Recent Review: Great! Joel and his crew were perfectionists. They worked very well together to create a beautiful, solid and well-built Trex deck. They worked through rain and heat to have it finished in four days. After the deck was finished, they built the new railing for our front porch. Everything was completed and totally cleaned up in five days. Joel and his crew were very pleasant, hard-working, and knowledgeable. The work was well-done and reasonably priced, and we are very happy with JDR Home Improvements!
Recent Review: First, Ed provided a detailed estimate and took us to see several similar projects he had completed. Our old dilapidated porch (screened and with a roof) on the backside of our home needed to be torn down and hauled away. A dumpster was provided, all material had to be hauled uphill. For the new deck (with roof) new foundations for the support beams were cast, the 10' x 20' base was installed and covered with treated wooden boards. The existing steps to the outside were incorporated in the construction. A railing was added on three sides with an exit via the stairs on the side. The roof is closed on the underside (ceiling) and a fan was installed as well as a light on the wall. Since the new roof had a lower angle than the old one, the siding on the entire side of the upper story of the house needed to be replaced. This included insulation and repairs for insect damage. All exposed wood was treated with water seal. Further, in our entrance hallway cracks were filled and repaired and the door was planed to make it close more easily. Also, an old rail fence was removed and taken away. Ed and his team worked diligently and were helpful in any way they could. They freely gave advice and suggestions. They were easy to work with.
Recent Review: After seeing their product at the Minneapolis Home & Garden show we were convinced that this was the right product for our porch improvement work. The guys from EZ-Screen brought samples to our home to help us select frame color and installation method. They took careful measurements of all of the window and door openings and put our order in motion. A few weeks later our windows and door were delivered. We did this work at the same time we had some exterior siding work done by another contractor. We arranged to have that contractor do the actual installation of the EZ-Screen product. The rep from EZ-Screen came out to our site when the installation started to ensure that our contractor understood how to properly install the windows and door. Everything went smoothly and contractor commented on how easy the windows went in. After three full seasons of use we still enjoy the product and we're pleased that we chose this as part of our porch renovation. It has added several additional months to our porch usage in our short Minnesota summer seasons. I highly recommend this product for any new screen porch or porch renovation job!

Recent Review: I am beyond thrilled with my new front porch. I am a very particular person and the entire crew kept me involved in the building process each step of the way. I was able to determine exactly how I wanted the porch to look down to the inch. No one made me feel as if I was difficult or hard to please. Instead, they confirmed to me over and over that their job was to make me happy.
Recent Review: He used marine wood to replace the porch and also used braces. He did a great job and went above and beyond. As if he was doing the job for himself. He ran into quite a few problems and was very great to work with to fix the issues. We were so thankful to have him, he never once lost his cool. He was more concerned about me being able to get in and out of the house with my walker so that I would not have a problem. He went above and beyond what he had to do to get the job done and make sure that we were taken care of in the process. They are very trustworthy as well. He is worth every penny. He even glued a rug down onto the porch for me, and even glued it onto the side to make it look like it was custom made.
Recent Review: Went pretty well - not quite all of the work we wanted done got done the first time around. Called Bella and let them know what happened. They were very professional and came back out to complete the work with no major headaches. I am very impressed with their customer service as this could have been a huge negative for them in my book, but the folks at Bella were so friendly and professional that they managed to turn it into a positive! They may be a little expensive, but they are very much worth it. I would definitely work with them again.
An excellent job that was done very professionally and in a timely manner. Very good personnel. Very responsive to needs.

My 90 year old home was in need of window replacement and porch repair. The contract was drawn up and the windows were replaced quickly. I had to wait a while for the porch repair because of bad weather, but it was well worth the wait. Rick and his crew were very professional and experienced with dealing with older homes. My new porch looks great.

AThe Healey Company Inc
The Healey Company was one of the only contractors I called where I talked to the actual head of the company. Mike Healey came out to my house and helped me with the entire process in a way that was low pressure and easy to understand. Sure, the price for the work was a little high, but you get what you pay for. Everything came out great and I love my new bathroom.

The first project was a new porch on our rental. When I saw the finished project, I was awe-struck! Not only did we have a new porch, but it was gorgeous! The old, very high (vertical) steps were turned with a 90 degree bend and ended on a porch twice as large as the previous one. It is truly a work of art!! The two porches on our home were equally impressive. The rental property's bathroom far exceeded the overall quality of the rest of the duplex. We were tempted to raise the rent based on the bathroom alone. I will continue to work with Anthony on future project. I trust him personally, and I am always impressed with his professionalism and high quality of his crew. I highly recommend McCann Home Improvement Pittsburgh.

They were very courteous. We have been trying to put a porch on for the last several years. We called them and they came out that day. All of the work was done in about 3 weeks. They were recommended to us by a friend.

The contractor bid was much higher than others and would not break down labor and material pricing. I simply wanted to see what I was paying for in labor and materials. This is the first time I have ever been told that I cannot see a breakdown. I obviously did not choose them as I want to know what I am paying for.

The job was done professionally, quick, and great quality. The roof was replaced with new shingles and the old vents were replaced with a new ridge vent at top of the roof. My porch addition looks great and I've had numerous comments over the past year of how nice the porch looks and how the addition looks as if it should have always been there. All of my expectations were met and exceeded after the job was finished. I have had a year to reflect on the job that was done and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The crew showed up on time every day and they left my house and yard clean after they were done each day.

I apologize - this is long. Our project was completed back on 8/2016. We had issues going into the project which in hindsight should have been enough for us to drop them and find someone else. With me being pregnant at the time, we wanted to project completed before our baby was due. We had issues with the initial permitting and our township office. Meredith couldn't produce proper drawings for out porch roof to be approved. It took weeks for Ty to hire an architect to get the drawings completed - he thought just handing a pencil drawing on a scratch piece of paper was sufficient... Fast forward after completion of the project - the crew was courteous and efficient. A few months later we noticed (during fall rainy season) water running down the front of our house, leaving our front door area wet (it now has a ROOF). We called and called and finally got them to come out. Their solution? Add caulking... We tried for 2 years to get them to come out again and we got the run around (that's if we were able to actually talk to some one.) We finally got another roofing company to come out and inspect. We thought maybe they used to incorrect flashing. After inspection, we found out along with incorrect flashing, the ENTIRE roof was installed incorrectly and water was leaking in between the siding. Luckily everything was covered by the GAF warranty and we weren't tied to using Meredith to make the repairs since it was 2 years after initial install. The management practices of this company is appalling and is the reason why contractors get a bad name. Not to mention the staff turnaround. They are swindling thousands of dollars out of homeowners and employing contractors who do not know how to do proper installs. Their license needs to be revoked. It's down right shameful. If you stayed around to read this - I hope it helps.

The cost of the estimate was about $12900. Everything was good and they are putting in the new porch today. They will be doing the roof and gutters as well. So far I've only met one worker, Brad, and he's good. He's been really spontaneous. He was really prompt and he's getting the porch ready to fix it up.

Ryan was actually early in completing his work (as he has in previous work for me). He managed to unbuild the older porch, empty it of the debris, he stuck to his quote despite finding a larger hole in the foundation than he had anticipated, and built a more secure new porch. He did this all in less than 24 hours and several days early.
