Recent Review: Rocky was on time when he came out to survey the work I needed done. He offered suggestions on how to repair the rotted fascia and wooden beam area which led to a cost savings and did not require me to hire a roofer. He quickly provided me with an estimate. He was working on another job at the time, but kept me up to date on his schedule and when he'd be able to start my job. During the conduct of the work, Rocky was timely (he arrived and left at a reasonable hour), courteous, professional, innovative, meticulous, extremely neat (he cleaned up every day before he left), kept us informed on his schedule (i.e., he let us know if he was not coming usually because of rain), and gladly performed the additional tasks we added onto his plate. The overhangs/house extensions are 18-20 feet high, probably 30+ feet long, 10+ feet wide, are constructed of wood, and have six wooden beams that go from the front through the house and to the back. Rocky hand painted both the front and back overhangs with a brush on a ladder. Any cleaned up any paint that dripped onto the patio. The fascia and beam repairs were very close to the edge of the swimming pool and could not be easily reached with the ladder alone. Rocky built a platform that he extended over a portion of the pool, counter weighted it, and placed his ladder on the platform while he was doing the repairs and painting. When he was done with the work, he disassembled the platform and hauled it away. Rocky took down two old ceiling fans that we had over the back patio and hauled them away. He installed two new fans and get them set up and working. One of the fans would not work so he got on the phone with the technical support group for the fan manufacturer to try to see how to fix the issue. We ended up having him take down the one fan that would not work properly(which we returned) and then put up the new replacement fan. Once again, he made sure both fans were working before he moved onto another task, and he hauled away the boxes from both fans. Having had a lot of work done at the house over the past year, I was impressed with Rocky's neatness. He cleaned up every night, consolidating ladders, paint cans, tarps, and other materials into one inconspicuous location before he left. He did not leave any trash laying around the yard, hoses were recoiled, paint drippings were removed, and when he left we didn't find nails or screws or anything else laying on the ground. We have identified other tasks that need to be done both inside and outside the house, and while my husband could do them, his first response was to "Call Rocky. He'll do a better job than me". Thank you Rocky!

Almost immediately upon arrival, the electrician began saying that in 95% of the cases where they get called out to repair a fan, they are unable to repair and the fan has to be replaced. NOTE: I generally do not have a problem with this concept - the problem I have is if it is true that 95% of the time the electrician is called out to do work on a fan and it is unrepairable, wouldn't it be more appropriate to advise client of this in advance AND/OR suggest that client purchase a replacement fan in case the "normal" trouble shooting falls into that 95% "cannot fix, need to replace the fan" statistic. Further, the electrician (Roy) initially said that the bulbs were blown out...duh...I replaced them several times and no light. He then instructed us that we needed 75 watt small end bulbs because we were likely using the wrong voltage bulb (we were using 65 watt bulbs). OK...wife goes out to local home improvement store to find these 75 watt small end candelabra bulbs...guess what? No such bulb exists. Even searched on-line...and I am reasonably adept at finding things on-line. I showed Roy that no such bulb existed in this configuration...he shrugged with no further comment. Roy then proceeded to bad mouth the quality of products found at places like Lowes and Home Depot...that I should go to a lighting store to buy light bulbs and fans. REALLY? This sentiment was echoed by his boss Gary who was on the other end of the line with the electrician. Guess what, I have found products in home improvement stores to be a good, fair and long lasting solution in the past and "NO" I do not agree with your statement that we must have got a bad batch of fans. FYI paid electricians...75 watts is the MAXIMUM wattage you can use in those light kits...the actual fan comes with the 65 watt bulbs included in the box as per manufactures design. NEXT...I was clear in telling Roy that this whole appointment had been a complete waste of time and money because he accomplished absolutely nothing and ate up all of my paid time, fumbling with the screws and calling his boss who had no answers either. Roy agreed and left. WELL...he failed to replace the screws, left wiring exposed in my bedroom fan - a fan that worked quite well until now. Now I have to get on a ladder and fix your inept workmanship. NO I DO NO RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICE WORK OF ANY SORT.
