her crew to adhere to those standards. The team she put together was consistently punctual, courteous and professional. The job site was always clean at the end of the day. The project was completed within the time frame Leslie estimated (4 to 6 weeks). We are so pleased with the transformation of our kitchen from dingy, tired old tile to a light-filled modern workspace. The view into the kitchen from the living area enhances, rather than detracts, from the overall appearance of our home. We look forward to working with Leslie and her team again!

Recent Review: It took a lot of phone tag to finally get the technician to our house, but once here he was efficient and professional and did an amazing job. The chip was in the edge of a white quartz countertop, very difficult to match perfectly, and the repair is absolutely invisible. Not the lowest bid, but worth the price.
