He came back and presented drawings to be approved. We were kept informed on the progress every step of the way. Without question, this is the best work that we have every had at our house.

Recent Review: We ultimately did not use Robco based on a better price from a competitor. This was not an easy decision to make. Robco presented itself very convincingly and professionally online, and David was an absolute pleasure to deal with. The combination of service, knowledge and effort for just the estimating process was refreshing. They would be on our list if we seek any other work.

FStructurally Speaking LLC
Update - - Filed a complaint with both BBB and NC Attorney General  - current BBB rating  "F" Update - Third party review of deck issue - 9/12/2015 :    Faulty deck due to design/workmanship - Third party evaluations identified poor workmanship and design which caused the material (deck fascia) to fail. Fascia installed incorrectly - now require removal of existing fascia / new deck boards/design / materials/labor to fix deck Wife and  I liked the design of the deck and that is where it stops! - Great design - poor workmanship/materials!   Jim lacked a knowledge of the right materials to do the job and now we have a defective product  - Warped fascia board all throughout my entire deck.. He did replace the fascia once, but with the same results . now he does not want to support me in my efforts to get it fixed again- either through new material selection or financial recovery from Timbertech. I had to independently file a claim with Timbertech without his direct support. I am am high and dry with a defective deck and out $20K - THANKS JIM! As a contractor, who was generously compensated,  he should have stand behind his product and worked to correct the issue - instead of walking way from the repeating design/material problem. Jury is still out on why all the fascia board warped: a) Poor material selection for location/type of deck (tree droppings / moisture/ sunlight)   - Jim knew location details this ahead of time - trees/sunlight etc. As an engineer/designer - he should have researched his material selection and chose according to environment. b) Poor workmanship - fascia incorrectly installed causing warping (screws too tight causing warping)  - Jim lacked direct supervision of his "contracted"  Hispanic laborers  - language barrier too. He agreed first pass install was not properly installed - replaced  fascia once and same warping results! c) Poor deck design for install placement of fascia  - Design does not protect Fascia seams from moisture/leaves exposure to warping,  talking with others - seems the fascia seems should be somewhat protected from moisture seepage   - design/install does not protect seams d) Defective materials from Supplier (Timbertech) - while Jim did get fascia replaced once (cause he though his original  install caused the warping)  - he used the same replacement materials with the same warping outcome - now has totally  walked away from problem!  Not gonna do any more for you!   - THANKS JIM For any of these issues - the contractor should be professional and take responsibility to work with his client to remedy. Jim has failed !

Josh was fantastic.  I contacted him to come out and provide an estimate for a deck we wanted built in a "dead space" beside the house.  He came as scheduled, discussed what we wanted done, asked questions, made suggestions and provided a quote 3 days later as promised.  We agreed to the price and scheduled the work for early November.  Josh and his crew showed up as scheduled and did a fantastic job.  The work was done on schedule and on budget and we'll definitely use Thomas Trades again.  I have Josh doing estimates for 2 more projects we want done.  We can't speak highly enough about Josh, his knowledge, his professionalism and of course his skills.

ANorth Carolina Exteriors
Excellent. Hardest workers. I waited to write this review. The deck is almost 5 months. Just gorgeous. The company was very responsive when we wanted changes. I used my existing foundation and they replaced all exposed wood, built steps, huge lattice, built me a big plater box. I think I spent about $12,000. It was worth every penny. Best construction company I've ever worked with.

CEast Coast Builders
Case Description: Estimate that was provided for a two-part construction/painting job was not honored for the second part. On October 19, 2017, Phil provided an email estimate for a two-part job, totaling $1200 for building deck stairs, $1500 for staining the steps and adjacent deck and front porch, and a $200 discount on the total job based on NCState/HomeMag. On October 24, 2017, Phil provided an email estimate for the first part of the job, which was for $1200. We paid it and the work for the first part of the job started on October 25. At the time, I was concerned about the lack of discount applied to the first part of the job and Phil said not to worry, he would still honor it. Phil advised us to pick a stain color and he would put us on the schedule. I contacted him on February 9, 2018 to ask when we could be put on the schedule. He responded on Feb 13, 2018 to pick out the stain and we would be on the schedule for March, depending on the weather. On March 25, 2018, I contacted Phil to let him know we had picked a stain. Today, March 27, 2018 he provided a contract for the second part of the job, i.e. deck/stairs/porch painting/staining. It was for $1500. I inquired about the discount that was in the original quote, thinking that he just forgot about it. Instead, I got this reply: "The discount was if you did them at the same time not 6 months later." I wrote: "At the time when you finished the first part of the job, I asked and you said it would still be honored." His reply: "Not 6 months later. If you don't want us to do the staining that's fine." I inquired: "If I provide the same coupon I provided then would you honor the coupon?" His reply: "No. I think you find someone else." My reply: "It's been 5 months since the original contract and I did contact you after the holidays in February to get started which is when you said March - it has been snowing and raining since then..." His reply: "Fantastic. That offer was made in 2017. Since then the prices on labor and materials have gone up. I never give out a price that is good for more than 30 days. Good luck with everything but don't contact us again" Not only was the response from the owner extremely rude but it is clear to me now that he never intended to honor the coupon as the original contract stated. In addition, there is no part of the contracts he provided that states that the prices are only valid for 30 days. I hope that by starting this complaint others are not duped in the same way.

ADECKS BY ALL MEANS
MY DECK IS AWESOME and I owe it all to Decks by All Means. We needed a deck on a challenging site and Bob and his team came through for us. They approached the problem creatively while being sensitive to our needs and our budget. The team was professional, courteous, thorough and talented. When weather interrupted work, Bob always communicated the status of our project so we never felt like we were forgotten. The finished deck is beautiful and sturdy - it looks better than I could have imagined it. Even now, months later I find myself noticing small, thoughtful details in how the deck constructed. Bob knows how a deck is supposed to go together! He is the man to call.

AApex DeckSavers
Services and value provided by Apex DeckSavers got 10 of 10 stars from my wife and I. Charlie owns and operates a thoroughly professional company. He currently specializes in restoring, refinishing wood decks. Our experience was by the book superb from beginning to end. All work done on schedule, completely. The end product was a the conversion of a peeling, cracked, blotchy deck into a wonderful, pleasant deck that I love sitting one again! This was one of the few times that I sincerely felt that I had underpaid for the quality of work done. My wife and I both refused to take a discount for posting a review. After all was done Charlie recommended that we wait before trying to stain the deck. So when was the last time you heard someone recommend waiting to perform additional services? I am hoping that Charlie expands his services as there are many more we can use.

ARobco Fence and Deck LLC
I called and spoke to the very nice young lady on the phone and made the appointment for Robco Fence and Deck to come out and give me an estimate for my project. Andrew came out on time and was very easy to work with. He asked me several questions to get an idea of exactly what I wanted and took some measurements.  The estimate came back in right in the middle of the other estimates but it was much more detailed and professional.  The 3D renderings were very impressive and gave me a real feel of what to expect.  I thought if they spent this much time and attention to detail with a quote then they must do the same building decks.  I was equally impressed with the craftsmanship of my new deck!  The process went extremely smooth from the demo to the final inspection.  I give them AAA+

Bob and his crew did an excellent job on my new deck. He responded in a timely manner to texts and calls. He and his crew were punctual and professional. I would both recommend DBAM and hire them again.

AFairway Home Detailing, Inc.
I'd marked this company as a Favorite a couple of years ago after reading stellar reviews and learning that they use a low pressure system for washing homes. When the estimate was done (at our home), I knew I wanted to go with them and spoke to the office later that day to set up a date. It was going to be a couple of weeks out due to their schedule, but that was fine. I received a call the next day that they had had a cancellation for that week and would I be interested in having the services performed then. I said yes, and the crew showed up right on the agreed time. They were all very professional and courteous, answered all questions I had, gave me good tips on certain things I could do to help maintain the exterior of the home, and did a great job on the roof, siding and deck.  The entire process from start to finish was amazing. I was surprised by what a great job they did of keeping in touch with us throughout and even following up with a Thank You card when the work was completed. They are great group of people to work with; I can't recommend them highly enough!

ATriangle Home Care
We used Triangle Home Care. We were very please with the results.  They did wood rot restoration of a wood deck, windowsills, and a front porch. All the projects were done in the prescribed about of time. They were prompt and professional. The restoration work was outstanding. The quality was as good or better than the original woodwork. I would hire them again without reservation.
