We wanted to finish our old basement (demolition, install vinyl plank flooring, windows, doors, lights, some new dividing walls, make 2 closet spaces, painting walls, ceiling beams left uncovered and just spray-painted) including 1) adding French Drains on two sides of the basement and 2) adding a full bathroom. House is relatively old (~1930). Got multiple quotes and the one by Elite Renovation was competitive in addition to 1) covering all the jobs that had to be done (vs some other companies which did only French Drains but no remodeling, or viceversa, or all remodeling except for new windows, etc.) and 2) Larry (the owner) being very professional, honest and helpful in recommending what was worth to do vs what was not. The basement was unfinished but in relatively good shape: no cracked/bowed walls, no water coming in but just some moisture on the two most exposed sides where we decided to have French Drains installed. Square footage of refinished areas was ~650ft2, even though the basement was slightly larger as a couple of rooms were left mostly unfinished (furnace+laundry). The work took approx. 2 months. The Elite’s crew showed up regularly, early in the morning, and worked almost all the time that was available. They regularly cleaned up at the end of the day and were very considerate in the timing for shutting off utilities. Larry regularly provided updates on the work, and was effective in accommodating some decisions’ delays on our side by redirecting work on other aspects of the job. Moreover, he and his crew were very flexible in accommodating some extra-requests we had along the way without, for the most part, charging extra. We are very happy with how the basement turned out, and with the experience with Elite Renovations. We highly recommend Elite Renovations to anyone interested in basement remodeling and in any remodeling work.
