Recent Review: I just got off the phone with Glenn from Oregon Insect and Rodent Control. While he doesn't service my area, Glenn spent about 10 minutes evaluating my rodent problem and redirecting me to the appropriate people. Glenn even provided me with information about duct cleaning. He was professional and very well informed. I'm certain he saved me a lot of money and time. I would highly recommend Glenn for those in his service area.
Recent Review: Ryan was a pleasure to work with and has helped us with our rat issue. Several rats were caught in the traps and I do not hear loud noises in the attic anymore. The bait stations seem to be working as well. Thank you for the fantastic service, Ryan! It has been a pleasure!
Recent Review: I found Pete on Yelp and Angie's List. I especially liked that he is a one man company, the only person you will deal with. He answers the phone within 2 rings every time. He has visited our house every 4 - 7 days for the past month, eliminating the rats and mice, and offering advice and baiting to our neighbor who has chickens. (Beware if you or your neighbor has chickens, there are rats eating the food and feces, and they are looking for the driest, warmest place to live.) He found the entry point in the foundation wall around the sewer pipe, and filled with concrete. (The reason we heard noises when the furnace was turned on was Pete explained rats like heat, first the crawl space, then on top of the heating ducts. Our ducts are flexible fiberglass that a rat could accidentally claw through, and be running through our entire duct system, makes me sick thinking about it.) He charges one flat fee, does not ask for another dime. He calls me every appointment to let me know he is enroute, with ETA of 10 - 20 minutes. Turns out my older daughter used Pete 2 years ago for carpenter ants on a referral from someone at her husband's work. Pete found mice in her crawl space, set her up with traps and advice at no extra charge. I asked Pete about a product I saw on the internet for stuffing in holes that rodents won't chew. He said he had a sample box, would give it to me at no cost, brought it next visit. I can not imagine anyone I would trust more when confronted with something as scary as rats in your crawlspace.
Recent Review: Jay arrived as promised, and walked with me through the house to look at the areas where I'd been hearing or seeing evidence of mice. He pointed out a couple of areas where they were probably gaining access, and applied bait in my crawlspace and in the kitchen wall. He also told me that he saw old evidence of rat activity, which I was aware of, but that there didn't appear to be a problem currently. I told him that I had eliminated what I thought had attracted them, and he agreed. He was efficient and thorough and answered all my questions. He offered additional services and a warranty, which I declined, but there wasn't any pressure to buy. I'm happy with the service and hopeful that mice will soon be just a memory!
Recent Review: Very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s not fun to hear you have rats in your walls but the Get Smart folks delivered the message with humor and a lot of insightful information on the why and how to get rid of the pests.
Recent Review: Nothing short of stellar service from Portland Pest Guard. We had a roof rat living in our attic; Sean arrived to place traps, but also made a thorough inspection of the house and potential holes where the rat was entering. He followed up with multiple visits to the house to check on traps he put in the attic. This is unrelated to the service provided, but he also alerted me of some flashing issues on our roof. He was awesome to work with, and I definitely recommend him for pest control.
John was punctual and knew exactly how to look for mice and where. I thought I had a rat but he determined it was mice. He set traps as was diligent about returning to check them and to encourage me to keep at it, even though none were caught in the first 10 days. He has a minimum price of course, but offered to reduce it when it appeared the problem (and his time) were less than originally thought. I had serious mice problems two years ago and wish I'd known of this service at the time.

Brandon and his crew are on top of their game. They have studied the logic as to how rats think and move. This allows them to strategically place bait stations that move the activity away from the house. This is the fourth exterminator we have hired. I assure you, you need not look any further.

AOhana Pest Control
Ohana is the best!! Jeff is rapidly getting rid of our rat problem, and he goes way beyond what I would have expected ? he makes weekly visits and has told us repeatedly that if anything shows up in our traps we should call him to take care of it before the next visit. Besides being totally happy with the service, we love Jeff. He's friendly, funny, knowledgable and just generally a pleasure to be around :)

Brandon and his son Asher were both professional and knowledgeable. As you can imagine it’s not a pleasant experience learning your family home is infested with dear mice! This is a family ran business and they treat you like family. They are caring and knowledgeable and concerned about your problem. They went above and beyond and visited us on the weekends and late evenings ( best for our schedule) and took care of the problem. I’ll recommend them to anyone that is faced with infestations.

FEdge Pest Control
Claimed the Angie's List coupon for "Rodent Treatment" for $109.00 on my lunch hour at work.. Within an hour the calls and texts started. 3 calls while I was in a meeting, I did not list any time frame of "Immediate contact" or need. Then a text explaining Edge Pest Control wanted to talk to me about my inquiry. I returned the text very clearly, "In a meeting at work, will call you after 3:00 p.m." At 3:00 p.m. another call and another text. High pressure doesn't even begin to describe this company's service. I called the second number that was listed, they had two contact numbers, that was already making me suspicious. Went through the sales pitch, they quoted me a price $20 more than the "deal" that I just claimed, knew this was a shady company at that point. Wanted me to sign up for a year of service, non-refundable and of course asked for a credit card number from me. At this point I hadn't even confirmed an appointment date yet. I don't give out credit card numbers BEFORE any service is done, ended the conversation and asked them not to contact me anymore. 2 more phone calls came in from this company before I blocked the number from my phone. 6 calls in 2 hours. You decide, worst company I have ever dealt with on Angie's List and I have multiple reviews on here.

Kevin called on his way over as promised and showed up at the exact time quoted! He was very professional, gave me some suggestions, added the mice bait as greed upon, talked about possible carpenter ant treatment (if we see them) and left.

ANature First Pest Control Inc
We decided to call an exterminator after unsuccessfully attempting to trap the rat(s) in a live trap. I selected Nature First Pest Control after reading the many positive reviews on Angie?s list. Nature First was able to come to my house on the day and time I wanted, and they told me how much the service would cost when I called, so no surprises on the price. Not only were they punctual, they were early. After listening to my ?rat sightings? stories, they searched the kitchen and basement, and the outside perimeter of the house for the points of entry. Nature First located the rat?s point of entry on the outside of the house where they were tunneling into the dirt crawl space in the basement and gaining access to the inside of the house. They plugged up the outside hole using foam and copper mesh. In the basement crawlspace, they set 4 professional rat traps and showed us how to safely set and bait the traps in case we needed to do it again ourselves. They were worth the price of the service call just for finding the rat tunnel in the basement! We have had no more rat sightings in 2.5 weeks. I?ll call that a very successful conclusion to a horrible situation. If I ever have a need for an exterminator again, I will call Nature First Pest Control.

FEdge Pest Control
We had evidence of mice under our kitchen sink. The first tech Emmanuel, closed off the entrance points and left traps under the crawl space. Then he left 3 bate boxes inside the fenced area for our dogs. My dogs immediately found them and were very curious. I then put them outside the fenced area. Then I decided I didn't want the bait boxes at all because I didn't want our dogs or the owls exposed to poisoned rodents so I put them in the garage. The next month Zach came to our house. I told him to take the bate boxes away and check the traps under the house. He refused to go into our crawl space, so basically he did nothing. The third person came and said there were two dead mice in the traps and no evidence of any other mouse activity. We decided to cancell the service but I had signed a year service contract which I regret. They also charge a 50% cancellation fee. So we paid about $700 for two dead mice. Also when you sign the electronic service agreement each month, they pre-check the box customer satisfied. I never even noticed that little box when I signed it. An honest company would point it out.

AOregon's Best Pest Control & Real Estate Services
I had the best experience with this company. He came regularly to check traps, was knowledgeable and empathetic. Didn't try to sell us a maintenance package. His price was more than fair and reasonable and he referred us to a company for damage repair.
