Reviews in San Antonio to Inspect Crawl Space

ARod Inspects
My overall experience was great. Rod the inspector was on time, he wore booties and explained the process thoroughly. He also allowed me to shadow him except roof and crawl space. I had the report in record time waiting for me in my email. Kudos.

Mr. Skinner (I believe now working for his own company: Skinner's Inspections) did a fantastic job. He took lots of highly informative photos, found lots of issues ranging from small to fairly serious, and wrote up a detailed report that documented each issue very well. We are first time homeowners and we asked a million questions. He gave clear, informative answers to everything and was never less than perfectly patient. We would use him again without a second thought, and we couldn't recommend him more highly.

Answered my phone message the next day, and scheduled for 2 days later. Arrived promptly. Very Friendly. Incredibly thorough. (I have had 2 other inspectors for other homes, and this is far and away the best.) We spent over 4.5 hours. He teaches the Home Inspection Certification course on weekends, and he taught me by showing stuff as we went. I learned a lot about wiring, wood, window repair, gas plumbing, foundations, drainage, roofs, paneling, etc. He did not view the roof from the street as others do. Instead, he climbed up and walked the _entire_ roof looking for every defect and signs of damage & wear. At the end, he provided a binder of info & resources for home buyers, and by 9 AM the next day, I had his 28 page report (PDF) via email. For every defect, there was a clear photo showing the problem. The price was same as advertised on the website; he took off $20 for paying at the site with a check!

Inspector was very relaxed and receptive to all questions. They have a very good reporting system which let me access the report months after it had been performed. Caught all the small stuff like roofing nails and toilet instability even though it works fine. They are a little heavy handed on the reviews, but they are worth the 5 star rating.

Larry was very professional, he was very knowledgeable and performed a thorough inspection of the home. If there was anything we were unfamiliar with he took the time to explain it to us. We really enjoyed that he also took time to point out what types of trees and plants were present on the property and gave pointers on maintaining and improving the landscape. We definitely would recommend Larry to anyone and would use him again in the future. .

AWoodenThumb Home Inspection, LLC
Mike Morissette of WoodenThumb is outstanding and we would definitely recommend to anyone needing any type of inspection or home-related consultation. He's very thorough, detail-oriented and knowledgeable. We've used him three times: for the initial home inspection, for a follow-up inspection on a newly installed roof and for a home maintenance consultation. During the pre-purchase home inspection, he walked the roof and found that approximately half of the shingles had not been fully glued down during the original installation in 2016. We worked with our realtor to negotiate a new roof install as a part of the purchase. If Mike had not walked the entire roof during the inspection, the problem would not have been found. He also re-inspected the new roof after installation and identified a couple of minor issues that we then had fixed before closing. We asked Mike to come back a month later to walk us through the key maintenance items for our home. He took us through each area, explaining step-by-step how and when to perform the needed maintenance. We've been homeowners for over 25 years and got new and useful tips and info to keep our home healthy and well-maintained.

Recent Review: I cannot say enough about Jeff’s knowledge excellent pricing and service! He was very thorough and patiently walked me through all of the defects that he found. He was extremely supportive while I was working through the corrections with the builder (which is a very daunting task.) He took many calls from me immediately and kept checking on me through the process. I feel that with his help and support I was able to get the builder to correct my build and make it a much safer place to live. Thanks to Jeff I now feel confident that my forever home will last a lifetime! I tell everyone about him... Thanks Jeff!!!

Recent Review: I wanted a pre-sale inspection of my home to ensure there would be no surprises once I put it on the market. I contact Good Guys based on their Angie's List reviews and was not disappointed. John called me within hours of sending them an email through their web site and we made an appointment that fit my schedule. He showed up on time, explained what he would do and how he would do it, and got right to work. I tagged along and he explained what he was looking for each step of the way. He was very patient and taught me more about the house in the four hours he was there than I knew from living there over 10 years. Fortunately, there were no major issues but John gave me some great tips and advice on what should be fixed, addressed, modified, and corrected before I put the house up for sale. More importantly, he offered to come back at no additional charge and re-inspect any areas I fixed to ensure the work was done properly and to code. I received his professional report with full color pictures the next day.
