Recent Review: I hesitated to write this review, because I don't want people to take advantage of this gentleman's helpful nature. However, I decided to write it, because I really want to share what a wonderful experience I had with him and I think in the end, it will benefit his business rather than hurt it. I called London Sweeps a couple weeks before Christmas of 2017. I had turned my gas pilot light off for the first time in four years, to save energy costs over the summer, and I could not get the flame to come back on. I had read numerous articles on troubleshooting and had watched several youtube videos. I took the dang thing apart, glass, logs and all, and tried to fix it myself. I sprayed compressed air into the pilot hole among other various tips I learned online. Nothing. When I called London Sweeps, the gentleman (I refer to him as "the gentleman" because I've lost my notes with his name) answered, but informed me he was on a job and with a customer and would call me back. He did as he said, and when I explained my problem to him, he told me he was so busy that he wouldn't be able to get out to my house until after the holidays. I told him I had hoped to have the fireplace working for Christmas gatherings, but I understood and would accept his earliest appointment. He so kindly offered to try to walk me through the problem on the phone and picked a day and time that would work for the both of us. I called several days later, on the agreed upon time, and the gentleman took my call as promised, even though he was at another customer's home. He spent 25 patient minutes with me, walking me through many steps and troubleshooting. He never once gave up and tried to end the call or acted impatient. In the end, he solved my problem and my fireplace came on. He was very knowledgeable and didn't ask for a penny from me for his time. Again, I don't want to encourage people using his services for free, by sharing this, but he absolutely came across as an honest, upstanding guy who knew his business.
