Recent Review: 15 year old home intercom system failed. Cost to replace- thousands. Utility, minimal. Decided to remove it, decided not to do it myself due to the electrical aspect of the job, didn't know where it was powered from. Had two estimates of 500-600 dollars, but wasn't satisfied with the professionalism of the contractors I spoke to. Went to Angie's, found Mr. Handyman, called and spoke to Peter Hashimoto. Great call (all my experiences with Peter on the phone were very cordial and professional), he understood the limitations of my work schedule (airline pilot- things change frequently), and was willing to work with me. Jason came out, did great work, it took three visits due to availability (both of us) and paint bubbling on one patch. He did it right, was friendly, professional, and very competent. ON TIME- to the minute. When he was supposed to show at 8 AM, that's when the knock on the door came- on all three visits, very refreshing to find that promptness! My one complaint was when the local office was too busy to answer the phone and my call bounced to the national call center for Mr. Handyman. The operator I had the misfortune of speaking to several times- Dominique - was a big pain, every time. Not going to go into details (except to say I have spoken to Peter in detail about her), but Mr. Handyman would do well to find someone else to handle that job. I'll use Mr. Handyman again, no question.
