Recent Review: Mike did a great job, was easy to deal with, and asked for input to ensure satisfaction with the work.  Installation of the cedar framed patio structure was especially challenging, considering the radius involved to partially incorporate a large existing circular planter. Mike made sure all work was done timely and professionally down to the final details, finish, and cleanup.

Recent Review: It went amazingly smoothly.  The initial appointment for the free estimate was made and kept.  Mr. Peters showed up on time and we discussed exactly what I needed done.  He provided me a written estimate of the job and proposed start and completion dates. The work began on the estimated date with a meeting of the job supervisor (Tommy) and myself.  The contracts were signed and the initial payment made.  Tommy then met with all of the subcontractors.   A complete walk through was conducted with all the subcontractor supervisors to ensure that each group understood exactly what was expected of them and the schedule of work. A problem was found almost from the start when the electrical panel was determined to be commercial grade instead of the expected residential.  There was no way to have seen this before the wall was opened.  Also the location to which the panel was scheduled to be moved to was changed because the wall I had chosen to put it on would not work.  This was my design fault, but LSSC, Tommy, and RJ Electric worked around the problems and quickly found a better location for the box. The work was completed on time and was amazing!  Tommy made sure I was happy with the results and I have to hand it to Elias and his crew.  The house is more than 80 years old and was NOT level by any stretch of the immagination.  Getting the doors to hang correctly in an uneven wall is an art, and they did an amazing job.  A month later, I had the entire foundation replaced and those uneven walls ended up being strait again.  When the doors didn't open or close any more LSSC sent out their home repair guy who re-hung them and made sure they worked. I could not be happier with their work ethics or performance.  They will be starting a large job for me next Monday.  I feel so confident in their work that they will take the roof off the house, re-frame walls, and put a new roof on while I am out of the country and only able to contact them by e-mail.  That is how comfortable you will feel working with Don, Dave, and Tommy.

Recent Review: Installing this system in a finished basement presents some unique challenges and potential surprises that could increase the cost of the project over and above the original estimate.  That was the case with our project and there was some miscommunication between the company's representatives and me.  As with most communication problems neither of us was totally blameless nor totally at fault.  I finally called the owner to resolve my issues.  He listened to my side of the dispute as well as to his staff and came up with a logical explanation and a satisfactory compromise.   I can recommend Tomorrow's Home Solutions without hesitation for unfinished basements.  The crews that did the work were experienced, friendly, and always on time.   For finished basements, I'd recommend THS with the following caution:  be prepared for some potential unanticipated expenses.  Make sure you carefully read any changes to the original contract and understand the implications and costs of those changes.  If you don't understand or agree with the changes, don't hesitate to contact the owner. Mike is very reasonable, fair, and committed to customer satisfaction.

THEY INSTALLED A WATERPROOFING SYSTEM IN AUGUST OF 2003. MONTHS LATER, IT OBVIOUSLY WASN'T PERFORMING SATISFACTORILY. THEY CAME AND REVIEWED THE ORIGINAL WORK, AND THEY DETERMINED THAT THEY DID THE ORIGINAL WORK INCORRECTLY. THEY MADE PLANS TO INSTALL ADDITIONAL WHITE WALL. AFTER DELAYS, THEY DID THE ADDITIONAL WORK, AND WE STILL EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS. THEY DECIDED THAT WHITE WALL WOULD HAVE TO BE INSTALLED THROUGHOUT THE BASEMENT. WE AGREED TO REMOVE EXISTING PANELING, EXCEPT FOR A FEW AREAS WE HAD QUESTIONS ABOUT. THEY SAID THAT THERE WERE PROBLEMS REINSTALLING THE DROP CEILING. THE WORKER SPOKE WITH THE OFFICE, AND I THOUGHT THEY HAD FOUND A SOLUTION. NOW THAT THE WORK IS DONE, IT'S VISUALLY HORRIBLE. THEY DIDN'T TAKE THE TIME TO EXPLAIN WHAT THEY WOULD BE DOING. IF THEY HAD, I COULD HAVE MADE MY OBJECTIONS BEFORE THE DEED WAS DONE. NOW, THEY SIMPLY SAY THAT THEY FIXED THE MOISTURE ISSUES, AND THEY WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR RUINING THE LOOK OF OUR FINISHED BASEMENT.
