Recent Review: Met with D (Damiel) after receiving several bids for the work. We discussed the job and D took measurements and photos of existing trim for matching. Work began and, to be expected, we ran in to a couple snags which added time and complexity to the job. D and I did some joint problem solving and came up with some creative, and in the end, satisfying solutions to the problems. To get the job done, D had excellent help from his son Demren (also known as 'D', but NOT 'Little D'), who did a spectacular job taping and mudding the interior bedroom wall (no sanding required!), and also from Lee who did a great job on the interior finish window trim. D and his crew were all engaging and expressive and a pleasure to work with. These guys get it done and I would certainly work with them again.
Recent Review: This company was easy to get a hold of, good at getting back me, did amazing work, and is someone I would look to hire again. I had pieces and sections of baseboards that were missing and or hopelessly dysfunctional. A Better Carpenter came in figured out all the details of matching old trim and making all look like new again. They were also efficient, polite, and fast. I had to call a lot of contractors and handymen who didn't work out before hand. It worked out though because I was very happy with this company and its work.

Recent Review: Before meeting with Ron Dimmitt, we obtained several other estimates for replacement windows and installation. Ron's recommended window suggestions for our home was not only the best solution but also much less than all other estimates making it a very affordable solution. Of course, first thing was to measure for the windows, which was precisely done in order to get a perfect fit. Windows (and two patio sliding doors) were ordered and delivered to our home. They were here the next day to install. Old windows were removed, hauled away, new windows and doors were installed. Then, both exterior and interior trim was replaced. All workmanship was superb...everything from carpentry to the caulking. Some of the door and window openings were not level from the house settling some, so we were very pleased to have an experienced contractor who knows how to deal with all construction issues. Love the new windows, but even more, the excellence of the installation. Happy campers here!

Recent Review: This was a totally satisfactory experience from initial design consultation, which occurred two days after the first phone call, to the bid, which was quite reasonable and presented me with options that allowed me to control the cost; to the execution, which occurred within two weeks. Charlie Riggs arrived when he said he would; worked diligently to complete the project; kept the work site cleaned up at the end of each day; and proved resourceful and fastidious in solving the unpredictable problems that an old house inevitably poses to the finish carpenter. Charlie went the extra mile in doing the little things that weren't specified in the contract but which tied in the project in a pleasing way. For example, he removed the top board of the stairwell so that he could miter in the stairwell nosing on either side of the landing; then, replaced the board, gluing it down, countersinking screws and leaving it more secure than its original condition. He left me with detailed instructions on how to stain and finish the project, more evidence that he genuinely cares about the integrity of his work. The end result is an elegantly crafted, visually pleasing addition to my home.
Recent Review: Max is a good listener and asks appropriate questions about each project. He never steam-rolls. He maintains an admirable balance between design (his fine arts background is a bonus) and grounded practicality. Max encouraged us whenever possible to use recycled materials and wood/fixtures that we already had on hand. He joined us at the Rebuilding Center where we found a beautiful faucet and a great set of cabinets that Max configured in surprising ways to create an attractive and functional laundry room. We hoped to make our basement more cozy by adding some wood wainscoting, but had a limited amount of seasoned fir. Max did a great job in designing and installing varied height wainscoting that maximized every bit of available wood. We are very happy with the result. Our old casement windows in the front of the house were drafty and funky. The two new windows that Max installed now flank the original picture window; they look and work great. He re-used the old hardware and took care to stain the wood carefully to match new to old. Besides appreciating Max's competence and talent, we are also very comfortable with him personally. Max is friendly, calm, direct and reasonable. I enthusiastically recommend him to anyone that is searching for an excellent contractor.

This man is extraordinarily slow and pokey. It took him a half hour to "set up," even though only two tools, a cutoff saw and a power nailer, were required for most of the work. Then his performance in nailing up the moulding was very slow. Unfortunately, this slowness wasn't didn't result in extra good work. The man I called in to finish the job had to rip out some of Zack's work because it wasn't done right, and some of the joints in the moulding were not neatly done. He did a fair job in installing the trim around the semi-circular window, which was a difficult job for several reasons, but he had no idea how to compute the approximate length of moulding needed, and it wouldn't have come out right if I hadn't climbed up the ladder to double-check his measurements. His price was, by agreement, based on an hourly rate, which I originally thought was reasonable, but when I discovered how long everything took, turned out to be unreasonable. He charged me when he had to go home to pick up a tool (a sawzall, I think) that he probably should have had with him. I wasn't very happy with his ultimate bill, but far more annoying was the quality of his work, which I would consider "fair" or a little less. "Adequate," I'd say. Cerrtainly no more than that.

It was perfect! This is the second time I have used Next Day Moulding. I also had them replace all the baseboards at another house. Each experience was great.

Great! The melamine I chose was cut and fitted into the spot and moulding trimmed the outer edge out to finish it off. Looks nice and is more sturdy.

ACARPENTRY HOME SERVICES LLC
Rick was excellent, he fought traffic twice and came on time to show us samples. Being that we had no experience in this area we ended up not getting the work done due to being at the end of our house fixing up budget, although I believe his pricing is quite fair. He was professional through the whole experience, even after telling him we wouldn't be getting the work done. I would recommend him to others and I would use him in the future.

AGronholm Remodeling, LLC
This is the third time working with Steve and it will not be the last. We had him work on various house projects and have always been happy with his professionalism and dedication to quality. This project involved picking up custom baseboard from McCoys ( great place to get custom trim and wood work), staining the baseboard and installing in 3 rooms, a hall and a stair landing. Trimming the base and sides of various doors so they would close better and trimming sticky cabinet doors.

Kory was able to schedule are job the next day! Yeah! Jason arrived on time and went right to work on our pocket door. He was quick and solved the problem by gently removing some moulding and retrieving the item blocking the pocket door. You cannot even tell where he worked on the moulding. Then he trimmed our three doors and you cannot tell. Love this company and would highly recommend

We're preparing to put our home up for sale and hired Boyce Home Maintenance to patch walls, remove wallpaper, prime/paint, install new door handles, update bathroom hardware, repair baseboard moulding and fix some minor electrical issues. They were very professional, did a great job, and cleaned up everything at the end of each work day. Communication and follow-up from the estimate through completion of all projects was excellent.
