Superior Green Turf
Recent Review: My initial impression of Cesar Estrada (owner) was very good--he seemed to be very trustworthy and dedicated to customer satisfaction.  Unfortunately, in the year following his installation--I found that, at least in my case, that good impression proved to be wrong.  I will explain this later... First of all, the overall job was completed per the revised quote. A copy of the contract was promised, but never received. The overall appearance of his work was good, with the exception of the sand distribution after the turf was installed, cleanup of the coated fence perimeter where rains had splashed limestone base material, and the areas in the front of the house where base material was stored.  ...However, here's the real reason I would absolutely never recommend Cesar Estrada to anyone considering hiring him or his company: In the process of transporting the base material (crushed limestone) stored on the front lawn by wheelbarrow loads along the side of our home and then through the side gate into the backyard, the Bermuda grass lawn on the side became a muddy rutted mess, killing most of the grass along that area. This was not unexpected as the soil was moist. So, after the installation was completed and as I paid Cesar the remaining balance--we discussed the side yard mess and he said that he would come up with a fix for it--and that he would go 50/50 with me on supplies/materials (no labor charges), and take care of it for us.  I asked him for a ballpark figure of what my share of the cost of materials would be--he said $300-400.  Okay, I was fine with that, and he said he wanted to get it done before the first of the year (Jan 1 2014)... ...Well, that was over 1 year ago! Between Jan 1st and this past October, there were numerous email replies to my inquiries containing various excuses and always promising to take care of me--that he hadn't forgotten.  I continued polite and understanding emails periodically; in late summer through fall I tried contacting him by phone and left messages for him just to call me to discuss a solution...he never called me back.  The last email I received, nearly 11 months after the job was completed contained a rationale for the mess--seeming to back away from responsibility and our previous agreement--and proposing to do the fix now for  $1,200!

Recent Review: From the day Jim gave me the estimate until he finished the job he kept in contact with me. I had to postpone the job at least 3 times because of other work being done in our yard and Jim would call me every week to check in . Did you hear that ,Jim called me? I did not have to tract him down like other contractors. They did an excellent job, finished early and cleaned up. I will definitely use Down to Earth Landscaping again.

Recent Review: The owner, Jose (Tony) Carranza, and his employees created an outdoor space worthy of Homes and Gardens. The work that they performed was second to none. They worked tirelessly for several days to ensure the end product was nothing short of spectacular. They also spent extra time and energy (at no additional cost) to strip away the old product from the flagstone patio before the new sealer could be applied. We are so pleased with the results, that we fully intend to have "Tony" and his crew come back again to install Always Green artificial turf in our front yard.

Infinity Landscaping
Recent Review: Juan Estrada?s Infinity Landscaping is performing this landscaping project in my back yard (June 2015). This review also includes Before and After photos uploaded here on Angie?s List.  I am writing this review as events take place so I will not leave out any details. This job requires a lot of Hard, Labor intensive work!  My back yard has a lot of obstacles that include, an existing paver walk way, concrete borders around trees, planter boxes, sprinkler heads that they have to work around. BEFORE any work starts I am rating the current status of my back yard as: DISASTER ZONE. Previously I thought I had a landscaping company to perform the work, but after the bid I could only get a telephone response one time when I called.  It had been raining a lot lately but finally I gave up on the previous company due to no communications/ call back after numerous voice mails and texts.  Yesterday (Saturday 30 May 2015) I drove up to a landscaping supply company on 281 North of Overlook Parkway. The business had a million Landscaping Business cards on the bulletin board.  I described my job to the owner. I asked the owner of the business if there was any company he recommended.  He gave me only a few cards, ?Juan Estrada?s, Infinity Landscaping? being one of them.  On Saturday I started making the calls, Juan picked up and said he was in the area doing other work and would come over for the bid.  Juan rang my door bell 30 minutes later and Juan and another man measured, surveyed, quoted me a price and ordered 2 pallets of SOD for the project after I agreed on the price.    He asked me when I want to start, and I said as soon as possible.  First words out of his mouth is, OK we will start tomorrow.  He stated that he and his crew will come out Sunday to remove all surface grass and spray Round Up grass and weed killer as step one of the project before any dirt leveling takes place.  Saturday a few hours after the quote it rained hard out at my house.  I texted him while it was raining (Immediate Response from Juan).  Sunday I got up early around 7 AM, texted Juan and asked what he thought (In my mind, I could definitely understand him cancelling Sunday?s activity).  Immediate text response, he and his crew will be here at 0920 HRS.  I have just received a text from Juan he is on his way.  So Far things are going great. (Prompt, with Good communication) Crew came out on Sunday, and pulled all old tree rings out, a weed-eater the entire lawn BALD, cleaned up and left.  Monday a lot of dirt removal. Tues more dirt removal and partial Sodding, Wed Sod and tree rings, astro turf prep, Thurs tree ring adjustments (They look great) and Astro turf installation.  Totally by the time the project finished a true estimate of 4.5 yards of old sod/dirt was removed. It is now Friday, 6 days after work started, they worked every day, 2 to 3 persons and the yard and turf installation is complete except the material that you lay over the astro turf to brush in. Most every day but Sunday early to mid morning arrival and work finished up around 730 pm.  I was in daily contact with Juan during the day if something came up and spoke with him each night about progress, issues and planned activities for the next day.  There were some additional costs during the project, large cedar stump removal, and some changes made to initial plan on astro turf install due to large oak tree roots, additional digging and dirt removal.  He had to make some trips to stores to purchased additional pavers for border, landscape nails, top dressing for astro turf, Total of additional charges was $500.  Of course me being the home owner I do not like the additional charges, but I can understand.  Nobody does this kind of work for free.  Juan definitely did not get rich off this project and he and his crew busted their butts making my back yard a beautiful oasis.  I went from Disaster Zone to beautiful back yard in less than a week.  I will upload the pics to give Angie?s list members a good visual.  Today Juan will add man made top dressing and brush the astro turf. He says it gives the turf some weight and grooms it. During the project I paid $900 Sunday, $1100 Tues, and the  Final $1200 will be paid today when he comes out to finish up the project. Final Rating for Juan and his Crew.  Outstanding work, visually pleasing, at a fair price.  Note to self?I better get out there and enjoy the back yard before my dogs tear it up again.  Humm..I planned on uploading pics but can't figure out how to do it.

Recent Review: Chris Verne responded promptly to my request for an estimate and when he came out to the house, we were very pleased with his knowledge of plantings and his awareness that though the grass looked rough, he said he could help it and that we wouldn't need to replace it, which was nice to hear and helped save some money.   He listened to our ideas and came up with a creative plan and a budget that we could manage. The response time for the plan and estimate only took a few days.    His recommendations for plants that would do well in drought conditions and his ideas for how to redo our beds and add trees to the back gave us a lot of confidence that we would have a beautiful yard to enjoy for many years to come.  Chris helped take my idea of a water feature and planned it to flow very nicely with our bed and patio in the backyard.  The guys who worked on the water feature were very creative and it looks very natural, which I love. As soon as we discussed the estimate and gave our ok--we signed a contract and work began about 14 days later.  It would have been sooner, but we were waiting for our fencing to be installed and that kept us from starting right away.  Chris was very helpful with this waiting period and he sent his guys out to spray the grassy places needed for the beds  so they could begin as soon as the fencing was complete.  They also came out and marked the bed shapes and had all of the utility lines marked, as well as the sprinkler and irrigation planned.  As soon as the fence was complete, the work began.  Chris always kept me informed so I never had to wonder when things were going to happen.    The entire project took 2 full weeks, and the crew was great.  The crews cleaned as they went, always left the area neat, and any tools or equipment over the weekend ,along with  dirt or mulch, were covered and secured.    It was a great experience from beginning to end and we definitely recommend VHS.  Chris answered all of our questions in a timely way, as well as anyone I asked on his crew.   The price is in the medium range I would say--and worth every penny.   I will use them for any future landscaping needs we have.

Business Description: IN The great State of TEXAS you MUST have a license to legally repair or Install a sprinkler system. My license number is 7167 and it is in good standing. I have been licensed since April of 2000 and Irrigation is all I do. I am not a kid anymore. Graduated from Texas A&M and raised 6 beautiful children. I have been married for 28 years to one faithful women. Sub surface drip Irrigation for turf grass is THE most efficient and cost effective way to irrigate your property because the water drips at root level and is not subject to wind or immediate evaporation. A conventional pop sprays or Rotors can not even come close to sub surface drip for turf grass efficiency. Now you know. Is it more expensive to install? YES it is But well worth the extra investment with Lower water usage as compared to Conventional pop ups or Rotors, with no water running down the street. I specialize in Repair, all types of repair from replacing an old sprinkler controller to finding valves with a valve locator for a zone that no longer works to finding a broken wire out in your yard. I really enjoy Repair because it is always different and it's a challenge on some repairs. Customer Service is very very important. I ALWAYS answer my phone and I always Return calls in a timely matter if my hands are muddy and I am in a pit. I give a 5 year warranty on all parts and labor because if you know your profession then their is only one way to do it and that is the RIGHT WAY. 1st mistake was paying him 10,500.00 dollars. Was told the job would take 6 days weather permitting. Did not start job when specified . He cashed check July 23 2018 ..the job is 1/3 finished .Charged us 5000.00 for artificial turf .which we have never seen .. brought in some rock dumped it in our front yard .hired a bobcat to carry it to back the bobcat scooped up grass and all plus leaving rock on the front lawn ,,an awful mess also broke 2 slabs in the back. . HE WILL NOT ANSWER OUR PHONE CALLS OR MESSAGES and we are left with a mess .We also went to his business address (house) ...no answer ...now we have to go thru legal steps and pray we at least get some of our money back. ....have learned that the good reviews written for this business are written by his wife pretending to be a customer .. please save yourself time, $ ,and court and DON'T USE THIS COMPANY . Yours truly ,totally screwed

Hank and his crew were great to work with and were professional from start to finish. They completely transformed our yard while respecting existing trees and plants that I did not want harmed. This crew never left a mess where they worked, and all equipment and material was put away at the end of each work day. We are extremely happy with the results and are still receiving compliments from the neighbors.

This is the 2nd time we've called James for this sort of work, we had him do a similar cleanup last winter and were pleased with the results so we called again. He and his team showed up as scheduled and worked hard to complete a big job in a day. We'll likely be calling him again for our winter cleanup, if not before.

ASuperior Green Turf
I highly  Superior Green Turn and recommend Allan, Cesar, Robert, Ram and Daniel.  I wanted certain putts on the green to break certain ways and have specific speeds; lots of undulations with realistic rolling of the ball.  At each appropriate step they had me involved in the process. If you hope to have it installed without the owner being around, not recommended....Allan has a great eye and his other team members are getting experience but they handled every whim and change I gave to them and the requirements were exceeded in terms of how the ball rolls and lands on the turf.  If you are going to make a flat putting green or simply install turf to replace grass, there is no need to be around.  If however you are wanting a professional putting service with nuances/undulations that are important to you, one needs to be around to oversee the project.  Allan and his team are good but they can't read minds.  Regardless though, I'm sure if one is not happy they would make the necessary corrections.  Their pricing is hard to beat. The product line they offer is varied and the type turf I got (Augusta) was near the top of the line.  You can search around to other places and I'd recommend doing that just to prove to yourself that Superior Green Turf is the best product at the best price. BTW, the final amount paid was exactly what I contracted for....not had that happen since we moved to Fair Oaks. Happy to send pic of the final product or have you visit for a first hand look...live in Fair Oaks off of IH-10.  raw101015@gmail.com  Glad to promote a great new business that will make your backyard (or front) look great.  Wish I could upload a shot of it now.
