Recent Review: This was an all day job. We had two Crawl Spaces that were filled with 'junk' from the previous owner, they cleaned it all out, leveled out the soil and Encapsulated them both.    After completing the crawl spaces, they removed the old sump from the house's previous owner (found out it was installed with a laundry basket, lucky us).  They installed their TripleSafe with the battery backup and we love it.  After the last few rain storms, we realized it was the best money spent.  So far, no water in our basement.  Jay,our sales rep, had extensive knowledge in basement water issues and I felt no pressure to buy when he came over.  The install team was great and did not leave until everything was perfect. They were all on time and the project was on budget as promised. Everyone from the sales rep, install team, and the office team on the phone is exteremly professional and never thought I was been taken advance of and pushed to buy things I did not need.  I highly recommend this company.

Recent Review: This is a very professional group. The field stone foundation was filled with cement, the floor joists replaced and new lolly columns installed. Then they poured a cement floor on the dirt side of the cellar. The crawl spaces were lined with a vapor barrier. A drain was installed around the interior perimeter of the cellar and a pump placed that drains to the exterior. We are so pleased with our new space. They were able to finish ahead of schedule and the cost was very close to the estimate. I would recommend this company unconditionally.

Recent Review: My husband and I had used Ocean State Air Solutions earlier in the year to install a dehumidifier and were very happy with their work.  We are hoping to insulate our crawlspace before the weather gets too cold and we wanted to have it encapsulated before putting in the insulation.  I contacted Craig and we made arrangements to have the work done on October 18th.  Anthony and Sam arrived right on time, they laid down a protective paper on our hardwood floors where they were walking in and out of the house.  They explained what they were doing and they worked non-stop while they were here.  Our crawlspace looks great--just like the picture on their website.  And for the first time I can stick my head in the crawlspace without being overwhelmed by a musty odor.  Craig stopped by while Anthony and Sam were working to make sure everything was going well and to answer any additional questions I had.  When Anthony and Sam were done they left the house looking as clean as when they came--I really appreciate that level of respect.

AOCEAN STATE AIR SOLUTIONS
I first called Craig Clark at Ocean State Air Solutions in March 2013 to ask him to help us take care of a crawl space that was not sealed properly.  Craig promptly scheduled an appointment to come to our house on March 26th to take a look at the problem.  Craig arrived on time and was very friendly.  He looked at the crawl space and the rest of the basement and made suggestions as to how we could remedy the odor and high humidity issues we were having.  His suggestions included properly encapsulating the crawl space to prevent the musty odor from coming up from the dirt floor of the crawl space (we currently just have a thin vapor shield that does not do the job during the humid summer months).  He also suggested installing a large dehumidifier with ductwork that would remove moisture from the air and circulate the air in the crawl space so that mold does not grow (we were running a small dehumidifier that couldn't keep up with the moisture level).  He took the time to explain each suggestion in great detail and he presented different options for both the dehumidifier and encapsulation materials.  He also mentioned we could easier install additional insulation in the crawl space once it was encapsulated--although this is something his company does he gave me instructions on how we could do it ourselves to save money.  When he left he said he would e-mail me a detailed estimate the following day. True to his word, Craig e-mailed me an estimate on March 27th with all the information we had gone over.  After my husband and I looked over it, we realized we could not afford to do all of the work at once.  We chose to install the dehumidifier first and encapsulate the crawlspace as soon as we could afford it.  I spoke to Craig about our choice and he understood why we were going with the dehumidifier first.  He did inform us that the dehumidifier only would not get rid of the odor, but it would insure that no mold would grow.  I explained I understood we would have to put up with the odor and we were fine with that as long as we knew we wouldn't have a mold issue.  He than placed an order for the dehumidifier and said he would contact us to schedule the installation once it arrived. He called once they received the unit and scheduled an appointment for April 16th.  On that day two of his employees came to install the dehumidifier and ductwork.  They arrived on time, they were friendly, and very informative.  The process was quick and they cleaned up completely after they were finished.  Craig also came during the installation process to check on everything and make sure I was happy with the work. We have had the dehumidifier running for four months now and I couldn't be happier!  Especially considering the humid month of July we had I was very pleased with the performance of the system.  Having the water removed automatically from the dehumidifier to the exterior of the house is wonderful.  This allowed us to keep the system running even when we were on vacation.  I am even able to have the water drain into a watering can so I can use the water to water my plants.  Although we do still have an odor issue, it has been kept in check by this system--the odor last year with our small dehumidifier was much worse. We look forward to working with Ocean State Air Solutions in the future.

AOCEAN STATE AIR SOLUTIONS
We had an unfinished crawl space under several room additions at house we recently purchased. We kew there were various types of mold from our home inspection. I contacted Craig from Ocean State Air who promptly responded and perfromed additional inspections. The most difficult part about our crawl space was that there was less than 6 inches of space between the beams and the ground. So the whole area had to be hand excavated out in order to gain access throughout the 700 SF space. Complicating things further was that the only access to the area was out back where you had to pass through our garage to get there. While outside his normal area of expertise, Craig formulated a plan of renting conveyor belts and small machinery that would just fit through the spaces to exavate approx 30 cubic yards of material out from under the house. Once that was complete, the moldy fiberglass insulation had to all be removed, the area treated for mold, reinsulated with spray foam, and the dimpleshield and crawlshield products installed. Finally, a dehumidifier for the entire crawl space and basement was installed. Craig and his staff communicated exceptionally well on plans, schedule, and when they needed access to the house. They were all very courteous and professional and worked extremely hard in very cramped and difficult conditions. Craig took measures to keep areas as clean as possible given the work and did a fantastic job. I've been having alot of work done on the new house and Craig is the only contractor who has come in under budget. While this was a high cost for a crawl space, the majority of the cost was for renting equipment and excavating out all the material to gain access to the space.

APioneer Basement
They advice, and had all our questions answered on sensible and affordable options. Very knowledgeable, prompt, polite, efficient, and thorough team! We are happy with their waterproofing services in our basement (fast sump pump and a grate trench with a discharge line that goes 15 feet to the outside bubbler) as well as crawl space shield installed under our addition. It works well, and Pioneer checked a month later and a year after for inspection and cleaning. A+ work and workers.

AOCEAN STATE AIR SOLUTIONS
I initially contacted Craig Clark in October 2011. We recently purchased a home that had had obvious water problems in the basement, so we wanted to get an assessment of the extent of mold problems and other health hazards. Craig proposed a solution and sent a quote for the job. We didn't get around to starting the job until the next year because there were still lingering water infiltration problems that only got solved after we replaced the old gutters and downspouts. When I contacted Craig to schedule the job, he quoted me the same price as the previous year. His crew took about 3 days to complete the job with some intermittent down time to wait for delivery of the dehumdifier unit. They set up a negative air pressure system, and sealed of the entry to the house. They then meticulously inspected all areas of the basement for mold, removed all materials that could not be salvaged, and cleaned and  treated all remaining framing members with anti-microbial sealant. Finally, they installed the dehumidifier unit and associated duct work. When all was done, they left the place cleaner than they found it. Overall, Craig and his crew did an outstanding job, and I'm very satisfied with the results.

ADennis Diffley Drain Services
Dennis came by promptly and gave an estimate on price and on when the work would be done. They were able to get the job done a week early (because parts for the drain channel came in on time and they has a space in their schedule). The team (led by Dennis' son) came on the day specified and on time and worked steadily until it was done (and done correctly). They swept up the footprints (rock dust and cement dust and whatever) tracked between the basement door and garage door. They even set up the dehumidifier I bought so it drains into the sealed sump directly. The installation meets the buyer's requirements and looks nice. It's definitely an upgrade for the basement space. Carol (the owner and Dennis' mom) and her office team were also a pleasure to work with on this basement waterproofing job. Since the office was less than 2 miles away from our home and time was short, I went there to execute the contract and place the deposit (rather than waiting for the postal service). You can contract and schedule remotely (via phone, mail, etc.) but then you wouldn't have the pleasure of meeting a team that loves their business and wants to do right by the customers.
